The First Time Experiencing a Museum That Leaves You in Awe!!!

Have you ever been awestruck by the power of nature? I've visited countless zoos, aquariums, and museums~ The saying 'The world is full of wonders' is something I've long understood~ But I never expected... To be so amazed by the exhibits at the National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo!!! I never knew that primitive species of animals could be so gigantic!!!!!!!!!! I always knew that the antlers of deer and sheep come in various styles~ But seeing them in person, With all the different colors, textures, and 360-degree views... It makes you marvel, Nature truly is the most beautiful, grand, and creative artist!!! Both the permanent and special exhibitions are so fascinating!!! And you can rent an audio guide, Gaining knowledge while enjoying the exhibits!! There are great dining options both inside and outside the museum!!! The museum souvenirs are also very interesting and cute!! There are socks with dog and dinosaur bone patterns, and various animal plush toys... I actually bought a lot!!! As long as you find good spots, solo travel won't be boring!~

Perfect for families!

We, a family of 5 adults, visited this museum during our Tokyo sightseeing. This museum is one of the best of it's type, and we've been to many in different countries. Cafeteria is fine, food was delicious and you don't have to reemter to eat. Rooftop garden and museum shop are the cherry on top of the experience. Totally recommend. (Some exhibits are hard to study due to lack of translation but overall everything is clear)#tokyo #museum #japan

National Museum of Nature and Science

#2024wish There is so much to see and do, even as a foreigner who doesn't speak Japanese, photos does not do this place justice. Come and experience for yourself, my 6 & 10 year old thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Even the adults and grandparents had fun. There's an amazing indoor playground for 4-6 only that requires reservations but looks amazing from outside. Take a map at the entrance and plan your journey as there are 2 separate buildings and many different exhibits to see. In order not to get lost or miss anything we just went from top to down. Park next to museum is also very nice. Walking distance from JR Ueno, very convenient. I wish you go back here in 2024

Science-y things

The National Museum of Nature and Science is 2 or 3 buildings (a little confusing) with around 3 storeys each. They have both Global and Japanese galleries for visitors to explore. Along with a 360 degree movie room experience (in Japanese, but translation devices are available). I would highly recommend visiting as it only costs around 600 yen/ pax. Could spend the whole day there. There are also other notable National Museums in the same Ueno Area Getting There - JR Ueno Station

A very interesting place to visit, especially with young children. This place is huge! And it is divided into Halls. The museum exhibits a cool collection of dinosaur skeletons, fossils of insects, plants, and animals which lives in Japan hundred of years ago. It also features the early people, some of their clothings, and even their early techologies. It also have some interactive exhibits which is highly recommended for visitors of all ages. #tripaway
