Pearl in the French Riviera
#beachlife
I cannot think of any other beach destination that packs a punch like Nice does. I mean where else is there a beach destination that offers historic sites, top museums dedicated to artists like Piccaso. All that with the plenty serving of the French chic.
It was my most memorable beach getaway. On the shore of the Mediterranean and sheltered by the Alps, the French Rivera enjoys a year-round mild climate. Nice is the piece de resistance of this French Riviera. And with resorts such as Villefranche sur Mer and Antibes within easy distance. Nice itself has its famed Promenade des Anglais, backing miles of beaches, albeit a pebbly one. It's a beach where most people are not merely there for sunbathing or a dip in the water. These are the best beaches in Europe on which to see and be seen, enjoy a massage, eat in gourmet restaurants, and drink in stylish lounge bars. #beachlife #france #holiday

South France Trip
5 days in South France 🇫🇷 traveling to places like Nice, Valensole, Cannes, Eze and Menton, also crossed the border to Monaco.
Was genuinely a nice trip but the weather recently was not the best, the unprecedented rainy days made it harder to stroll around. But all in all is a good place to visit in Summer ! #france #mytravelhacks #localguides #familytrip

Spring in Nice!
I was in Paris in March. Booked a flight via trip.com to Nice and explore the Southern coastal part of France. It was a great travel experience. Blessed with great weather. Nice is an interesting town to walk around especially the old quarter. We climbed up a small mountain to have a view of the lond beach of Nice. We also took a 30 mins train to explore Monaco. It was lovely! #nicefrance #Monaco

Downtown Nice, France
#wheretogo Exploring downtown Nice, France, is a delightful and enriching experience that goes beyond the allure of the French Riviera's pristine beaches. The city itself exudes a unique charm and charisma that's hard to resist.
While many visitors are drawn to the azure waters, I found that the heart of Nice's appeal lies in its cityscape. Wandering through the streets, you're treated to a diverse culinary landscape that's a true reflection of the French way of life. From savoring the signature Socca in charming small eateries to indulging in buttery croissants at local bakeries, every culinary encounter is a celebration of flavor.
The European-style architecture and historic buildings that line the streets are a visual feast in themselves. Nice's Old Town, with its narrow, winding streets and colorful facades, exudes a timeless European elegance. As you explore, each turn presents you with a new architectural gem, and you can't help but admire the city's rich heritage.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of exploring downtown Nice is the freedom to eat your way through the city. The numerous street-side cafes and bistros offer delectable French cuisine, providing the perfect excuse to take a leisurely stroll and savor the culinary delights along the way.
In summary, discovering downtown Nice is a multi-sensory journey that appeals to the taste buds, the eyes, and the soul. It's a place where you can appreciate the architecture, indulge in delectable French fare, and immerse yourself in the charisma of the city. It's a testament to the idea that there's so much more to the French Riviera than just its beaches, and Nice's downtown is a prime example of that allure.

Terry me
Travelling alone to Nice for 5 days was a unique and unforgettable experience. The city was stunning, with its beautiful beaches, historic buildings, and charming streets. Staying in a hotel with a hot tub and pool made the trip even more enjoyable, as I was able to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.
One of the highlights of the trip was exploring the city on a bike, which was free for most of the time, for some reason. Cycling allowed me to see the city from a different perspective and cover more ground than I would have on foot. I was able to visit many of the city's top attractions, including the Promenade des Anglais, Castle Hill, and the Old Town.
Overall, my trip to Nice was an amazing experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a solo adventure in a beautiful and vibrant city.

Nice, France
❓Did you know that 100 years ago, Nice, France was only a winter resort?
ℹ️ Nice has been a holiday hotspot for over 400,000 years. But up until the 1930s, wealthy visitors would flock here in winter as it was too hot during the summer months. Hotels even closed down as there were no guests.
Aristocrats and European elites would spend a few months in Nice and the French Riviera between November and February to enjoy the milder climate and exotic plants.

Nice, France
Was deciding a trip between Marseille or Nice, away from the bustling Paris. I was happy with Nice as it was a relax and simple getaway.
Nice was terrific, the beach the old town the wonderful street artist. The foods were also fabulous.
The hotel we stay has arranged a surprise for our 25 years weddings anniversary and our room was upgraded; which make our trip here unforgettable. Love Nice.

“Nicest” region in Europe?
Nicest Region in Europe?
Nice, France is located on the French Riviera (or Côte d'Azur). It's easily accessible by airport, car, or bus (Flixbus) as I came from Milan. I like Nice is that you can make it your base for the region. Spend a few days on the beach and at the castle (pictured above). You can do Monaco by bus or car. Then you can also hit Cannes, which is in the opposite direction.
For being on the ocean, the restaurants affordable, but that all depends on your budget. I did find the Farmer's Market expensive, but strawberries in the winter are a luxury.
If you don't want to spend on hotels or Airbnb, there are hostels. Plus, a tram runs through town to the ocean. However, the place is very walkable.
I went off-season, so the crowds were minimal. #tripblazers #fallingforfall #beachlife #travel #france

Beautiful Nice and architecture

Nice will impress you with the architecture, weather, people and more.
The people in the end chose to become part of France. This also caused and exodus of the local Italian population back to Italy. Nowadays, you can see many Italian, architectural notes including also many restaurants offering Italian cuisine.
The city houses over half a million residents in the metro area. It is situated in the Maritime Alps county (department) of France within the southern region of Provence-Alps-French Riviera. The local currency is the Euro.
The city itself is accessible by all means of transportation although flights to this destination tend to be fairly accessible especially out of season.

With its extravagant hotels, beautiful coastline and amazing architecture, Nice leaves tourists wishing they extended their stay. A great visit to the French Riviera or as the French refer to it – the Azure Coast (Côte d’Azur).
