“Osaka Denden Town” that feels like you’ve stepped into a manga🎏🗼
Introducing “Denden Town” located in Osaka ◡̈ I think Denden Town is one of the must-visit tourist spots in Osaka! My accommodation is located in Denden Town, so I think I went there a lot 🤍
There are so many things to see and shops to see in Denden Town that I liked it, but I think people who like animation will especially like it even more ➰! They have a lot of figures and they are sold very cheaply, so I think a lot of people buy them!
If you go to Osaka, be sure to visit it at least once ఇ

Similar to Tokyo’s famous Akihabara area, Den Den Town is a popular shopping destination for fans of Japanese anime and manga. For travellers with an interest in the more, perhaps “geeky” pursuits, this area is an absolute must-see! One of the things I love most about this area is being able to find a number of used electronics stores with more competitive pricing than somewhere like Tokyo. Along the same road, there are also a number of pop culture-related stores, with collectible figurines, DVDs, maid cafes and more. Den Den Town is an interesting area, as while during my few years living in Japan and time travelling here before then, I have seen it change, yet continue to hold its charm.

Otaku Paradise: Exploring the Lively DenDen Town in Osaka!
#japantrip
Visiting DenDen Town in Osaka, located near Namba Station in the Nipponbashi area, was an absolute blast! Known as the otaku paradise, it’s the perfect spot for anime, manga, and gaming fans. The streets were filled with colorful shops, neon signs, and exciting vibes—it was like stepping into another world!
I explored stores packed with rare collectibles, action figures, and endless manga titles. Each shop had something unique to offer, and I couldn’t resist picking up some cool souvenirs. The cozy maid cafes and themed eateries added even more charm to the experience.
DenDen Town is a must-visit for anyone looking to dive into Osaka’s vibrant otaku culture. It’s fun, lively, and full of surprises!

Osaka's own anime district
Den Den Town is like a quarter-scale version of Akiba, nowhere near as large but still just as full of energy. By being smaller it also feels less hectic and crowded which is no bad thing when you're scouring shelf upon shelf of great merchandise to choose from.
Card, game and hobby shops. Very much well worth the visit even if you've spent plenty of time in its Tokyo counterpart.
Tons of anime stuff, great street food too. I really recommend trying Taiyaki and Melon bread along the way, chicken sticks.

Anime & Manga Heaven in Nipponbashi, Osaka 🇯🇵
Japan has always been one of my bucket list destinations and last year I finally got the chance to visit!
📍 Den-Den Town, Nipponbashi is located in Osaka, Japan
This area is Osaka’s answer to Akihabara in Tokyo, but a much smaller space with less stores. Here you can find everything related to anime, cartoons, hobbies, and literally anything to do with Japanese pop culture. The types of merchandise range from DVDs, games for different types of consoles, cards and more. Even if you don’t like anime it’s a really cool area to explore with lots of vibrant signs!

To all the anime lovers out there, never dare miss going to Nipponbashi. This shopping district in Naniwa-ku, Osaka offers a huge number of stores selling anime merchandises, Manga copies, figurines, games, and many more. Otakus, such as myself, treats this place as heaven. If you cannot go to Akihabara is Tokyo, you can always go to Nipponbashi to fulfill you Otaku dreams.
