[2024 Osaka Stay] Travel Guide for OMO7 Osaka by Hoshino Resorts (Updated Nov)
OMO7 Osaka by Hoshino Resorts
OMO7 Osaka by Hoshino Resorts is located opposite JR Shin-Imamiya Station and about 1.2 kilometers from Tennoji Subway Station. This area is one of Osaka's commercial centers, making it a prime location.
The hotel covers a vast area, which is rare in the densely populated city of Osaka. Notably, the building itself occupies nearly half of the total land area.
Upon entering the hotel, the first thing you see is the mezzanine level, with the parking lot (parking fees apply) on the right. The entire space feels exceptionally spacious. At the back of the hotel is a beautiful garden with a dedicated entrance for guests.
The first floor of the hotel is a public area, including the front desk for check-in and check-out, a cozy restaurant, and a comfortable lounge area.
The garden outside the first floor is the hotel's highlight. It is furnished with plenty of tables and chairs for guests, offering a very open space without any sense of crowding. In the evening, several charming pavilions provide guests with free snacks and drinks.
On the left side of the garden is the hot spring bath, which requires an additional fee. Judging by its features, it is likely an artificial hot spring.
The guest rooms are relatively ordinary, resembling small studio apartments. Interestingly, you need to climb up to the bed rather than walk to it in the usual way.
The hotel's breakfast is nothing special. Considering the room rates, this hotel is just average. However, if you enjoy relaxing and chatting outdoors, this is an excellent choice due to its serene environment, free from external disturbances.

Explore Osaka with Locals | citywalk through Shinsekai
| citywalk through Shinsekai. 🚶🏻♂️ Shinsekai in Osaka is a very interesting neighborhood. The landmark building here, Tsutenkaku Tower, stands at 103 meters tall and is very conspicuous, visible at a glance. Underneath Tsutenkaku, there are numerous interconnected streets and alleys filled with small shops, exuding a nostalgic and lively atmosphere, reminiscent of a manga setting.
.
🤩 At night, as Tsutenkaku lights up, the small shops in the alleys also light up their beautiful signs. Some shops have such grand displays that they resemble the lanterns of Zigong, making them perfect for photos. If you climb the 103-meter-high observation deck of Tsutenkaku, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Osaka.
.
🌟 I stayed at OMO7 Osaka, where there is a free daily 'guide' taking guests on a citywalk around the hotel to explore the local vibe. This time, with the OMO Ranger from OMO7 Osaka, I unlocked many interesting details of the Shinsekai area mentioned above, including century-old coffee shops, animal-patterned clothing stores for photo ops, numerous okonomiyaki, takoyaki, and kushikatsu shops, and spots where you can capture the reflection of Tsutenkaku... and more, showcasing a unique Osaka style.
.
🔴 The daily citywalk at OMO7 Osaka only requires a reservation at the front desk in advance. Just gather at the big map in the hotel at the appointed time, and the New World exploration experience is free.
.
In addition to the guided citywalk, OMO7 Osaka offers a variety of rich activities every day, making it hard to keep up.
.
🎇 The neon light art at night is a summer delight. Besides watching electronic fireworks projected on buildings, there are freshly grilled takoyaki and eggplant beer, adding a touch of romance. Kids can participate in making lanterns, stamping, watching woodcarvers at work, and more. Overall, the nightlife is very diverse.
.
🍲 Besides the dazzling OMO Dining, the simple and delicious OMO Cafe & Bar is more convenient. There are several set meals to choose from. I like to take my breakfast to the garden lawn. Eating breakfast while watching the kids play on the grass makes for a pleasant and energetic morning.
.
🛏️ The rooms at OMO7 Osaka are great, with 4 comfortable beds offering good privacy, plus a large glass window providing excellent lighting. The large table in the middle is where we chat and plan our outings... Having such a spacious room in Japan feels almost luxurious.
.
🥰 I love the youthful vibe of OMO7 Osaka. Most of the services are self-service, including check-in and check-out, picking up toiletries, and storing luggage, which makes me feel very young and energetic. However, during dinner, while enjoying a special meal set, I also experienced attentive and meticulous service, offering everything one could need. 💪🏻

This is my fourth visit to my favorite hotel in Japan, the Hoshino Yatsugatake, a parent-child hotel with flat-rate pricing
As the summer vacation is approaching, has everyone made their travel plans yet?
Talking with a friend about Nagano, I remembered to recommend a surprise hotel I had visited before.
I really like Nagano Prefecture in Japan. Nagano is a highland area in Japan, where the summer temperature is cooler than other places, and there are many good ski resorts in winter. I used to love going to Karuizawa, a place I could visit countless times without ever getting tired of it, and I spent almost every summer vacation in Karuizawa.
However, since moving to the central part of Japan, the travel time to get there has become too long, so I can't visit as often.
But I discovered another treasure in Nagano Prefecture, Tateshina.
There are many sanatoriums owned by major companies around Tateshina, and there are ski resorts in winter and a cool climate in summer, making it a great summer retreat.
The last time I went, I booked a newly renovated family suite at this hotel, which is very suitable for staying with children. My child was so happy upon entering the room.
The room's setup and attention to detail were even more perfect than Hoshino's, and there is also a playground for children in the hotel. When it's not crowded, it feels like having a private play area, and mothers can rest nearby.
The hotel's buffet breakfast is also very rich and tasty, and most importantly, the price is only half of Hoshino's.
During my stay, I encountered several families with little babies. Overall, it is a very cost-effective hot spring resort hotel that I would like to visit again.

[Osaka, Shin-Imamiya] A hotel that will make you fall in love with Naniwa🏨
#Hotel review
Osaka is the economic, cultural and transportation center of the Kinki region. It is also a very attractive travel destination. I also love the lively Osaka. I have put together a collection of photos to help those who will be traveling to Osaka someday when choosing a hotel.
OMO7 Osaka by Hoshino Resorts
A "city center" hotel with the theme of "Naniwa Luxury," which means an experience that combines Osaka-style hospitality that incorporates "laughter" and "meddlesomeness," and sophisticated space and high-quality service. It is still a relatively new hotel, opening on April 22, 2022.
OMO Osaka is exciting from the moment the automatic doors open and you enter the hotel. As I was putting together this article, I was thinking, "I want to go again." I can't help but feel like saying that lol
First, there's the open public space "OMO Base".
The "Neighborhood Map" is filled with cute information about the city and welcomes you with a strong presence.
This floor also has cafes and restaurants that are open for day trips.
The high ceilings and large windows give you an overwhelming feeling of openness.
Garden area "Miyagurin".
This area is made up of a large lawn area surrounded by stepped deck terraces and walking paths.
There are also gazebos scattered around where you can watch the trains passing by, so you can have the luxurious experience of relaxing while feeling the lively atmosphere of the city.
In the evening, you can enjoy takoyaki and craft beer at the "After-bath Neighborhood Stand" and fireworks on the hotel wall at "PIKAPIKA Fireworks"!
Go-KINJO is a service that allows you to fully enjoy the city.
There are recommended activities that allow you to experience the deep side of Osaka, such as going around the neighborhood with an OMO ranger or inviting a local to be a speaker and holding a lecture on "What is Naniwa?" (some activities are paid).
Of course, you can enjoy the city of Osaka while staying in a comfortable, Japanese-modern room.
