The hotel will offer you to buy tickets and even queue for the hotel guests, so we don't need to wait there with lots of people. Just when our No. is near, they will gather us and take us to wait by the sea. Fun Times with Whale Sharks of Oslob, Cebu

I and my girlfriend, Coleen, had the chance to swim in the clean waters of Oslob, Cebu and witness the gigantic whale sharks enjoying their time near the coastline. According to the locals, tourists aren’t back yet in numbers as large as pre-pandemic, but local and foreign travelers alike have begun trickling back in. The fewer number of people allowed us the chance to spend “quality time” with the whale sharks, locally called “butanding,” which willingly or unwillingly joined us for souvenir underwater photos! The local fisherfolk and boatmen are more than happy to help tourists capture the rare moments through the GoPro cameras available for rent!

Happy holiday in oslob does not follow the guidelines on how to properly take care of whale sharks. I researched about it and found out they have many violations that can be considered in animal cruelty. Many organizations offer to help them do it the right way but they still haven't done anything. If you love nature and animals, you wont go here. There are better places like Donsol. Whale Sharks in Oslob Philippines was an unforgettable day. The Whale Shark is the world's largest fish and I was able to swim next to several of these beautiful beasts in Oslob, Philippines.
