Parsley Bay is one of the hidden gems of Sydney harbour: a small inlet with a gently shelving beach and pleasant lawn adjacent to the beach. Although parking and access are somewhat difficult, it's worth the effort to see this lovely bay, its interesting suspension bridge and the surrounding opulent area.
Parsley Bay is a delightful nature reserve around a narrow sandy inlet in Vaucluse, on the eastern side of Sydney Harbour. It is particularly good for families: the bay is protected and the water shallow, there's a shark net, a playground, lots of lawn area for running around or ball games, and lots of shady spots for picnics. For older kids who might want to do a bit of exploring there is a wooden suspension bridge that spans the bay and tracks that give access to deeper water. There is also a busy little kiosk where the service is friendly and which serves up good coffee and reasonably prices breakfasts, sandwiches etc. On the downside, parking is fairly tight and public transport not terrific.
Such a great hidden oasis!!!! Heaps of grassed areas for picnics leading into the little beach. Walk around the path on the side with beautiful rock formations to a little jetty and a great view of Sydney Harbor or walk across the suspension bridge. Easily accessible with a car or bus
