Greece No 1 tourist Spot - The Parthenon
The most visited site in Athens - The Parthenon , i would recommend you all to sign up a walking tour with guide because its rich history is fascinating. The temple was dedicated to the goddess of Athena - protector of Athens and been stood on the very ground since 5th century BC.
Recommend to go early in the morning to skip the crowds - we went during the early morning right after they open and took the side gate (beside Acropolis museum) , it was fast as we purchased the ticket online. Winter time is slow season in Greece thus we took some quality photos without being flooded with humans
A must visit attraction and give yourself plenty of time. We spent almost 3 hours there.

A Temple Fit for a Goddess
An impressive example of ancient Greek architecture, the Parthenon is a cultural landmark like no other. It once served as a treasury and at another point housed a Christian church. Now, the Parthenon is a must-see sight and the unchallenged highlight of visiting the Acropolis (and for some, Greece in general).
And with good reason; By many engineers and architects, it is considered the most perfect structure ever built. The sculptures and the Parthenon Marbles are of such exquisite craftsmanship and beauty that they almost seem to breathe.
The Parthenon has been voted the most beautiful building in the world according to Business Insider, followed by The National Congress of Brazil in Brasília, The São Paulo Museum of Art (São Paulo, Brazil) and The Forbidden City Temple in Beijing, (China).

The great Parthenon in the Acropolis
Amazing trip to the acropolis. This is definitely “must visit” place in Greece. You will be exited of seeing all this huge ancient buildings made of pure marble. Big respects to the team who are working on the reconstruction of the sites, you can see a big jog they have done where the “Snow White” marble parts are, these are the new ones.
I highly recommend to enter the acropolis from the main entrance despite huge lines for tickets and to the entrance also!
After you enter go direct to Parthenon and to the view square with Greek flag to see the Olymp and little part of stadium, after the best way is to go down and see the theater and head to exit! have a nice trip and stay in Athens

The Parthenon construction started in 447 BC and t was completed in 438 BC. Currently It is considered one of the most important surviving building of Classical Greece. The Acropolis of Athens: The essence of Greek civilization, encapsulating its long history

(Published the 1645th travel photography article in 56 countries/regions across 5 continents)
Visiting Greece, the first stop is definitely Athens.
As one of the oldest cities in Europe and even the whole world, Athens has a history of over three thousand years and is known as the 'cradle of Western civilization'.
Most of Athens' well-known ancient sites are within the city area and can be visited on foot. Among them, the most famous is what 'National Geographic' magazine described as 'a place of rest for the spirit and ideals of every traveler in this mortal world'—the Acropolis of Athens.
Walking towards the Acropolis on the hill, you will pass by ancient ruins all the way. Today's Acropolis, although incomplete, still has three temples with their frameworks relatively intact: the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the Erechtheion. The rest are just the remains of their foundations.
At the easternmost part of the Acropolis, there is an observatory where you can overlook the entire city of Athens. The land now densely covered with houses once nurtured the greatest civilization in Europe.

The Great Parthenon of Greece
An enduring symbol of Ancient Greece, once a temple, a church and a mosque. It had been set on fire, shattered by bombs and rocked by earthquake, yet its still standing today.

Witness Beauty and History of Acropolis in Athens - Awe-inspiring Parthenon, Intricate Carvings, and So Much More!
One of my greatest dreams finally came true!
Visiting the Acropolis in Athens, a monument of historic significance and architectural beauty, has always been on my bucket list. The Acropolis was once a citadel in ancient Athens, dedicated to the goddess Athena, and has stood the test of time for almost 2,500 years!
But the beauty of the Acropolis is not limited to its age. The Parthenon, the most recognizable building on the Acropolis, is a marvel to behold. It was originally constructed in the 5th century BC as a temple to honor Athena and is considered a symbol of Greek Classical art and architecture. Despite age and natural disasters, the Parthenon has survived and is still an awe-inspiring sight. The intricate carvings and imposing pillars are impressive beyond words.
The history of the Acropolis doesn't stop there. It was once home to several temples, houses, and civic buildings, all with their own fascinating stories. The Propylaea, a grand entrance to the Acropolis, served as a sanctuary for worshipers. The Erectheion was a temple to the gods Poseidon, Athena, and Erechtheus, and is known for its mythical front porch with six distinctive Caryatids.
I couldn’t believe I was able to see these sights with my own eyes and soak up the history and beauty of the Acropolis. A place that has inspired poetry, art, and even political thought for millennia. If you're a history buff, art enthusiast, or architecture aficionado, then the Acropolis is a must-visit.
Join me in exploring the wonders of the ancient world!

Parthenon, Greece’s Main Attraction Is Great
When visiting the Parthenon you can buy a ticket at the entrance or gain access as part of a tour or having an Athens Pass, I opted for an Athens pass that allows access to various key places that are close to eachother making days exploring Athens exciting and easy.
The walk up the Parthenon is easy and takes around 10-15 minutes depending on the foot traffic, once at the Parthenon you are able to witness the huge architectural achievement that still stands today. Once at the top you are gifted to an amazing view with the Greek flag flying high creating a real amazing moment that for me was a key highlight of my trip.
When visiting Greece visiting the Parthenon is on everyone’s bucket list and I would recommend the same, definitely check it out!

The Acropolis Parthenon is said to have a 12-meter-high statue of Athena, made of gold and ivory, with a ton of gold, and then plundered and melted. The Parthenon columns are tilted inward by 7°, which increases the stability of the structure on the one hand and makes it more majestic on the other.
The concept of our generation of Acropolis comes from the cartoon Saint Seiya. So when I came back, someone asked me if the Acropolis was going to stay for a long time, because at least the Golden Saints had twelve palaces. Relying on the grove is a theater, the only building designed and built by the Italians in the Acropolis.
