The war museum is located at the southern tip of Penang Island, inside an old military fort on Bukit Hantu: a name that means ‘Ghost Hill,’ in Malay. Good place to go back in time and relive the footprints of war. The museum is very well kept and preserved. Do wear comfortable shoes to explore as there are actual buildings, escape routes and tunnels for you to crawl and climb on. On entering the tunnel, the temperature dropped immediately – it was cool inside. Please be careful as there were some left over unremoved booby traps. This place is quite a creepy because it is once colonized by the Imperialist and the atrocities committed at this very location.
