Dinosaur Park
That’s what my kids have been calling Ping Shek Playground (坪石遊樂場) . Located on a top of a hill in Choi Hung, this dinosaur theme playground seems to excite kids, taking them into a world of imagination and adventurous (well, at least that’s how my kids played) .
The playground is filled with caves showing archaic wall paintings, dinosaurs bones and fossils, and a castle play. There are swings at the back, slides, bars for climbing and the special one is a holding drops (I’m not sure what is that called officially, it’s like a fireman pole but all you have to do is hold the handle and step on the plate, then let your body weight take you down) .
My kids met some other kids, and they began playing catch, then move on to role playing pirates going on adventure, climbing up and down, using the castle as their base, the cave as dungeon to keep prisoners, and sometimes with serious discussion into where to run and hide.
Mom think: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Kids think: ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Shade: Not really, unless hiding in the cave
Enclosed: No. It’s quite spacious and different exit , so do keep an eye on kids
Toilet: Yes, it’s under LCSD, so it’s public toilet but it’s reasonably clean.
Refreshment: Vending machines near the toilet
How to get there:
- 10 mins walk uphill from Choi Hung MTR station exit A1
- Minibus 82 stops at Choi Hing Court (彩興苑)
- Parking on site right next to tennis court

From Rainbow Village, from the A2 exit of the subway station is Pingshi Village. It is also a public housing village. It is different from the colorful and small rainbow village on the outer wall. The reason why it is red is because of the structure of the square courtyard.
Also found for a long time, originally in an underground passage, looking up from the square patio, the darkness inside the building and the bright sky outside form a strong contrast of light, layered like a light tunnel, a little scary, and very interesting. If it is at night, the lights will come, will this square well be a fantasy? I wanted to follow the residents to take a look at the elevator, but unfortunately was stopped by the aunt, a little regret. Compared to Rainbow Village, it is a lot colder. After all, it is not convenient for girls to take pictures! The phone is lifted over the top of the head, and the parallel line slams, nothing more!
When I arrived at Pingshi Village, it was already more than 12 o'clock. I was thinking about finding a lunch shop to solve the lunch. It was this one. It was in the village. It was quite a bit of Hong Kong. It is also a nearby resident and is very popular. The boss's uncle arranged to sit down and probably looked at the menu. Sure enough, the high price in Hong Kong was first reflected in the catering, and the casual food in the residential area was 30+. I ordered a chicken rib and a ham omelet that I heard the most in the Hong Kong drama. Tea is free if you drink iced tea + 3 yuan.
After a while, a local uncle is at the table. I don't know what to say when we heard what we said. We talked about the food here, education (Mandarin), and of course the recent hot events. . Listening to his speech, he should always come to the mainland to do business. In most Hong Kong people, he is willing to travel with the mainland. After all, he relies on wisdom and hard work to earn money.
I waited for a long time before I went to the restaurant, but I was too rich in chatting with my uncle. I even ignored the taste of the food. The ingredients were quite fresh, but the meat was a bit old, and the pork ribs soup was the only impression! After all, a light meal, you can eat enough!
I have always been happy to go to the small pavilions near some residential areas on the road, and some of them somewhat exclude the so-called net red shop, because there is a chance to better understand this place!

During this trip to Hong Kong, I took a lot of photos from photographers. The favorite is the group of photos taken in Pingshi Village.
was completed in the 1970s. It is also an old public house with more than 40 years of history. It is a witness of Hong Kong's social development. The shape of the square is its characteristic, inside. Look up, there is a feeling of sitting in the sky ~
shooting angle:
up is the best angle, come to the center of the atrium in the center, you can sit on the ground and flat camera up Just fine.
The first three are all lying on the ground, and I explored the effect of stretching my hand out.
There is only one road from Rainbow Village. But there won't be many people here, all of them will come to photography architecture lovers. Don't shout loudly when taking pictures, although this position is taken in the public space of public housing, but be sure to keep quiet.
Address: Pingshi Village, after an exit from the Rainbow Station, an underground passage will arrive.
