The center of Madrid, Plaza Mayor
Plaza Mayor is often regarded as the center of Madrid, and it is easy to see why! Its stunning architecture is a key reason to visit, and is popular with young families keen to soak up the atmosphere and local cafés.
The square dates back to 1619, meaning it has over four centuries of history! Just beyond the western side is the Mercato San Miguel, a popular food market for locals.

Plaza Mayor, an essential thing to see in Madrid
Walking a few meters along Calle Mayor you will reach Plaza Mayor, one of the most picturesque squares in Madrid, especially at Christmas, as it is filled with Christmas decoration stalls and Nativity scenes.
This rectangular square is surrounded by three-storey buildings, among which the Casa de la Panadería stands out, whose ground floor is full of tapas bars. In the center of the Plaza Mayor stands the equestrian statue of Philip III.
The best “bocadillo de calamar” in the city is in one of the streets there, just be aware that the line is always long. #madrid

Madrid is unbelievable, but very interesting.
Many people say that Madrid is a very boring city and there is not much to watch. However, I feel that it is full of life, in addition to a serious leisure life, there are occasional small surprises to add fun to the whole city.
In addition, the Spaniard's overall feeling is also very good, although most of them do not speak English, and occasionally encounter one or two will be very poor, but it is really a more enthusiastic nation in Europe. Just like traveling in Latin America, even if the farce is constant, the ending is always complete, So is in the same mood as the long-lost blue sky, and the pleasure is clear [heart]

Is a beautiful architectural. You able to find information center there. There are shops, restaurants and cafes. I enjoyed my moments there early in the morning because of lesser crowd. As such, I would recommend you to go early in the morning to have a look of the architecture then catch up with a breakfast around that area.

A trip to Madrid, a great spot for travel check-ins
Spain is a beautiful country that is very worth visiting. After our first night in Madrid (quite lazy), we decided to make the most of the next day to make up for it. The next day we started off at Madrid's famous food market, Mercado de San Miguel, where we had some delicious food, and then we headed to Plaza Mayor, the main square of Madrid. Since it is the main square, it is expected that the restaurants and bars around the area might be a bit more expensive than usual. The rest of the time was spent on various things, from eye-catching, stunning Spanish architecture... to colorful gardens... and quaint alleys. One of the main attractions worth seeing here is the Almudena Cathedral, this astonishing cathedral is located opposite the Royal Palace of Madrid.

🇪🇸Exciting walk around Plaza Mayor🇪🇸
🇪🇸Majestic Madrid🇪🇸
Plaza Mayor of Madrid, in the center of the
capital, has more than four centuries of history. It is a symbol of the city and a absolute must-see. This enormous esplanade in the city centre was built in the 17th century by King Philip III, whose bronze equestrian statue stands in the square. It officially opened in 1620 and it is rectangular in shape and lined with pillars and arches.
Over the years it has been the setting for many public events, from bullfights, processions, fiestas and theatrical productions to trials of the Inquisition and even executions. Nowadays, it is home to festivals, concerts and events. The arcades are home to many traditional shops and a plethora of bars and restaurants. Some of the most notable buildings on the square are the Casa de la Panadería, with a frescoed façade, and the Casa de la Carnicería.
During Christmas, they set up a Christmas market and a Nativity Scene❤️ It was really fun to just be in all these at the plaza.

🇪🇸 A walk down Madrid's most beloved square: Plaza Mayor🇪🇸
Winter at Plaza Mayor are resplendent, with twinkling fairy lights on Christmas trees, and shops, musicians, sideshows, Santa Claus characters and nativity scenes all over.
Foodies will appreciate the profusion of restaurants lining the square that serve tapas platters and excellent Spanish wines. Dinners are a more memorable affair later on, as impromptu singing and dancing bring the night to a close.
In walking distance is the food market Mercado San Miguel, offering everything from sangria and mojitos, to croquettes, yoghurt, and seafood. A ten minute walk will get you to Madrid's pride and joy, the Prado Museum.
It's true that this city never sleeps. And Plaza Mayor is testament to this fact. Tip: Go towards lunch, have a walk here and grab a calamari sandwich just outside the plaza

Madrid Citywalk|Mayor Square
A must-visit spot for tourists in Spain — Mayor Square
Mayor Square (Plaza Mayor) is the central square of the Spanish capital Madrid, built in 1620, during the most glorious era of the Habsburg dynasty. The most eye-catching on the square is the equestrian statue of King Philip III. For nearly a hundred years, Mayor Square has been a venue for markets and theatrical performances, a center for various religious activities, bullfighting performances and holiday celebrations, and a gathering place for street artists.
.
There are many small shops around the square, and you can find souvenirs and gifts for travel here. Pay special attention to thieves! They are really crazy, targeting Asian tourists. Perhaps there are few thieves in our country, so we don't have such a strong sense of prevention. Mobile phones in bags and pockets are not safe. Persuade one if you can!
.
Many central attractions are not far apart and can be walked directly to the Puerta del Sol.

A Dazzling Evening in Madrid
A Dazzling Evening in Madrid: Embracing the Festive Spirit Underneath the Christmas Lights
The other day, I embarked on a magical journey through the heart of Madrid to witness the unveiling of the Christmas lights, and it was nothing short of enchanting. The city had transformed into a glittering tapestry of festive colors, and every corner seemed to whisper tales of holiday joy. Starting in the iconic Puerta del Sol, where the grand Christmas tree stood tall and proud, the radiance of the lights spread like a warm embrace throughout the bustling square. It was a sight to behold, with locals and visitors alike sharing smiles and capturing the moment on their cameras.
Venturing into the vibrant neighborhood of Malasaña, the narrow streets adorned with twinkling lights felt like stepping into a scene from a holiday movie. The lively atmosphere was contagious, with cafes offering seasonal treats and shops displaying festive window decorations. As I strolled along Gran Vía, the grandeur of the buildings was complemented by the spectacular light displays that adorned the thoroughfare. The Christmas spirit had undeniably taken hold of the city, and the joyful hum of conversations and laughter filled the air.
One of my favorite discoveries was the dazzling display in Plaza Mayor, where the historic square transformed into a festive spectacle. Adorned with intricate decorations, it became a central hub for holiday festivities. The vibrant Christmas market added an extra layer of charm, offering handcrafted ornaments and seasonal delights. From Plaza Mayor, I continued my journey through the beautifully illuminated streets, finding hidden gems in the lesser-known corners of the city.
In conclusion, Madrid's Christmas lights are a testament to the city's ability to embrace the spirit of the season. Whether you're a local seeking familiar delights or a visitor experiencing the magic for the first time, exploring the Christmas lights in Madrid is an absolute must. The city's radiant transformation serves as a reminder of the joy that comes with the holiday season and the power of shared moments under the glow of festive lights.

Gran Via is to Madrid what the Champs Elysees is to Paris. This magnificent street is synonymous with the city and has been the location for many Madrid-themed movies and TV shows. Hang out at Puerta del Sol
Madrid's second square, Puerta del Sol is the center of Madrid's - mainly Spanish - life. Keep an eye out for the kilometer zero board, which marks the start of the country's six national highways. Visit the Cibeles Palace located in the Plaza de Cibeles of the same name.
Visit the Royal Palace of Madrid
The Royal Palace is the official residence of the Spanish royal family, although today it is used only for ceremonies. Originally a Moorish castle built by Mohammed I, it was destroyed by fire in the 18th century. Soon after, the palace was completed in 1738. I was very impressed with Madrid because of the small street of Stone Road in JOLIN's Madrid Unbelievable MV. The cute foreign little is too sunny. But later I learned that the MV framing was originally in Budapest... Well, anyway really came to Madrid. I didnt think its unbelievable or Madrids indifference. Its just as a countrys capital. The people who traveled like many big cities have their own Careful and fast-paced life without the free and easy enthusiasm of the southern cities.
The prestigious Madrid Plaza Mayor.
Deliberately added to Madrid because Mayor is actually a transliteration of MAYOR...that is, big, the main meaning.
So there are a lot of places in Spain that have to be added to the Plaza Mayor. The statue in front of

Although it is called "The Grand Place", it is not much worse than our Tiananmen Square
but the exquisiteness and ornamental value are still very high. We walk around the square to enjoy the warmth of the afternoon. sunlight.

Spains feelings have always been passionate. This is especially true in the midsummer Madrid, where the Mayo Plaza is hot in the sun, and for the sake of food bears holding raspberries we are not afraid to look for it until we see the statue. "Bears holding raspberries" is not to eat... then learn to take a pose together. There are many beautiful buildings in Madrid: the palace, the gates of Alcala, the Retiro Park, etc. Find a holiday and explore for yourself. Right~
