My Recommendations at Bed Bath & Table
#traveldiaries
For those who love to entertain, Bed Bath & Table’s selection of tableware is a must-see. The store features a range of dinnerware, glassware, and cutlery that can elevate any dining experience. I particularly recommend the porcelain dinner sets, which are both stylish and practical. Their timeless designs make them suitable for both everyday use and special occasions.
To create a warm and inviting atmosphere in your living space, consider investing in some of the cozy throws and cushions available at Bed Bath & Table. The store offers a variety of textures and colors, allowing you to mix and match to suit your decor. I suggest the knitted throws for their comfort and aesthetic appeal. They are perfect for snuggling up on the couch during a movie night or adding a pop of color to your living room.
Scented Candles and Diffusers: Aromatic candles and diffusers can transform the ambiance of any room, and Bed Bath & Table has an impressive selection to choose from. Whether you prefer floral, fruity, or woody scents, there is something for everyone.

Shopping for Nature Home Decorations
I'm going with my wife to shop for nature-themed home decorations at Slow Green Nature Decor. Slow Green at Plaza Singapura is a special store that sells home decorations inspired by nature. They use preserved natural materials that don't need any care and can last for many years. Unlike real plants, preserved ones don't need watering or sunlight, so they're great for people with busy lives. The way they preserve the plants is good for the environment because it cuts down on waste and doesn't need constant replacements. The price is on high side but it lasts for years.

McDonald's New Ha Cheong Gai Chicken Burger
The Ha Cheong Gai Chicken Burger is inspired by the traditional zi char dish, Ha Cheong Gai, which is a prawn paste fried chicken. This dish is a staple in many Singaporean households and eateries, known for its rich, umami flavor and crispy texture. McDonald’s has taken this beloved dish and transformed it into a burger, making it accessible to a wider audience.
At the heart of the Ha Cheong Gai Chicken Burger is a crispy chicken patty that has been marinated in prawn paste, giving it a distinctive and robust flavor. Each bite is packed with the familiar taste of Ha Cheung Gai, but in a new and exciting format. To complement the Ha Cheung Gai Chicken Burger, McDonald’s Singapore has also introduced other local-inspired items such as the Satay Chicken Burger, Satay Beef Burger, and Crisscut Fries. Additionally, the Thai Milk Tea Frappé offers a refreshing beverage option that pairs perfectly with the rich flavors of the burger.
Have you tried this new burger yet? What are your thoughts on McDonald’s incorporating local flavors into their menu?

Relaxing Afternoon at Tiong Bahru Bakery
#singaporetrip
Tiong Bahru Bakery is a nice place where you can relax and enjoy some tasty treats. We love their Pain Au Chocolat, it tastes really good, sweet and yummy, best to go with Cappuccino. Other popular options are eclair with chocolate cream, almond croissant, savoury croissant and more. They were all delicious and big enough to share. The staff there were helpful and kept the place clean. We'll definitely go back again sometime.

Free desserts and side dishes
For an affordable fee on top of ordering from the a la carte menu, you can have access to free-flow desserts and side dishes like glass noodles and preserved vegetable at this restaurant! They also have a mind-boggling selection of possible sauces and condiments that you can mix and match according to your preferences.
My family always comes here for our family dinners as the broths are really hearty, plus the quality of the chicken, pork and beef served here is pretty decent. If you’re lucky, you can google search for secret keywords to tell the staff in order to receive some freebies!
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🍦YOLE : Magical 🧙♀️ Froyo 🍦
Address - 68 Orchard Road, #01-22A, Plaza Singapura, Singapore 238839
Ambiance/Facilities - Bright , White and blue colour paint 🎨 on walls and Air-conditioned.
Highlights - Ibiza Froyo 🍦, wide range of toppings, seasonal froyo flavours available and new interesting crunches.
Avg. Price per Person - SGD7
Rating - 8/10
Our first Ibiza was made up of the original flavour froyo 🍦 , strawberries 🍓 , grapes 🍇 , Chiquilín Energy biscuits 🍪 , Artinata wafers, and topped with durian sauce. Chiquilín Energy is a sweet chocolate 🍫 chip biscuit that paired well with the froyo, and held a good crunch despite being trampled on by the icy 🥶 froyo.
Yole is definitely worth a visit. I would be heading back down myself – only when there isn’t a queue.

台风 typhoon Taiwanese cafe at PS level 4
chanced upon this plaza Singapura eatery under creative eateries group (bangkok jam, suki-ya, Tanglin eats, suki-ya kin etc.) when our devoted AIA Insurance Agent provided us a $25 birthday voucher.
though the prices are not cheap, the staff were devoted and friendly. there was particularly a young trainee whom is very sincere and looked out for us with a toddler needs. the interior decor was warm and cosy as well.
we spent a total of $41 for a oyster mee-sua, dry braised meat rice, and a caramel milk tea with pearl. the toddler loves the mee sua while I enjoyed the rice more as it’s more filling. don’t forget to scan receipts with Capitastar after your meal!

Cô Chung Vietnamese Food
You will love vietnamese food if you have tried the food here. Their BunCha was really nice. Roasted bbq pork eating together with their rice noodles dipped into the flavoury sweet soup was delicious. Taste was very close to the authentic one which I had before in Hanoi. I miss Hanoi so much haha. I also tried their chicken Pho at the same time. Big chucks of chicken meats. But their rice noodles were a little bit thick. Taste was quite normal and did not give me the Wow factor. But their BunCha is a must try. 👍🏼

Green Travel
#greentrip #greenliving #greentravel
We can help save the earth and environment by adopting some of these green tips, be it when traveling or at home:
1. BYO- Bring your own water bottle. Take note of Water Refill points to refill your water, instead of buying water and throwing it away after use, thereby reducing plastic waste. I usually bring my own water bottle when going out, and have refilled countless times at Muji, airports, parks etc.
2. Bring your own Bag to reduce the use of single-use bags. Similarly, bring your own Bag when going out so that you can pack all your purchases inside after that. You can get those where it can be reduced to a small bag to save space.
3. Recycle Bin - When traveling, there are bound to be some bottles we use, so look out for recycling points where you can throw these bottles into.
4. Support those Reduce Waste initiatives such as the POOL Project at Muji, where they use the leftover cloth scraps to make new clothes. Alternatively, you may also visit second hand clothes outlets and purchase these 2nd hand clothing. I had purchased some both at home and overseas & they all look like new.
5. Bring your bottles for refill. This will be a bit tough to do while traveling, but you can certainly do it at home.

free coffee when you download the apps and order through it! we saw this for our first time in plaza Singapura and gave it a try! the flat white was yummy and creamy! love the outlook and fun with it. you can actually see how they prepare the entire drink. and your name and order will be stated on the screen throughout the process. when it’s done just scan the QR code to collect. it’s really cool and attracted many bystanders to try it out!
they have a few pop up baristas, some near Tanjong Pagar and Cbd area. do give it a try! the flat white is priced around $4.50 usually which is reasonable as well

Lovely Desserts from Beard Papa's
Well-known for their cream puffs, Beard Papa's celebrates their annual Papa day (pun of name) with $2.50 cream puffs on 7 and 8 August. For the Plaza Singapura outlet, you can choose from the Custard, White Peach or Peach Melba flavour.
We were attracted by the bell ringing sound and thus saw the promotion. Once you made your orders, the staff will then take one of the puffs and fill it up with your preferred cream/custard before then calling for your number to collect.
The cream puffs were quite soft and fillings can be seen once you bite into the puff, albeit not totally full. However, there's still plenty of cream and as you bite in more, the cream bursts out and overflows out of the puff. Simple lovely yummy delights and sweet treats to try!
