Zizhuyuan Park
It is situated in the Haidian District of northwestern Beijing and comprises three picturesque lakes with small islands within them.
The lakes are connected by bridges. The water is full of lotus flowers in summer and surrounded by tall willow trees. Here and there pavilions offer shade and a place to relax.
There are several groves of splendid bamboo hence its name of "Purple Bamboo Park" - indeed around 50 species of bamboo can be found here. Some of the buildings, bridges and other structures are constructed from the bamboo.
Also of note are the lovely plum blossoms which flower in spring.
The dredging of the lakes and building of the artificial hills dates from the 12th century with further renovations during the Ming dynasty and again in 1959.
It is possible to be rowed on a traditional, covered boat on the lakes.

Zizhuyuan rewards maple to see ginkgo, autumn scenery is good, free
Beijing enjoy autumn colors, not far, free, people are still less! ? Look at this!
Located in Haidian District, the Zizhuyuan Park next to the National Library wins with bamboo scenery, but the cherry blossoms in spring, the ginkgo and red maple in autumn are also very good. When the crowds flock to Xiangshan on weekends, there are often not many people in Zizhuyuan.
Look at Ginkgo: The scale of Ginkgo in Zizhuyuan Park is not as good as that of Diaoyutai, but it is very old and very powerful. From afar, even a few trees are particularly eye-catching and self-contained. When the weather is good, don't bother to look for it. If you go to the most dazzling yellow, you must be ginkgo.
Red Maple: The maple trees in Zizhuyuan are basically ingots, about twenty or thirty. Although it is not a piece of forest, the shape of the tree is very attractive, and the color is gradually reddening, which is very eye-catching. Many people are here to pick up the leaves and take pictures, which is the most beautiful autumn scene.
Practical tips:
Tickets: Zizhuyuan tickets free
Opening time: October-April: Opening time 6:00, stop time 20 :00, closing time 21:00
Traffic information: Get off at the National Library Station of Metro Line 4 and Metro Line 9, and walk on foot.
The National Library next to the Zizhuyuan also has a huge ginkgo, quite beautiful

⛰[Travel Guide]
The chrysanthemums in Zizhuyuan Park are in full bloom, and the scenery is too beautiful to miss. The ground is covered with yellow chrysanthemums, like a dream! Some say there are more people than flowers here, and I believe it because the chrysanthemum exhibition is so beautiful!
After more than a year of renovation and maintenance, the Zizhuyuan Park Palace has completed its protective renovation work and will be open to the public from November 1. It was once the resting place for the emperors and empresses of the Qing Dynasty on their way to Wanshou Temple and Suzhou Street. It is a shining pearl on the Beijing Grand Canal Cultural Belt. The palace is now one of the main exhibition areas of the Zizhuyuan Park Chrysanthemum Exhibition.
The chrysanthemums and ancient buildings complement each other, showing the beauty of classical architecture. The flower arrangement exhibition in Jingyi Zhai features a variety of chrysanthemum flower arrangements, attracting us to take photos.

The royal palace is open after renovation.
After being closed for nearly a year, the Zizhuyuan Palace is reopening. The renovation took a long time, and many people peeked through the door every day to see how it was going.
Check-in attractions:
[The charm of ancient ginkgo]
There are two ancient ginkgo trees planted during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and their 400-year history makes them particularly magnificent. The golden leaves shimmer in the sunlight, like countless golden butterflies dancing, attracting countless tourists to stop and admire.
[The grand chrysanthemum exhibition]
During the "Autumn Rhyme Zizhu·Chrysanthemum Painting" chrysanthemum exhibition, the palace, as an important exhibition area, displayed various beautiful chrysanthemums, which complemented the ancient buildings and formed a beautiful autumn picture. Zizhuyuan Park in autumn.
Photos taken on November 5!
Beijing is beautiful in late autumn.
The maple trees in Zizhuyuan Park are turning red!
I went there today! The maple trees near Wenyue Tower are 90% red.
They are expected to be fully red in about a week! They are so beautiful.
I was amazed by the current state of the trees. I will come back when they are fully red!
In addition to the maple trees, Zizhuyuan Park is full of beautiful scenery.
Some of the Chinese sweet gum trees are yellow, and some are in gradient colors. They are really beautiful!
The best time to visit is expected to be in the next 1–2 weeks!

Like an oil painting~ Zizhuyuan Park, October 27, 2024.
❤️❤️❤️ I haven't been to Zizhuyuan Park for a long time, and I didn't expect its beauty to reach a new level.
🌟 Walk along the south side from the east gate, and soon you'll find a bridge. Curious why people are taking photos of the bridge hole, I used my camera to capture this oil painting-like green, green water, green trees, and sunlight dappling the calm water. Photo 1
🌟 Continue west and you'll reach the famous tree. Standing in front of it, you might feel like worshiping it. Photos 2 and 3. A friend commented that Zizhuyuan Park has many tall, thick, and ancient trees. Thanks to the park for protecting them so well.
🌟 Continue west and you'll see green, yellow-green, and yellow, all beautiful under the blue sky.
🌟 Head north to the Wenyue Pavilion, where a red maple tree stands out.
🍗☕️🍝 Nearby is Tianfuhao Restaurant, where you can enjoy both food and scenery.
🌟🌟🌟 Zizhuyuan Park is famous for its bamboo, and you can see different varieties of bamboo in the park, each with its own characteristics.
🌟🌟🌟 The park is full of Peking opera fans, choirs, musicians, tai chi practitioners, models, dancers, and more. Interestingly, the lively atmosphere and the quiet scenery blend together perfectly!

Beijing's Little Jiangnan🍃 | Zizhuyuan Park in early autumn is like a painting
I had a few hours to spare in the afternoon, and I was near Zizhuyuan Park, so I thought I'd go and see this park that I've always heard about. It's really, really beautiful! The early autumn weather is clear and refreshing, with arched bridges, small boats, and birds... It's like walking into a painting. And the water is really clean and "plump", you can sit here and absorb a lot of energy.

A landscape garden park with the theme of 'bamboo'
'Zizhuyuan Park' is located on South Zhongguancun Street in Beijing. It was first built in 1953 and named after the 'Fuyin Zizhuyuan' temple from the Ming and Qing dynasties located in the northwest part of the park. The park's layout is characterized by 'three lakes, two islands, and one embankment' due to the South Changhe River and Shuangzi Canal running through it. Zizhuyuan Park is a comprehensive park themed around bamboo. The landscaping within the park strives for natural beauty, with pavilions, corridors, pavilions, and halls arranged in an orderly manner. Bamboo groves and flowers are artfully placed throughout, creating picturesque views in every direction and pleasant scenery in all seasons. The park features dozens of unique bamboo species, using bamboo to create landscapes and showcasing the distinctive characteristics of Jiangnan gardens.

In the Zizhu Garden, there is a scenic spot called 'Crossing the Sea to Conquer the East
' Chinese chess, with its profound and ever-changing strategies, deeply attracts a wide range of enthusiasts. 'Crossing the Sea to Conquer the East' is also a famous endgame in Chinese chess. Based on this, a scenic area behind the hospital was created and named 'Crossing the Sea to Conquer the East.' Here, you can find various shapes of chess manuals or endgames, vividly attracting many chess enthusiasts and tourists. It is also a very nice tourist spot.

A free and open park beloved by the people of Beijing
Zizhuyuan Park is a free and open park. During the Qing Dynasty, the emperor would pass through the Imperial Canal here on his water route to the Summer Palace. There is a dock, Emperor Qianlong's palace, and temples. The lake is expansive, with gentle ripples glimmering on the surface.
Strolling through the park, one is surrounded by lush green bamboo. A gentle breeze stirs the bamboo leaves, creating a rustling sound, as if whispering. The weeping willows by the lake sway in the wind, resembling a young girl's long hair. On the lake, small boats glide softly, leaving behind ripples. The pavilions, terraces, and towers in the distance are reflected in the water, forming a beautiful picture scroll.
The pavilions inside Zizhuyuan are also very beautiful. There are restaurants and fitness areas in the park, and many people come here to sing and dance. This park is greatly loved by the citizens. In winter, it is also a great place to bring children for ice sports.
Transportation: The bus service is very convenient, and there is a paid parking lot in front of the park.

Zizhuyuan Park
Beijing's Zizhuyuan Park can be called a treasure park, with small bridges over flowing water, deep bamboo forests, and moonlit lotus ponds, it has all these features, and it's free with no reservation required.
Large areas of green trees and lush bamboo are dripping with vitality, forming a natural oxygen bar. Just sit down and space out.
In spring, peonies, fringe trees, vulgaris, and hydrangeas bloom in succession; in summer, when the lotus flowers are in full bloom, you can pay 15 yuan to take a leisurely ride in a hand-rowed boat through the lotus pond, with only the sound of oars splashing in the water and the croaking of frogs in your ears, and a full view of the lotus flowers and leaves within reach, which is quite poetic.
The northernmost part of the park, the Youxian Mountain Pavilion, with its pavilions, terraces, towers, artificial mountains, strange rocks, and architectural corridors, is full of Suzhou-style charm and is great for young ladies to take photos in ancient and modern Chinese styles.
Transportation is convenient, within the third ring of the city center, with multiple bus and subway lines leading to the entrance.

Zizhuyuan, a park brimming with vitality!
Zizhuyuan is truly a treasure of a park.
Spring boasts the red plum blossoms of the Youxian Guild Hall, as beautiful as those in the south of the Yangtze.
Summer offers the lotus flowers of the oar-touched lotus ferry, as if one has mistakenly entered a realm of lotuses.
Autumn has the red maples and the internet-famous divine tree.
Winter provides a natural ice rink with various types of ice sleds.
But the beauty of Zizhuyuan is far more than these.
Spring in Zizhuyuan is filled with the comfortable vitality of life.
In autumn, the stunning divine tree begins to turn green.
Willows can be seen everywhere, swaying in the wind.
Looking up, one can see the full measure of spring's vitality.
At this moment, the park's 20-minute theory is effective.
Why not find a quiet place away from the flower-chasing crowd?

Beijing's Zizhuyuan - Youxian Shanguan, with white walls, dark tiles, and upturned eaves, where red plum blossoms and green willows meet the azure sky
The Youxian Shanguan located in the northeast corner of Zizhuyuan Park is a typical Jiangnan-style garden complex, consisting of a lake, hall, pavilion, and covered walkways. With its flying eaves and upturned corners, dark tiles and white walls, bamboo groves and plum blossoms, green willows and clear streams, it fully embodies the gentle charm of the Jiangnan water towns.
Adorned with a few blooming red plum trees in the spring, it's simply a breathtakingly beautiful painting.
A must-see beauty spot when visiting Beijing. Nearby, you can also visit attractions such as the Beijing Art Museum, Beijing Zoo, and Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum.

Not Jiangnan, yet surpasses Jiangnan! Beijing's "Little Jiangnan" Zizhuyuan with apricot and plum blossoms
Spring breeze caresses the face, and apricot and plum blossoms bloom. Hidden in the lesser-known Zizhuyuan Park in Beijing is a mysterious Jiangnan-style garden. The Chinese architecture with white walls and grey tiles contrasts charmingly with the pink flowers, as if you've stepped into a Huizhou-style courtyard. It unfolds like a scroll painting, showcasing the unique charm of Jiangnan. There are dense bamboo paths, crystal-clear lakes, and a breeze carrying the fragrance of flowers, creating an otherworldly paradise of blooms. Take advantage of the sparse crowds and the flowers still in bloom, and hurry over!
📸 For friends who want to go for a photo shoot, it's best to choose a sunny day when the light is soft and the effect is even better. The best times for photography are from 8 am to 10 am and from 3 pm to 5 pm. If you want to enjoy some delicious food after admiring the flowers, why not try the Zhuyun Restaurant in the park, which is both tasty and affordable.

On the day of the shoot, it was rare to have a bit of light near evening, and then the weather turned to clear skies for the following days, which is highly recommended for the weekend

When it comes to a sense of relaxation, the elderly Beijingers at Zizhuyuan Park really know their stuff
Many people post about foreigners lounging on lawns abroad, but when it comes to chilling out, Beijing's seniors are quite adept too.
Upon entering Zizhuyuan, one is not only captivated by the spring scenery but also by the contented demeanor of the retired uncles and aunties.
There are those playing musical instruments, playing chess, taking photographs, engaging in various impressive skills, and some doing things that are simply beyond comprehension.
The most thrilling are the teams singing revolutionary songs.
Singing revolutionary songs really invigorates the spirit and blood!
Just listening to them for a while makes one's blood surge with excitement! It makes me want to join them!
When I retire, I too will come to Zizhuyuan Park to sing revolutionary songs!
