This was a 3 day tour group trip which I felt ended way too soon. From Shanghai by bus it took us about about 5 hours and thankfully traffic was smooth . I’m not a fan of long rides but this was a great way to make new friends ! Arrived at the lake resort hotel (beautiful ❤️) around 2pm , headed over to a lake restaurant for some delicious lunch and then went cycling . Although it was hot , I pretty much enjoyed it . There’s like a special “cycling “ path of 140 km 😀 Next day we went kayaking and rafting!! best kayaking experience ever .It’s not too crowded compared to other rafting bases , and the prices are super reasonable .The base overlooks a highway and the scene is just amazing.. Last day , we went for a short hike through a nearby mountain. Walking along the path in the green forest filled with refreshing air just cleanses your lungs and mind. Eating the fish head, was never my favorite before I came to 千岛湖(Thousand islands lake) . But every restaurant that you visit in 千岛湖 totally recommend this 胖头鱼 which literally means fat fish head. Also this dish & fish amaze me that fish head also has lot of 肉 (meat) to eat. Along with that the spicy chicken (perfectly 65 days grown) was such a delicacy. Moreover you will also learn a new skill, on how to eat out of the shell. The process is you take a toothpick, and pick the meat out haha ! Qiandao Lake or also known as Thousand Island Lake is a huge lake located in zhejiang province. It is reachable by train from hangzhou or even shanghai. There are 2 parts of this lake, so make sure you spend at least 2 days here. #happynewyear #happynewyear

This time, we went to the Southeast Lake District, following online guides to Huangshan Peak. Upon reaching Huangshan Peak, if you don't want to walk to the viewing platform, there's also a cable car for a quick ascent, allowing you to enjoy the scenery effortlessly. After docking at the pier, we encountered a symphony performance event. While others had random encounters, this time it was finally my turn. After going up, a scroll painting of 'The World Belongs to the People' slowly unfolded. The clear lake water and the scattered islands showcased another kind of magnificence of Qiandao Lake. This scenery made the visit to the island worthwhile! 🎤 What I didn't expect was how lively it was after coming up. There was a flash mob event called Song, A World Listening to the Symphony of Mountains and Waters.🏞️ A group of people were singing the song 'My Motherland and I', standing on the viewing platform and singing with strangers, overlooking the world belonging to the people. The motherland is flourishing, the youth are in their prime, and people are expressing their love for the world in their own ways. The scene was quite lively, and the musical atmosphere was strong.👍 Visiting the island to experience 'The World Belongs to the People' was really worthwhile. The natural wonders are worth experiencing in person. 👣 Indeed, some journeys can only be truly felt by walking them yourself. Only on the road can we truly feel the differences in the world.

Touring the Southeast Lake Scenic Area of Qiandao Lake

Arriving at Qiandao Lake at noon, we took the 12:45 boat to the Southeast Lake area. This boat only goes to Huangshan Peak and Tianchi Island, and the round trip takes about four hours. The first-floor ticket, including the island fee, costs 195 yuan. To go to the second floor, an additional 33 yuan is required, and you can move around on the deck. There were relatively few people on this boat, and only four or five people went to the second floor, allowing for plenty of photo opportunities. The first stop is Huangshan Peak, with an hour of playtime. Although the mountain is not high, it takes about 20 minutes to walk up, but the entire route involves climbing stairs. You can also choose to take the cable car, which costs 50 yuan for a round trip. At the top of the mountain, you can see the islands shaped like the characters '公' and '下'. The second stop is Tianchi Island, with 45 minutes of playtime. This island is relatively easier to climb, not as high, and takes 20 minutes to reach the top. The main attractions are the Tianchi at the top of the mountain and feeding the fish, which is not very entertaining. Be sure to return to the boat on time after touring the island, as the boat will depart punctually.
