[2024 Qingdao Stay] Travel Guide for Qingdao Yihai Garden Hotel (May Fourth Square) (Updated Oct)
🌟 Qingdao Chic: Yihai Garden Hotel Highlights 🌟
Nestled in the heart of Qingdao, the Yihai Garden Hotel is a gem that's worth every yuan! 🏨
First off, talk about a room with a view! You'll be living large in their spacious, modern rooms, boasting cityscapes that'll make your heart skip a beat. 🌆 And cleanliness? They've got that down to an art, ensuring a super clean stay.
Service with a smile is the Yihai way! The staff are polite and professional, ready to make your day with gestures like accommodating a late checkout for those pesky late flights. ✈️ But heads up, while they're generally great, they might give you a puzzled look if you ask about their airport shuttle.
Now, let's chat amenities. While you might need to give the breakfast a miss or store your snacks in the front desk fridge (as the room's might be on the fritz), the overall value for money can't be beaten. 💰
Step outside, and you're a stone's throw from the Mixc shopping mall, perfect for a retail therapy session or a bite to eat. 🛍️ And when you're ready to call it a day, your air-conditioned sanctuary awaits (just double-check it's working first!).
Find this urban oasis at 5 Middle Hong Kong Road, Shinan District, Qingdao, Shandong, China.

Qingdao Travel Guide, avoid the crowds and enjoy the seaside charm!
🎉The holiday is finally here! This time I chose Qingdao as my destination, to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and feel the charm of the seaside city. I stayed up all night to put together this guide, hoping to help those who are about to go to Qingdao!💖
🚄Travel Options
Qingdao's transportation is very convenient, with high-speed rail or self-driving recommended. If taking the high-speed rail, Qingdao Station is suggested as it is close to the city center and convenient for sightseeing. If arriving by plane at Jiaodong Airport, a taxi ride to May Fourth Square is about 50 kilometers, or you can take Metro Line 8 and then transfer to Line 3, which is also a very convenient option.
🏨Accommodation Recommendations
Near May Fourth Square or Qingdao Station are good choices. I personally experienced two hotels: Qingdao Haiyi International Apartments and Yihai Garden Hotel. Haiyi's rooms are spacious, similar to family apartments, with single rooms about 80 square meters; Yihai is a standard hotel size, about 40 square meters, newly opened in 2023, with new facilities.
🌈Itinerary Planning
📅Day1: After dropping off your luggage, you can go to Yanqin Restaurant to taste local cuisine, then visit attractions such as St. Michael's Cathedral and Zhan Bridge, enjoy the night view at the Olympic Sailing Center's Lover's Dam, and finally enjoy a seafood feast at Mingchao Seafood Stall.
📅Day2: Start the morning at Reluctant Day and Night Coffee Shop, then head to the popular Graffiti Wall and University Road for check-ins, followed by visits to Xiaoyushan Park, Taiping Mountain Cableway and other attractions, and taste local food on Taidong Pedestrian Street at night.
📅Day3: Head to Yan'er Island in the morning to taste the old Qingdao Chuozi meat, then visit Lu Xun Park, Qinyu Road and other attractions, enjoy food at Yuehai Beer House in the evening, and finally watch the light show at May Fourth Square.
