Hangzhou, a charming city nestled in China, is a true haven for those seeking to slow down and embrace life at a leisurely pace. The old town street, with its timeless allure, encapsulates the essence of tranquility. Strolling through its cobbled pathways, you'll be transported to a bygone era, where time seems to stand still.
As the modern world races on, Hangzhou offers a respite from the bustling chaos, encouraging visitors to savor each moment and appreciate the simple joys of life. The gentle flow of the West Lake, surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque pavilions, invites contemplation and serenity.
In this city, the rhythm of life slows down, allowing you to savor the delicate flavors of local cuisine, indulge in traditional tea ceremonies, and connect with the warm-hearted locals. Whether you explore ancient temples, admire the graceful architecture, or meander along the historic streets, you'll be charmed by the authenticity and tranquility that permeates the atmosphere.
Hangzhou's essence lies in its ability to encourage you to appreciate the present, to breathe in the fresh air, and to find contentment in the little things. So, if you yearn to escape the hustle of the modern world and embrace a more relaxed way of life, Hangzhou is the perfect destination to unwind, reflect, and experience the art of slowing down.#本地遊 #hangzhoutrip

The famous street in Hangzhou
🏯Qinghefang Ancient Street is one of the oldest streets and is also a well-reserved historic street in Hangzhou city.
It thrived during the Song Dynasty and considered one of the wealthy cities in the ancient time. Many famous stores located along this ancient street. It is best to have a local tour guide so that you can walk to the shops and understand their traditional trade passing down through generations.

Hefang Street: Where Culture meets history ✨
#visithangzhou The street was built during the Southern Song Dynasty, a time when Hangzhou was the capital of Zhejiang Province.
The street is a popular attraction in Hangzhou filled with shops offering traditional snacks and food 🍜 as well as the famous Longjing tea 🍵 . This is also the perfect place to shop for Chinese style gifts 🪭 and souvenirs 🎐
It’s also a beautiful place for gazing at artisans at work with various types of traditional Chinese handicrafts 🖌️ such as calligraphy, paper cutting, painting 🖼️
Hefang street is also home to so many coffee shops ☕️ which are great spots to take a break from walking around. I also recommend checking out Hu Qing Tang, the biggest TCM pharmacy established since 1987 🫚

Tthe No.1 Well of Hangzhou faces east and is "concave" shaped in general layout .In the middle part of the patio, there are five well openings with a boundary tablet that reads"Ancient Big Well Boundary Wall" The Big Well was excavated by De Shao, the national teacher of Wu and Yue in Five Dynasties period. The original well was four Zhang (about 13 m) in circumference with no cover and was named "No.1 Spring in Wu Hill .During Shaoxing period in Southern Song Dynasty, as people frequently fell into the well and drowned, Grand Commandant Dong Dezhi covered the well with a big stone slate, leaving six openings. In the 7th year of Chunyou reign in Southern Song Dynasty, Hangzhou experienced a great drought and the well was the only one in the city that did not dry up. During Hongzhi period in Ming Dynasty, it was reduced to five openings. For over a thousand years, it remained undried and has nurtured and benefited the local people. It was an important witness of water conservation and transformation of nature by ancient people in Hangzhou.ature by ancient people in Hangzhou.

Discover Old Hangzhou at this Ancient Street
Qinghefang Old Street (清河坊) is a good place for experiencing the life of Old Hangzhou, because it is the epitome of historic Hangzhou. It is a place for shopping, eating, and sightseeing.
You can see well-preserved old buildings, explore interesting stores, and buy some souvenirs. In peak season, however, it’s likely to be very crowded. It’s just east of West Lake, about 10 minutes' walk. This treet has been the most flourished street in the city since the ancient time. During the Southern Song Dynasty (1127 - 1279 AD), Qinghefang with lots of shops, restaurants and teahouses was the center of politics, culture and commerce in the city. After so many years, it is still a prosperous business area. Many famous century-old shops are located in this ancient street, such as Wangxingji Fan Store, Zhangxiaoquan Scissors, Wanlong Ham Stack, Huqingyutang Pharmacy, Baohetang Pharmacy, Zhuangyuan House, Wangruixing, Yiyuanjindian, Jingyangguan and Sheep Soup Restaurant among others.

If you want to do some more hiking, on the other side of the street is a big park with temples.

The deep courtyard of Hangzhou's Qinghefang Ancient Street
It's better to visit here at night, where the perfect combination of modernity and antiquity is unlike any other ancient street. Here, clear rivers flow, modern shops, tea houses, and bars stand in harmony with the ancient and weathered historical buildings. There are also mini concerts in the church square, where the pop songs of the youth and the violin performances in the alleys create a unique scene in Hangzhou!

Nine Considerate Tips for Traveling to Hangzhou During the May Day Holiday – Save this list!
1️⃣ During the May Day holiday, avoid visiting the West Lake area during the day as it's extremely crowded. It's recommended to go early in the morning when there are fewer people and the morning light is soft, which is great for photography. During the day, you can visit the areas around West Lake, such as Nine Creeks in Misty Forest, Yunqi Bamboo Pathway, and Longjing Tea Village. The scenery deeper in West Lake is more beautiful, the paths are quiet, it's not crowded, and you can listen to the sound of springs and the chirping of birds and cicadas, gaze at the vast tea plantations, savor the fragrance of Longjing tea, and enjoy a lovely time walking or cycling.
2️⃣ You can take a bus directly to Nine Creeks in Misty Forest and start hiking up the mountain. Take the bus down from Longjing Village, or you can walk all the way up, which takes about four to five hours round trip. We once rode bikes from Leifeng Pagoda all the way up, and halfway, we had to push our bikes for a bit. Going downhill was like lightning with continuous braking, and it only took 20 minutes to get back to Leifeng Pagoda, haha.
3️⃣ If it's a sunny day, don't miss the sunset over West Lake; it's incredibly beautiful. The tourist boats and painted boats on the lake are dyed red by the sunset, resembling an oil painting. You can bargain for the price of a manually rowed boat, and in the evening, you can cut the price in half, which is much cheaper than in the morning.
4️⃣ For internet-famous streets like Hefang Street, it's best to casually stroll around in the evening or early morning. It's not a big deal if you don't go, as it's commercialized and crowded, making it less comfortable to visit. Instead, I recommend visiting old streets like Wuliu Lane, Chengtou Lane, Dama Lane, and Shiwuku Lane to see Hangzhou's old buildings, full of local life and authentic local snacks, which are especially wonderful.
5️⃣ The scallion pancakes in Dama Lane cost five yuan each, which is much more authentic than the internet-famous ones that cost ten or twenty yuan. The Bao Mei pastries in Chengtou Lane, Pian Er Chuan, water-fried buns, wontons, and tofu pudding from time-honored brands cost only a few yuan and are delicious. Su Qin's home-cooked dishes like white-cut chicken and braised bamboo shoots are authentic Hangzhou cuisine, and you can get several dishes for just a few dozen yuan, which is tasty and a great value. The green dumplings, osmanthus cakes, and zongzi in Shiwuku Lane are so good that they make my mouth water just thinking about them.
6️⃣ As for accommodation, it depends on your budget. If you're looking for something nicer, you can stay near West Lake at places like Dahua or Xinxin. If you want to visit Lingyin Temple, you can stay nearby. In the city center, I recommend Zancheng Hotel, an old brand, which is convenient for eating, playing, and taking public transport. Additionally, Hupao is a great location for a holiday, quiet and elegant, with an excellent surrounding environment, suitable for friends who like peace and quiet.
7️⃣ When visiting Hangzhou during the holiday, especially if it's your first time, don't go to the internet-famous shops. You won't get the essence of Hangzhou's cuisine, which is all in the residential areas. Just wander around the residential areas, and you can't go wrong with inconspicuous shops with many locals sitting inside. There are no price traps, so go ahead and eat boldly. For a big meal, you can choose famous time-honored brands like Ziyi Hall, Jinsha Hall of Four Seasons, Xin Rong Ji, or more ordinary places like Xin Bailu and Grandma's Home.
8️⃣ Hangzhou's pastries are also very good, suitable for personal enjoyment or as gifts for friends and family. Zhi Wei Guan, Cai Zhi Zhai, and Nan Song Hu Ji are all good choices, with a wide variety, and quality assurance. I've bought from them many times and have rarely been disappointed.
9️⃣ A special reminder for those coming to Hangzhou during May Day: do not drive to the scenic spots. Do not drive, do not drive, as parking is very hard to find. By the time you find a parking spot, it might be two hours later. It's recommended to take a taxi or the subway. You can drive in the suburbs, but it's highly discouraged to drive to urban scenic spots.

A Captivating Blend of Tradition and Tourism
Stepping into QingHefang Street felt like journeying back in time amidst a modern tourist hub. The street bustled with visitors, creating a vibrant yet slightly robotistic atmosphere. While the food options left something to be desired, with dishes like Beggar Chicken coming out too dry for our tastes, the experience was salvaged by the picturesque surroundings, making it an ideal spot for snapping memorable photos. Despite the culinary letdown, QingHefang Street’s charm lies in its fusion of ancient allure and contemporary appeal, offering a unique glimpse into Hangzhou’s cultural heritage.

'Jiangnan Copper House' - Master Zhu Bingren's Copper Melting Art
It must be admitted: Mr. Zhu Bingren is indeed a master artist! He invented the art of melting copper, transforming this hard metal material into a soft artistic touch in his hands. Whether it's the freehand ink landscape, the meticulous painting of flowers and birds, or even the finely crafted palace halls, all are recreated with melted copper, which is truly breathtaking!

🎈Enjoy a visit to Qinghefang Street and experience the charm of old Hangzhou!🎉
Dear all, I recently visited Qinghefang Street in Hangzhou, and it was absolutely stunning!😍 Not only are there ancient buildings, but also various delicacies and stalls, which are unforgettable.🌟
As soon as I entered Qinghefang Street, I was attracted by the retro atmosphere here.🏮 The buildings on both sides of the street are all in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, as if I had traveled back to ancient times.🕰️ Here, I tasted many Hangzhou specialties, such as sugar roasted buns, stinky tofu, and West Lake vinegar fish, which tasted really great!😋
In addition to food, Qinghefang Street also has many interesting shops and stalls.🎁 I bought some special handicrafts here, and also tried some traditional crafts, such as paper cutting and clay sculpture.🎨 These activities made me understand more about Hangzhou's traditional culture.🖋️
Dear all, have you been to Qinghefang Street?🤔 If you have the chance, be sure to come here to experience the charm of old Hangzhou!👍 Finally, I took many beautiful photos in Qinghefang Street. If you like them, you can follow me!😉 Street Tourism Hangzhou Style Architecture Paradise

Finally, I understand why it's love at first sight
Gem Mountain → Hefang Street → Wushan Square → Night tour of Qiantang River (Qianyin number) → On the way to Feilaifeng → Lingshun Temple → Lingyin Temple → Dama Lane → Wulin Night Market → Night tour of West Lake (Broken Bridge Remnant Snow) → Southern Song Imperial Street → West Lake (towards Leifeng Tower) → Leifeng Tower (overlooking West Lake)
Perhaps it's not the optimal route, maybe there are better places that have been missed, but the meaning of travel is to get to know oneself over and over again in different places. It's better to chase the wind than to wait for it, always passionate, always looking forward ~

Hangzhou's most famous food street is located in Hefang Street Scenic Area. From Wushan Square, you can go directly to the North Gate. Once you enter the scenic spot, you find that the shops here are in quantity or kind in Hangzhou. It is all relatively dense. From fashionable mechanical toys to antique artifacts, it is all-encompassing.
After the reconstruction, Hefang Street showed the style of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, maintaining the authenticity of its history, the continuity of culture and the integrity of the style. Hefang Street is one of the streets that can best reflect the historical and cultural features of Hangzhou. Its restoration and transformation reproduces the historical context of Hangzhou, leaving a valuable historical and cultural heritage for Hangzhou, and spending a night here to experience it.

Hunchun Day is flourishing, passing through Zhongshan South Road in the afternoon, the mottled light and shadow are transmitted through the shade of the trees... The Huimin Road turns around and folds the first day of Guangfu Road No. 21 - a building embedded in the market Nostalgic old house.
, the old stone monument is Taiwan, the tea is waiting.
, Jiudian Hongmei, Mung bean cake, pumpkin seeds, Chuhe Dafu... A house laughs.
Unconsciously, the twilight city.
The restaurant has prepared tea meals: crab yellow pumpkin, Fuyang lamb, crab powder tofu, stinky tofu, Donghai prawns, pepper red wine, beef tongue, 16 hours low temperature slow boiled beef chops, Korean chicken fried rice ... The distance from the kitchen to the dining table is very close, the food is just kept at the temperature, and the carefully selected ingredients, seemingly simple, give the memories and tastes that the tongue wants!
lucklily.
Qinghefang Pedestrian Street is located in Wushan Square to Zhongshan Middle Road. It is the only place where the old district is relatively intact and can best reflect the historical and cultural features of Hangzhou.
Qinghefang is the prosperous area of Hangzhou since ancient times. It is east of Xingong Bridge in Hefang Street. It is the ruins of the Song Dynasty Emperor Gaozong Palace in the Southern Song Dynasty. During the Southern Song Dynasty, the shops of Qinghefang and the teahouses of the restaurants were row upon row. It is the city of Hangzhou. Political and cultural centers and merchants gathered in the area, many centuries-old stores are concentrated in this area: Kong Fengchunxiang powder shop, Dachangchang dry tobacco shop, Wanlong South meat ham shop, Tianxiangzhai tea candy store, Zhang Yunsheng department store, Fang Yu and north and south The goods store, Qianlong Shengcha, etc. are famous old brands.
In October 2002, after renovation and restoration, Qinghefang Pedestrian Street officially opened, and the 460-meter-long pedestrian street condensed the style of the city during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has become a place where Hangzhou people come often and foreigners must arrive. Here I feel the biggest difference with other places on the pedestrian street. One is antique, both sides are antique buildings, and the other is there are many booths for making various kinds of crafts on the spot. I have not seen these crafts in other places. This is A major feature.

Come to Hangzhou for eight years, every time you go to West Lake, there are many times, this month is more frequent, it is estimated that 5 days a week is around Fengqi Road, watching all kinds of food Beautiful scenery and writing articles let more Hangzhou tourists know how to play.
Hefang Street is located at the foot of Wushan Mountain and is part of Qinghe Square, belonging to the old city of Hangzhou. From Jiangcheng Road in the east, you will find Jianguo South Road, Zhonghe Middle Road, Zhongshan Middle Road, Huaguang Road and Labor Road to Nanshan Road to the north of Vietnam.
Wushan Square to Zhongshan Middle Road is a pedestrian street, blue stone pavement, road width 13 meters, the remaining road width is 32 meters. The middle and the two sides of the food, let you go on the road can not stop the desire to shop and eat the mouth of the goods, a street down and basically do not eat.
