Quanzhou Fuwen Temple is located on the bank of Baiyuanchuan Pool. It was originally built in the late Yuan Dynasty in the Tang Dynasty and is close to the famous Buddhist temple Kaiyuan Temple.
In the earliest days, the Quanzhou Fuwen Temple was not at its current location. The Fuwenmiao complex now seen was built in the middle of the tenth century, that is, the Northern Song Dynasty Taiping Xingguo.
The Temple of Confucius is covered with beams and plaques, and the middle is the statue of Confucius. The two plaques of the recent statues are written on the book "Wanshi Shibiao" and "Daoqi Datong". The former is better understood, the latter is slightly embarrassed, to me. The shallow understanding is that the Confucian thoughts are in harmony with the ancient ideal society. This ideal society has many delusions of Confucian scholars in Qin and Han. The main character of the Temple of the Temple of the Temple of Literature is black and blue, and the book is "Nothing for the People." This sentence is a simple point to understand that there is no one who can surpass Confucius in all aspects. It is the ability of Confucius to achieve excellence. Education.
Quanzhou is located in the subtropical zone. There is no cold in winter, the plants are evergreen, and the Fuwen Temple is also full of lust and green. There are no green grass flowers here, and some trees are old.
Many people may not know that Quanzhou Fuwen Temple is the largest collection of Confucian temples in southeastern China. It is a collection of architectural art of the four dynasties of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.
WUXIPENG.
The Quanzhou Fuwen Temple is located in the city center. Since its completion, it has symbolized the highest hall of Quanzhou's education and culture. A large number of outstanding figures such as Zeng Gongliang, Su Shi, Li Wei, Cai Qing, Yu Dazhao and Zheng Chenggong emerged. Now, before the start of the spring and autumn every year, the Fuwen Temple will hold the new school year Bai Confucius Send Red Eggs for three consecutive days. Every summer, the square often has drama and Nanyin special performances. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, poets and other literary enthusiasts gathered together to enjoy the moon and enjoy the taste of the moon.

So far, my favorite city has appeared!!!
As the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road and a World Cultural Heritage site, Quanzhou is a place you must visit at least once in your lifetime! Here, there is a temple every five hundred meters, with half the city bustling with life and the other half like a fairyland, serving as the earthly offices of the gods.

Quanzhou Journey
The Cercis chinensis flowers have bloomed for how many springs
How many years have the East and West Pagodas faced each other
How many people have crossed the Luoyang Bridge
How many ships have sailed out of Quanzhou Bay
Quanzhou, also known as Licheng, got its name because the ancient city is shaped like a carp. It is also called the Cercis City because cercis trees were once planted throughout the city. The bell tower to the east of West Street is a landmark of Quanzhou, standing 13.8 meters tall, designed by a British-educated designer, facing the East and West Pagodas from afar.
1. The Temple of Literature, also known as the Confucius Temple or Fuzi Temple, is a temple building commemorating and offering sacrifices to Confucius. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, there were more than 2,000 such temples across the country. By the Ming and Qing dynasties, every provincial capital, prefecture, and county seat had a Temple of Literature.
2. Guandi Temple. The largest existing martial temple in Fujian Province. Initially, the temple was mainly dedicated to Guan Yu, but in the third year of the Republic of China, Yue Fei was also enshrined in the temple. It is one of the famous historical and cultural landmarks of Quanzhou and is also one of the rare temples in the country that worships both Guan Yu and Yue Fei in the same temple.
3. Qingyuan Mountain. One of the eighteen scenic spots of Quanzhou, the area is beautiful with picturesque lakes and mountains, and its tranquility is incomparable.
Walking through Quanzhou, the city is filled with the red of Southern Fujian, with dark red ancient houses, romantic swallowtail roof ridges, and the mottled history written on the eaves and alleys. It is also a city blessed by the gods, where people walk through the mundane world every day with faith and love.
Half the city is mundane, half is divine; this is a land of divine revelry. Here, gods and humans coexist, and the gods are boisterous.

The Quanzhou Confucian Temple, a millennium-old ancient architecture that tops Southeast China
◆ The Quanzhou Prefecture Confucian Temple is one of the 22 World Heritage sites in Quanzhou, Fujian. Compared to other regional Confucian temples of the same level, the Quanzhou Prefecture Confucian Temple ranks first in architectural scale among the 'Confucian Temples of the Seven Provinces in Southeast China'.
◆ The Quanzhou Confucian Temple was built during the Tang Dynasty, with its main layout formed in 1137. It covers an area of over 5,000 square meters and is the largest existing Confucian temple complex in Southeast China, incorporating architectural styles from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The overall architecture faces south with the main buildings aligned along the central north-south axis, preserving the stone foundations and platforms from the Song Dynasty, while the wooden components were reconstructed in the Qing Dynasty according to the original appearance.
◆ The main building, the Dacheng Hall, is a typical Song Dynasty double-eave hip-roof structure, supported by 48 white round stone pillars. The front eaves of the hall feature two relief-carved dragon golden pillars and six relief-carved dragon eave pillars, with the roof covered in yellow glazed tiles... This style represents the highest architectural standard in ancient China and is rare among Confucian temples nationwide, fully reflecting the cultural prosperity and special political status Quanzhou gained from overseas trade during the Song and Yuan dynasties.
◆ The interior decoration of the Dacheng Hall is also extremely luxurious. Looking up, one can see the dougong (bracket set) and lifting beam wooden structure, with plaques hanging from the beams inscribed with the calligraphy of Emperor Kangxi's 'Exemplar of Teachers for All Ages', Emperor Qianlong's 'Unborn People', Emperor Jiaqing's 'Great Achievement of the Holy Collection', as well as plaques from the Qing Dynasty emperors Xianfeng, Tongzhi, and Guangxu, indicating a very high standard. On both sides, there are Confucian musical instruments, dance instruments, and ritual vessels.
◆ The Quanzhou Prefecture Confucian Temple is also a grand ancient architectural complex. On the west side, there is the Confucian sacrificial building group (including the Lingxing Gate ruins, Dacheng Gate, Pan Pool, Pan Palace, Dacheng Hall, etc.), and on the east side, there is the provincial-level local educational building group (including the Yuying Gate, Xue Pool, Minglun Hall, etc.), with historical figures from Quanzhou since the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped in the Cai Qing Temple, Li Wenjie Temple, and Zhuang Jichang Top Scholar Temple.
◆ The exterior of the Quanzhou Prefecture Confucian Temple is characterized by red tile sloping roofs, dragon ridges, swallowtails, brick walls, and whitewashed walls, reflecting the organic combination of Central Plains culture from the Song Dynasty and the ancient Minnan architectural art.

Travel Plog | City of the Gods
| City of the Gods..
I've been eating, eating, and snapping photos nonstop with Bao since we arrived in Quanzhou. We tried the local delicacies recommended by friends from Quanzhou, which were super satisfying, very affordable, and delicious! (I feel like I've become half a Quanzhou local, special thanks to General Hong and General Wei for their strong support) The area centered around the Kaiyuan Temple/Clock Tower in Quanzhou was our main playground. We traveled off-peak, so it wasn't too crowded. Whether visiting attractions or eating, we didn't have to wait long, and the experience was very good. Personally, I felt that the most crowded places were near the Wen Temple and Guan Yue Temple, where it was a bit congested, but not chaotic. I can't help but exclaim: "Lord Guan, your popularity is truly booming!"
Quanzhou offers the option to ride small orange electric bikes, which makes getting around very convenient, except for being a bit pricey. Additionally, some streets are blocked off to motor vehicles, so you can opt for the small white buses that really do stop on a wave, very convenient, and the big buses are surprisingly cheap, only 1 yuan per ride.
We stayed in Quanzhou for two days, and the weather was unpredictable, but it didn't affect our travel, and it was still acceptable. We didn't visit Guipu Zan Hua, but those interested really should try it out; it would probably be very photogenic if the weather is good, haha. It's worth mentioning that we also checked in at many interesting niche photo spots. Seeing Quanzhou from different angles is truly beautiful.

Spring Festival Trip to Quanzhou and Zhangzhou - Quanzhou (Part One)
February 15th, high-speed train from 9:12 to 10:00, from Zhangzhou Station to Quanzhou Station, the driver was already waiting for us in the underground parking lot of Quanzhou Station, and we smoothly checked into the Quanzhou Yuehua Hotel.
After a short rest at the hotel, we were ready to go out and stroll around the ancient city of Quanzhou. The hotel is about 2.5 kilometers away from the old city, so we took a taxi to the Wen Temple and started our tour from there.
Our citywalk route: Wen Temple ~ Goldfish Alley ~ Guan Gong Ancient Flavor Restaurant for lunch ~ Hao Gou Qian ~ Flower Alley ~ Zhongshan Middle Road ~ Bell Tower ~ West Street ~ Tai Kui Alley ~ West Gate of Kaiyuan Temple ~ Back to West Street ~ Xiangfeng Alley ~ Tourist Center rooftop to take pictures of the twin towers ~ Youli Tiantai Coffee Bar ~ Quanzhou Cinema East Sea Poster Wall ~ Zhongshan Middle Road ~ Dinner at Tumen Beef East, the beef rice is super delicious.
Quanzhou is the most suitable city for Citywalk I have ever visited. The Minnan ancient houses that can be seen in the streets and alleys really have a unique charm. I personally like to explore a city in the way of Citywalk, using my eyes or camera to record some different surprising moments.
⭐Wen Temple: Quanzhou Wen Temple is one of the largest Confucian temples along the southeast coast. The architecture includes the styles of the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, as well as the Minnan characteristics of stone-to-brick, sloped roofs, swallowtail ridges, etc.,
⭐Goldfish Alley: A very narrow alley with many trendy young shops, where you can see fish patterns everywhere, such as carps leaping over the dragon gate, etc.,
⭐Flower Alley: At night, the whole street is lit with horse lanterns, standing among the crowd gives a sense of time travel, and the entrance to Flower Alley is full of fresh flowers,
⭐Zhongshan Middle Road: The more than 2 kilometers long Zhongshan Road in Quanzhou is a model of Sino-Western commercial street architecture and is also the most completely preserved arcade building complex in the country. At the end of Zhongshan Middle Road is the Bell Tower, where the white bell tower and the bustling street scene complement each other,
⭐West Street: A great street to stroll, with various snacks and intangible cultural heritage projects like hairpin flower making to experience. It's super crowded during the Spring Festival,
⭐Xiangfeng Alley: An alley where you can take pictures of the west tower of Kaiyuan Temple. In the middle of the deep alley, you can see the tower body,
⭐Kaiyuan Temple: The largest Buddhist building in Fujian, with east and west towers on each side, one of the 22 ancient sites that were successfully included in Quanzhou's World Heritage application,
📷Recommended photo spots
⭐The hottest photo spot with the 'Quanzhou' sign and the twin towers, which can be shot from the rooftop of Ruibai Cloud Hotel (Quanzhou Bell Tower West Street Store), but it's not accessible now, only open to hotel guests (Picture 2)
⭐A super large 'Quanzhou' poster, located on the east wall of Quanzhou Cinema next to the Bell Tower (Picture 1)
⭐The rooftop of West Street Tourist Center, where you can overlook West Street (Picture 3), is also the best spot for shooting the twin towers,
⭐Xiangfeng Alley, the old scenery with fireworks and the thousand-year-old tower, is very feel-good for taking cultural photos (Picture 4).
Tips:
1. Before going to Quanzhou, it is recommended to watch the documentary 'Return to Cìtóng City' first, which has three episodes, each about 40 minutes, to get an understanding of the origin and cultural history of Quanzhou,
2. The main street of West Street is super crowded, it is recommended to go into the alleys, which are characteristic and quiet. It is recommended to download the app 'Xiaoyuzhou' and search for 'Going to Quanzhou', which has detailed explanations of the alleys.

If you can't ride, you can also choose the unique bus in the old city area, 'Little White Appointment' through the WeChat mini-program. Just search, 2 yuan per person! Just enter the destination, place the order, and the driver will automatically contact you.

Quanzhou Prefecture Confucian Temple
Quanzhou Prefecture Confucian Temple, also known as the Prefectural School, is located by the Baiyuan River in Licheng District, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, and is a key national cultural heritage site. It was originally built at the end of the Tang Dynasty's Kaiyuan era, and was relocated to its current site at the beginning of the Northern Song Dynasty's Taiping Xingguo period (976-981 AD). The Confucian Temple of Quanzhou Prefecture has a long history, a grand scale, and magnificent halls. It is a Confucian temple complex that incorporates architectural styles from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, making it the largest Confucian temple complex in the southeastern region, with a unique architectural style among the existing Confucian temples in China. Inside the temple, there are the 'Quanzhou Prefecture Confucian Temple Cultural Relics Exhibition Hall,' the 'Quanzhou Historical Celebrities Memorial Hall,' and the 'Quanzhou Ancient Education Exhibition Hall.'
As a center for the dissemination of Confucianism, the Confucian Temple and Academy of Quanzhou were symbols of the Quanzhou elite, including government officials and senior intellectuals. These social elites played a significant role in the promotion and management of maritime trade during the Song and Yuan dynasties. Every year on September 28th, the Quanzhou Prefecture Confucian Temple holds the highest standard 'Sacrificial Ceremony' to worship Confucius. During traditional Chinese festivals such as the Spring Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival, ceremonies such as coming-of-age, paying respect to teachers, and graduation are held, ensuring the good transmission and continuation of Confucian culture.
Those interested are welcome to visit.

The only special thing is the background bricks into the stone wall.
All the way through the large and small areas of the Temple of Literature,
found that the most temples are bricks into the stone, a large piece.
The so-called "bricking into the stone" is a special wall-building method in Quanzhou.
A variety of stone and red bricks and rubble are stacked in a staggered stack.
Large granite is into the stone, the piece of red brick is out of the brick,
large piece of brick into the stone wall, the overall square is thick and thick, very powerful.
There are many versions of the legend about bricks.
For example, after the invasion of the Ming Dynasty, our houses collapsed,
can only be rebuilt, people directly take materials from the ruins,
use these bricks, stones, brick fragments to rebuild Wall.
There is also a saying that Quanzhou experienced the devastating earthquake of the Song Dynasty at that time.
Many houses have fallen. Of course, our towers are still standing,
people also set off the ruins at that time. Bricks into the stone wall.
Of course, the most reliable statement is built for good looks!
But I think the best thing to look at is the two of us, hehe.
