Quanzhou, Fujian: Half City of Fireworks, Half City of Immortals
Visiting Quanzhou for the first time feels like coming home. The city is filled with various temples, thriving incense offerings, and devout believers coming and going daily, giving a strong sense of familiarity ❤️
In the so-called 'Nation of Gods and Buddhas,' Quanzhou, you must visit the famous Kaiyuan Temple. Many might notice that there are several Kaiyuan Temples across mainland China. This is true, as many temples with the same name were built nationwide during the Tang Xuanzong era due to his reign title.
Besides the towering five-story pagoda, the courtyard also features a nearly thousand-year-old banyan tree that has grown into a towering giant 🌳. Stepping into the temple, you can immediately feel the weight of history and a sense of peace and tranquility.
Following the signs to explore the temple inside and out takes about an hour. If interested, you can also offer incense to the gods and Buddhas. Highly recommended 👍

A guide to the culturally rich ancient city of Quanzhou, where historic sites and attractions are concentrated
The ancient city of Quanzhou is not large, and it is home to historic sites such as Kaiyuan Temple, Confucius Temple, Guanyue Temple, and Qingjing Mosque. It is recommended to go to Guanyue Temple first, walk northwest along Tumen Street, and you can visit Qingjing Mosque and Confucius Temple not far away. Pass through the Confucius Temple, walk north along Zhongshan Road, to the crossroad of West Street, walk west from the intersection, and you can reach Kaiyuan Temple not far away. Qingyuan Mountain is also worth climbing, but it's a bit far, you can take a taxi to Laojun Rock.
The above-mentioned ancient sites in the ancient city can be finished in half a day; Qingyuan Mountain is very large, with a full-length hiking trail, clear signs on the mountain, you can arrange it yourself according to time and physical strength.
Impression: More than 700 years ago, Quanzhou was a world trade center, concentrating various major religious cultures at that time.
1. Guanyue Temple is very popular;
2. Qingjing Mosque is a very old mosque;
3. Some Nestorian sites can be seen, Nestorianism is a branch of Christianity;
4. Zhongshan Road is a commercial street, not wide, with arcades on both sides, convenient for pedestrians;
5. The stone carvings of the Heavenly Kings on the tower of Kaiyuan Temple are very exquisite;
6. The huge statue of Laozi at the entrance of Qingyuan Mountain, carved from natural stone mountain, the deep eyes see through time and space;
7. The view from the top of Qingyuan Mountain is good, there are many cliff carvings, and there is a pagoda of the high monk Hongyi on the mountain.

Fujian's largest Buddhist temple, home to China's tallest twin stone towers, is located in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, at Kaiyuan Temple
✅【Life】
"In this small town where I live, everyone firmly believes that there are gods three feet above their heads, and they also believe in spirits. People live closely with ghosts and gods..." This is how writer Cai Chongda describes the attitude of Quanzhou people towards gods in his book 'Skin'.
🚩【Folklore】
In the daily life of Quanzhou people, the folklore of "respecting heaven and earth and fearing ghosts and gods" is vividly preserved. Here, there is a temple every five steps and a temple every ten steps. It is a "city of all gods" that integrates various beliefs such as Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, Manichaeism, and Hinduism.
📍【Check-in】
Kaiyuan Temple, located on West Street in Licheng District, Quanzhou, can be said to be one of the most representative places of Quanzhou's earthly and immortal atmosphere. Many people even list visiting Kaiyuan Temple as a must-do when traveling to Quanzhou.
📖【History】
It was first built in the second year of the Tang Dynasty, and has a history of more than 1300 years. It is the largest Buddhist temple in Fujian and a national key cultural relics protection unit. As a major part of "Quanzhou: The World Maritime Trade Center of Song and Yuan China", it has been included in the "World Cultural Heritage List".
➡️【What you see】
The Kaiyuan Temple we see now, its main temples were mostly built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was originally called "Lotus Temple" because of the allusion of "Mulberry Opening White Lotus". Later, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty ordered the construction of temples throughout the country to show the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty, and they were all named after the year, hence the name "Kaiyuan Temple".
📍【Scale】
The temple covers nearly 120 acres and consists of a series of buildings such as the main building group in the middle road and the east and west stone towers. Not only is it high in regulation, majestic, and cleverly constructed, but it is also more splendid and brightly lit when you look closely.
Especially the Zhenguo Tower and Renshou Tower, which are arranged in a "品" shape with the Daxiong Hall, not only stand tall for thousands of years, but are also the highest pair of stone towers in our country. Their meticulous and precise stacking methods and the exquisite relief carvings on the tower body are all shocking and are undoubtedly national treasures.
🚩【Achievements】
In addition, there are wooden couplets personally written by Zhu Xi, the Ganlu Jietan, which is known as one of the three major Jietan in China along with Beijing Jietai Temple and Hangzhou Zhaoqing Temple, and the Sutra Pavilion with a rich collection of historical materials, etc., are all must-see check-in points at Kaiyuan Temple.
Of course, in addition to the magnificent and exquisite architecture and the long and diverse culture of Kaiyuan Temple, its classical, elegant, quiet and deep environmental atmosphere is also a reason why many people prefer it.

Quanzhou for architecture & culture lovers !
Vibrant city to enjoy for at least 2 days for culture, architecture and food.
Few worth it half-day trips around doable by didi.
Active by day and night !
Visit the temple of the Queen of heaven in the morning then hang out around and through its southern streets during market time. Go back after sunset for a busy and messy atmosphere.
Go to Kaiyuan temple in the afternoon and hang out on Xi jie, have tea and watch the sunset from one of the rooftop. Favorite one Baishui Haoxi, a nice-edgy renovated Republic of China building (around 1930).
Get lost in the small streets and you will see small family temples built at every other corner.
Other great temples, Confucian temple, Chengtian temple, Tonghuai temple, to see both by day and pass by by night.
Stay at the Dongmian inn nearby the Chengtian temple, great host and ideal location.
A half-day trip to Xunpucun is easy by didi, this village has old houses with walls built out of oysters shell, unique.
Good destination for seafood and fish. A must try is also the ginger duck, a stewed duck long-cooked in iron pot with tones of ginger.

Explore Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou and unlock the oriental charm of Black Myth: Wukong.
The East and West Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple in Quanzhou are an important scene in Black Myth: Wukong. The game presents the pagodas in great detail, highly restoring their appearance and details.
❤Recommended for:
Kaiyuan Temple was built in the second year of the Chuigong era of the Tang Dynasty and has a history of more than 1300 years.
The East and West Pagodas of Quanzhou, also known as the Zhenguo Pagoda and the Renshou Pagoda, are the tallest and largest pair of stone pagodas in China. With their scientific design, exquisite craftsmanship, exquisite stone carvings, and richly carved stories, they have always been regarded as unparalleled and dazzling treasures in the history of stone pagoda architecture in China.
The Zhenguo Pagoda was built in the sixth year of the Xiantong era of the Tang Dynasty, and the Renshou Pagoda was built in the second year of the Zhenming era of the Five Dynasties. The East and West Pagodas have withstood wind and rain, and earthquakes, and still stand tall, showing the high achievements of Quanzhou's stone architecture and stone carving art in the Song Dynasty.
🌟Highlights:
The "Monkey Walker" relief on the fourth floor of the West Pagoda has a pointed mouth and bulging cheeks, wears a golden hoop, and holds a big machete, which is quite similar to the image of Sun Wukong in "Journey to the West". Some people believe that this relief may be the earliest artistic image of Sun Wukong, and may even be its prototype.

A Little Record of a Person | Quanzhou Trip
ℹ️ A Little Record of a Person📝 | Quanzhou Trip✅
Quanzhou is a very inclusive city. Many cultures and beliefs have been integrated into this city without any disharmony. There are also various European-style buildings and Chinese-style buildings that complement each other. No wonder Mo Yan said, "Three religions and nine streams gather in Quanzhou, a cultural ancient city that will last forever."
Quanzhou's food also won my heart, such as water balls, beef, noodle paste, ginger duck... endless to say and eat
But what impressed me the most was the "banyan tree🌳". The first time I saw the banyan tree in Kaiyuan Temple, I was deeply attracted. Seeing it on a hot afternoon made me feel at ease. At that time, I really wanted to sit alone under the banyan tree in a heavy rain and enjoy the tranquility (this is probably the strange brain circuit of infp)
Quanzhou, I will definitely go again next time (I haven't been to the most beautiful coastline yet

Follow Wukong to Quanzhou | Find the Monkey King at Kaiyuan Temple~.
| Find the Monkey King at Kaiyuan Temple~.
Quanzhou is already very popular, but with the global popularity of "Black Myth: Wukong", Quanzhou has become even more popular!
In the game, Kaiyuan Temple is on fire🔥; in fact, in history, Kaiyuan Temple was also destroyed twice in the Southern Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty.
🐒I don't know if Wukong and his disciples passed by Kaiyuan Temple on their journey to the west; but in Kaiyuan Temple, there is indeed a Monkey King. Haha, I found it too! Let's go to Kaiyuan Temple with me~
🔴Kaiyuan Temple Highlights:
🔸Couplet
"This place is known as the Buddha country, and the streets are full of saints." Every Quanzhou person knows this couplet in the Heavenly King Hall of Kaiyuan Temple, written by Zhu Xi and written by Master Hongyi.
🔸East and West Towers
The East and West Towers are definitely the business card of Kaiyuan Temple, namely the Zhen Guo Tower in the east and the Ren Shou Tower in the west, which are original objects of the Song Dynasty; they still stand tall after the 1604 Quanzhou earthquake.
🔸Thousand-year-old Mulberry Lotus
On the west side of the Daxiong Hall, there is a 1300-year-old mulberry tree, which was once struck by lightning into 3 trees, but still survives to this day.
🔸Relief Stone
There is a stone carving of the word "heart" on the side of the base of the West Tower, but the writing is quite unique, with the point in the heart at the bottom, implying "lift up all kinds of troubles and put down all things empty"
🔸Monkey King Stone Carving
On the body of the West Tower, there are more than 80 stone carvings, all of which are Buddhist figures. Among them, one is not a saint, but a Monkey King, a stone carving of the Monkey King "Hanuman". You might as well go and find it, and see if it looks like Wukong.
👍🏻Kaiyuan Temple now has the most flower-wearing girls, and I believe that many foreign tourists will come here soon. "Black Myth: Wukong" is a very successful cultural output!

Kaiyuan Temple, the same temple as in the game Black Myth: Wukong.
Kaiyuan Temple is a landmark building in Quanzhou and a witness to the thousand-year history of Quanzhou Ancient City. Kaiyuan Temple was built in the second year of the Tang Dynasty and covers an area of 78,000 square meters. It stands at the busiest West Street in Quanzhou Ancient City.
History
Kaiyuan Temple was built during the Tang Dynasty, and the temple was named Lotus Temple at that time. The establishment of Quanzhou City was less than a hundred years, and the construction of Kaiyuan Temple was synchronized with the development process of Quanzhou City for thousands of years.
Layout
The layout of Kaiyuan Temple is regular, and the buildings are mainly arranged along the central axis. The side halls on the east and west sides are buildings with different functions. The central layout is the mountain gate, the main hall, the Ganlu Jietan, and the Sutra Pavilion. On the east side, there are buildings such as the Tan Yue Temple, the Quanzhou Buddhist Museum, and the Zhunti Zen Temple. The west side is the Gongde Hall and the Shuilu Temple. The most important thing is a pagoda on each side of the east and west. This is a landmark building in Quanzhou. These two pagodas have been preserved since the Song Dynasty and have a long history.
Zhen Guo Pagoda
The east tower is the Zhen Guo Pagoda, which was originally built in the Tang Dynasty as a five-story wooden tower. The existing pagoda is a seven-story brick tower built during the Song Dynasty. The west is the Renshou Pagoda, which was built during the Five Dynasties. The existing architectural relics also come from the Song Dynasty. The twin towers are both octagonal frame structures, with bucket arches and flying eaves, and the base is four flat and eight stable. The stone structure of the tower is solemn and majestic.
The ending part of the 86 version of "Journey to the West" where Tang Monk's cassock was stolen was filmed in front of the main hall of Kaiyuan Temple.

Quanzhou's small town is on fire again🔥
The filming location of the game🎮 Black Myth: Wukong, Kaiyuan Temple
Kaiyuan Temple is located on West Street in Quanzhou, and it is the biggest attraction on West Street.
It is not only a national key cultural relic protection unit
but also one of Fujian Province's 'Top Ten' scenic spots
Kaiyuan Temple was previously called 'Lotus Temple'
and was later renamed 'Xingjiao Temple' and 'Longxing Temple'
In the 26th year of the Kaiyuan era of the Tang Dynasty (739 AD)
Emperor Xuanzong of Tang ordered each state to build a temple
and named it after the era name, thus renaming it Kaiyuan Temple
It is grand in scale, with magnificent structures, covering an area of 78,000 square meters
The attractions along the central axis include the Worship Pavilion, Worship Courtyard, Mahavira Hall, Sangpeng Relics, Sweet Dew Precept Altar, Sutra Library, and more.

After getting tired of walking, we rested at an old Western-style house cafe on West Street,
we were attracted from afar by the three characters 'Quanzhou Mansion' on the rooftop of this shop
The latte art featured the East and West Pagodas, and the drinks were really good
Sitting on the bamboo stools on the second floor, basking in the sun and enjoying the cool breeze
It felt like being back at grandma's house in childhood, leisurely and comfortable
The first floor has various cultural and creative souvenirs, the drip beast is very meaningful, water represents wealth
There is also a large courtyard, clear-sounding wind chimes, and a cute tabby cat
The second floor is a cafe, with Minnan-style floral tiles, ceramic teapot railings, and both indoor and outdoor designs are very retro
The third floor is the rooftop (the view is very good, you can take a photo with the East and West Pagodas, but there is a minimum spend to go up)

Don't worry about the rain in Quanzhou, see what other tourists can't see
Recently, it has been raining continuously in Quanzhou, and I have been fortunate to see a different side of the city.💧
Quanzhou in the rain seems to be shrouded in a mysterious veil. The streets and alleys are filled with a moist atmosphere, and the ancient stone roads are washed brighter by the rain.🚶♂️
Walking through the streets of Quanzhou, raindrops gently fall, hitting the umbrella and making a pleasant sound. The ancient buildings on the roadside loom in the rain and mist, as if telling a long history.🏮
When I arrived at Kaiyuan Temple, I was even more amazed by the beauty in the rain. The two stone pagodas on the east and west sides appear particularly solemn in the rain curtain, with raindrops sliding down their bodies as if baptizing them. Inside the Mahavira Hall, the incense is still burning vigorously, and people pray devoutly in the rain, the tranquility and sanctity of which are moving.🙏
Quanzhou in the rain is a poetic picture. Every scene is like a beautiful poem, intoxicating people.🌳
If you also want to experience a different Quanzhou, take a walk in the rain and discover the unique beauty of this city.💕

Return to Cí Tóng City~
Nowadays, I enjoy domestic travel more and more. This summer vacation, our family of four tried a high-speed rail trip to Quanzhou. It was punctual, comfortable, and fast, which was very much to our liking.
Before departure, we watched the documentary 'Return to Cí Tóng City'. They say to see Quanzhou in the Song and Yuan dynasties, and after experiencing it ourselves, it was indeed worth the trip!
Our family's itinerary is always relaxed. We don't follow the crowd to popular spots but focus only on what interests us. The 4-day, 3-night trip was full of relaxation.
🗓Itinerary:
First day: We took an early train and arrived in Quanzhou in the afternoon. In the afternoon, we visited Xijie to wear flower hairpins. We randomly chose a shop near the hotel. Actually, the prices for flower hairpins in Xijie are quite consistent, 40 yuan for a flower hairpin and costume. In the evening, we enjoyed a wonderful performance of 'string puppets' at the Puppet Theater. The performances of 'Drunken Concubine' and 'Monkey Training' left a deep impression.
Second day: We studied at Kaiyuan Temple. There was a lot of information. The East and West Twin Towers were originally navigation towers and also served to attract investment. We also learned that in the Song Dynasty version of Journey to the West, Sun Wukong was called Monkey Walker, and he wielded a large knife instead of the Golden Cudgel. At that time, Tang Monk rode a red horse instead of a white one. At the very charming Haichao Courtyard, the children participated in hand-made tie-dye and lacquer fan activities. We also checked in at Berry Crazy and Cí Tóng Courtyard.
Third day: We strolled along Xijie in the morning and headed to Shishi in the afternoon to start our seaside vacation.
Fourth day: We woke up naturally and enjoyed the beautiful sea view. In the afternoon, we took the high-speed rail back to Shanghai.
After returning, we felt a strong aftertaste and couldn't stop thinking about it. Quanzhou's cultural tourism is really excellent!
👍Highly recommended:
This time we stayed at a hotel in Quanzhou, which was a very wise choice for exploring the city. The surrounding attractions and food were densely packed, and most were within walking distance. We specifically chose an executive room this time, where we could overlook the old city of Quanzhou from the room, avoiding the sun and crowds. The hotel service was also very good. Breakfast included Quanzhou specialties like peanut soup and rice noodle paste, and they provided supper every night. The Minnan-style grass jelly was praised by our whole family.
In Shishi, we chose a homestay from the Juruo brand. We had a distant view of Luojia Temple and the endless sea. The homestay itself was a scenic spot.

Quanzhou | The Hidden Beauty of Rainy Days, Rare!!!
| The Hidden Beauty of Rainy Days, Rare!!! 🌧️ Coming to Quanzhou, I always look forward to encountering different sceneries. And the rainy Quanzhou is that exquisite painting hidden deep in time, rarely appreciated by tourists.
🎇 The Minnan swallowtail ridges in the reflections are the unique markers of ancient houses. Raindrops fall on the old tiles, sliding down the graceful curves of the swallowtail ridges, reflecting clear contours in the calm puddles. Amidst the ripples, it seems as if you can hear the whispers of time.
🕰️ The Quanzhou clock tower in the puddles has a unique charm with the embellishment of raindrops. Its silhouette sways in the water, appearing and disappearing, like a shy beauty.
💧 The fine rain threads from the eaves resemble a delicate bead curtain woven by nature. The rain threads form lines, continuously adding a touch of tenderness to the city.
🗼 Looking at the East and West Pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple through the glass on a rainy day, the misty water vapor blurs the vision, yet makes these ancient towers more mysteriously charming. They stand quietly in the rain, telling stories of a thousand years.
💕 In this rainy Quanzhou, every corner exudes a unique charm, waiting for someone with a keen heart to discover and feel it.

You should visit Quanzhou more often!
Go to Quanzhou!
There are mountains, seas, and ancient cities⛰️
🥤There is food, drink, and scenery
West Street, every time you go to Quanzhou, you must take a walk from the Bell Tower to Kaiyuan Temple, from the long street to the alleys.📷
The second photo spot is in the alley opposite Kaiyuan Temple.
🏠Xunpu Village, the whole village seems to be in the hairpin business. Despite the fierce competition, the prices are relatively transparent. Be sure to compare prices and ask around😄 I took my daughter to Jiali Hairpin Shop at the end of the alley opposite Kaiyuan Temple on West Street. We only got hairpins and clothes for 60💰, and took the photos ourselves.
Photos 5-9 are of Wulin Ancient Village in Jinjiang. When we went, the surrounding buildings were still under construction, but you can visit the popular buildings seen on major platforms. If you want to take photos like those in 'The Little Nyonya', this is the place!☑️
Photos 10-12 are of Luojia Temple in Shishi. During the holidays, every rock at Luojia Temple is crowded with people. Don't bother trying to take photos at popular spots, as they are all occupied! Haha👀 I suggest going to the beach on the left side facing Luojia Temple, where there are fewer people, better photo opportunities, and you can capture the entire Luojia Temple.
Photos 13-15 were taken on the way to the less crowded beach from Luojia Temple (it feels like a summer scene from a Hayao Miyazaki manga)🍃. Just follow the blue road from the exit of Luojia Temple parking lot (cars can't go, but electric bikes can). Cars take the dirt road until you reach the main road,🚗 then continue forward until you see a right turn. Turn right and go straight to see the sea (photo 15 was taken at the turn). You can drive further to the less crowded beach. Compared to Hongta Bay, this beach is fantastic🏖️, with fewer people and no one competing for spots on the rocks. You can also get a distant view of Luojia Temple.
Photos 16-17 are street scenes in Shishi and a restaurant🍴Iceland Restaurant. The menu is diverse, and the decor/food is very Hong Kong style! Many locals eat there, and there seem to be several branches. They offer delivery and seem to open at 10:30 AM.⏰
Finally, here are two food photos. Check the specific photos for details!
Wang Chuan Peanut Soup / Iceland Restaurant's Curry Fish Balls, Fried Chicken Wings, Fried Pork Chops, Melon-flavored Ice Cream, Iced Black Tea / Fu Ji A Ming Oyster Omelette / Mianxian Paste on Renmin Road in Shishi / Hong Kong-style Milk Tea / Ah Tu Taro Balls / Matsutake Bun at Green Island Hotel / Gong Niu / Ginger Duck at Jinpo in Quanzhou Food Street

Encountering the Heart's Desire: So far, my favorite city has appeared!
Quanzhou, this place is simply my favorite. Even going four times a year is not enough! Full of Minnan style, the coastline is unbelievably beautiful, the ancient city is full of life, and the food, fun, and photography are all unique. The key is that it's super friendly to budget travelers, a paradise for backpackers!
✨ Many attractions here are free to enter, offering incredible value!
Day1: Quanzhou Poster Wall → Clock Tower → Quanzhou West Street Main Street → Mei Chaofeng Rooftop → Quanzhou Xiaoxicheng → Youli Rooftop → Yuli Fengwu → Kaiyuan Temple → Xiangfeng Alley
Day2: Xunpu Village Hairpin Photography → Wulin Ancient Village Tour, Little Nyonya Photography
👍️ Must-visit attractions:
🎈 Quanzhou Poster Wall
Spot one, it's like standing on the high rooftop of the 'Ruibo Yun' hotel. In the past, ordinary people could take the elevator straight to the top, but now it's different. It's become an exclusive secret for guests, and you need a card to go up and enjoy the panoramic view of the city, which is quite impressive!
Spot two is hidden next to the Clock Tower, in a mysterious alley off Zhongshan Street. When you stand there, hey, you can just see the huge 'Quanzhou' poster and the closely packed old residential buildings, as if they are telling you the old stories of the city. This scene is warm and down-to-earth, making you feel cozy at first glance.
🎈 Chaofeng
The rooftops of Store 1 and Store 2 are actually connected, like a secret base for twins. If you want to take a panoramic view of West Street, the end of West Street is a perfect spot, with an incredibly wide view. Of course, taking a photo of the Clock Tower from the store entrance is also a good choice. The Clock Tower stands tall, exuding a sense of historical weight.
Speaking of the milk tea in this store, the taste is really top-notch, and the value for money is super high. Taking a sip is immensely satisfying. Moreover, they are very considerate, allowing you to freely go up and down to take photos, without any sense of restriction. Such a good place, you can't miss it!
🎈 Youli Rooftop Coffee
Speaking of popular spots for sunset photography on the ancient street, it's really crowded in the evening, like a market. This store has a 'threshold fee' of 20 yuan per person, but fortunately, this fee can be used as a drink voucher, which gives a bit of psychological comfort. But honestly, the experience is somewhat discounted, feeling like you're paying to suffer, waiting in line for so long just to take a photo, which is a bit not worth it. However, if you are a photography enthusiast or really love the scenery there, it might be a different story.
🎈 Quanzhou Xiaoxicheng
Bai Yansong once described Quanzhou with this sentence! It is said that this brick wall is about to be demolished, and the wishing wall next to it is very suitable for hairpin photography~
🎈 Kaiyuan Temple
West Street is a landmark building gathering place in Quanzhou. When mentioning this place, the first thing that comes to mind is the twin towers, which are a must-visit for photography. Walking on West Street, you will find many people looking for various angles just to see the twin towers and take a photo to capture this beauty.
But don't just focus on taking photos, remember to slow down and truly feel the unique, local nostalgic atmosphere of West Street. Walking on the stone-paved road, with ancient buildings on both sides, and occasionally smelling the enticing aroma of snacks, this feeling is truly intoxicating. So, when you come to West Street, not only should you take beautiful photos, but also use your heart to feel every bit of beauty here!
🎈 Yuli Fengwu
Next to Kaiyuan Temple, there is a small shop that is a treasure trove! It has all kinds of little trinkets, and I even found a fridge magnet that I absolutely love, I can't put it down. Moreover, the wooden building it is located in has a special charm, feeling like time has slowed down.
What's more interesting is that there is a very distinctive wall next door - 'Half City Smoke, Half City Immortal'. Just hearing the name makes you want to take a photo. Standing there, it feels like you've traveled back to ancient times, half filled with the smoke of human life, and half with an ethereal, immortal feeling, it's wonderful!
🎈 Clock Tower
Here, you can immediately see the iconic building - the white European-style clock tower, paired with the red brick houses next to it, it's simply stunning! Whether you come during the day or stroll in the evening, the scenery is so beautiful that you can't take your eyes off it. During the day, the sunlight shines on it, making the clock tower look particularly white and elegant, and the red brick houses even more charming; in the evening, the sunset makes the whole scene softer, adding a touch of warmth and romance. In short, this is a great place for photography!
🎈 Xiangfeng Alley
Right opposite the entrance of Kaiyuan Temple, there is a very charming little alley! Walking along this road, wow, there are so many delicious foods that it's dazzling!
Let's talk about the beef offal first, it's so fragrant that it makes your mouth water, every bite is full of happiness. And the mochi, soft, glutinous, and sweet, is so delightful to eat. The four-fruit soup is also a must-try, refreshing and cooling, sweet but not greasy, it's the best companion for summer. Not to mention the noodle soup, which warms your stomach and heart, one bite and you feel completely comfortable.
Quanzhou's food is truly satisfying! Walking in this alley, eating while strolling, is one of life's greatest pleasures!
🎈 Tourist Center Upstairs
To feel the charm of the tower up close, you need to find a good angle and shoot directly, ensuring that your photos are of blockbuster quality. Of course, taking aerial shots of the street's storefronts and cultural walls also has a unique flavor, with a sense of layering that is really rich.
What to do when you're tired of taking photos? Don't worry, there's a fantastic coffee shop here waiting for you. Order a cup of fragrant coffee, find a comfortable corner to sit down, and slowly savor it, letting your body and mind relax. Drinking coffee while enjoying the surrounding scenery, such times are simply too pleasant!
