Delicious fusion bar food
Address: Miss G's Grill & Bar, 45 Pekin St, #44, Singapore 048775
Price: $30/pp
We were looking for a place to have a quick dinner and one of my friend recommended this place. I always have doubt about bar food but this place is different.
We ordered:
1. Cold Truffle Somen with Hotate - 10/10 I was skeptical at first but one mouth is all it takes to change my mind. The dish had so many layers to it that every bite is heavenly. I highly recommend trying - the truffle taste it strong but pleasant.
2. Baja fish taco - 10/10 fish batter was light and airy and it gave a nice crunch while the meat inside is soft, tender and juicy.
3. Prawn Gyozas - 6/10 I would skip this, however my friend would recommend it. It subject to individual taste but I personally feel that it has room to elevate the gyoza - to include some texture and balance in terms of flavours.
4. The drinks here are on the pricer end.
Overall a great place to hang out with friends after work. It can get very busy quickly around 6-7pm on the friday so be sure to make a reservation or try your luck by walking in earlier.

Hawker Centre in a fancy skyscraper!
Getting There - CapitaSpring, 88 Market Street, Singapore, Level 2
You would never think that there would be a hawker centre within a skyscraper! But CapitaSpring has one - and one that has plenty of stalls! The prices of the food is very economical too. The nasi padang costed me $4.30 - something that’s super affordable at CBD!
You can find many other local eats, and after that take a walk around CapitaSpring to enjoy its beauty!
Hotels - Citadine Aparthotel is at this building too and its amazing for a staycay too!
My overall rating is 5/5 for this place!

A taste of Japan
Address: Yakitori Yatagarasu, 72 Circular Rd, #01-01, Singapore 049426
Cost: $70/pp
A small japanese style restaurant sitting along South Bridge. This is a hidden gem that always blows my guest away when I bring them here to eat.
So simple, tasty and affordable! We ordered:-
1. Highball - whiskey and soda 8/10 It was refreshing which helped with digesting the skewers we ordered!
2. Japanese Omelette- 9/10 well seasoned and wet, yet light and fluffy
3. Chicken skin - 10/10 well seasoned and crispy yet juicy
4. King Oyster Mushroom wrapped with pork belly - 10/10 soft chewy mushroom center with nice charred pork belly
5. Asparagus roll and baby corn - 10/10 never a fan of asparagus but this changed my mind! Both had a crunchy center with the juicy pork belly wrapped
6. P-man cheese - 9/10 green pepper with cheese wrapped in pork belly! Nothing gets better than that
7. A5 Waygu- 100/10 AMAZINGLY MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH. Well season and honestly this was the cherry ontop the whole meal
8. Chicken wings - 10/10 it was tender, juicy and came off the bone so easily
9. Fried noodle roll - 8/10 very interesting skewer but flavour was well balanced! Amazed at how they manage to put noodle on a skewer!
10. Chicken thigh - 10/10 it was tender and succulent
11. Chicken heart - 8/10 very fresh
The staff were all friendly so it made the experience even better.
Booking is required! They're usually fully booked so be sure to make an advance booking.

Freshly baked bread
You know how you can smell a LUSH store from faraway? Well, you also won’t miss the irresistible bread aroma wafting out of @prooferboulangerie shops🤤
One of their many outlets is super near my office, so I popped by for a takeaway lunch. They have all sorts of sweet pastries, savoury buns, and even a pizzeria right beside 🍕 While I was trying to make up my mind, I could see the baker hard at work preparing fresh bread behind the counter 👨🍳
My favourite was definitely the purple yam bun (yay I grabbed the last one 🙌🏻) It had a chewy mochi texture in the middle and still tasted delicious the next day when I had it for breakfast ☀️

Authentic Japanese Omakase Dining Experience
#mustdo #omakase #japanese #skillful #interactivedining
If you are working around the CBD area, try going for an Omakase dining experience at Cho Omakase. What is different here compared to dining at normal Japanese restaurant is that each food item is served right before you, with the chef making delicate pieces of sushi, for instance in front of you if you get the counter seats.
For 8 courses, expect different taste sensations as you get to enjoy items ranging from seafood, oyster, fish, tofu, ice cream etc.
Lunch sets are available starting from $78++.

Barry’s Singapore
Address: 18 Robinson Rd, #03-03, Singapore 048547
There are so many options and Barry’s Singapore is one of the nicer places to head out for a workout. It is going to be tough so be mentally prepared for what you are going for. It is a bootcamp kind of fitness centre, doing HIIT workout in a small group. It is a medium to high intensity workout and it is not going to be easy. The lights at the studio are tinted for example, the red room whereby the lights are red and loud music is playing in the background to get your adrenaline pump up. After workout, head over to their Fuel Bar and try out their smoothies.

Best fish soup nearby Fullerton Hotel

Arcade Fish soup
Address: 11 Collyer Quay, Singapore 049317
Nearest MRT: Raffles Place MRT Exit A
This is a popular place for lunch and I always come over whenever I staycation at The Fullerton Hotel or The Fullerton Bay Hotel. If you are coming from The Fullerton Hotel, you can either use the underground walkway or cross the traffic lights at Bank of China. If you are coming from the Fullerton Bay Hotel, you can use the overhead walkway from The Arcade, right outside The Fullerton Bay Hotel entrance. If you walk a bit further to the Customs House, you can use the escalator instead of stairs.
During covid times, they also have delivery services but eating their fish soup will be best enjoyed in their shop. They have a variety of fish soup combinations for selection. Their grief garlic is a must and you can help yourself to it. Also, you can buy their fried garlic back too, in bottles for like $6 per bottle. Truth to be told, there had been some unglamorous news on this Arcade Fish soup about their hygiene level. But they are still having long queues everyday during lunch time.

The Arcade
Address: 11 Collyer Quay, Singapore 049317
Nearest MRT: Raffles Place MRT Exit A
This is one of the gems in Raffles Place. For those who are working in Raffles Place will know of its existence, The Arcade. It is located right next to Raffles MRT exit A and you can buy lunch here at a cheaper price. Plus it is also the number 1 place in Singapore to exchange foreign currency. A quick check online shows: The Arcade was built in 1909 by the Alkaff family, has 3 levels of retail and 16 levels of office space. At their lift lobbies, it is also unique. You do not enter the lift then press your desired lift button. You will have to enter the level which you want to go before the lift assigns you which lift to enter. I agree, it is kind of confusing but trust me, there are more buildings adapting this concept.
Pay a visit to The Arcade, change some foreign currency and have lunch here. You get to admire their architecture and immerse yourself into the atmosphere.

WaaCow! Affordable and Amazing!
WaaCow!
Always wanted to try the Beef Donburis at WaaCow! Had a chance to try it recently and it did not disappoint!
⠀
Ordered the Mentaiko Wagyu Beef Bowl, it came with a generous portion of the pink hued mentaiko sauce over the tender juicy singed wagyu beef.⠀Some pickles, chopped onion and a wobbly onsen egg topped the bowl together with a teaspoon of mentai𝗄o! 🤤
⠀
Thought that it was worth the price considering it's quality and quantity! Every component was spot on from the beef right down to the pickles served at the side. To say the least, this was by far one of the best beef bowls I’ve ever had. Would definetly be back!😊 I'd recommend you to try it too!

Located right at the heart of #rafflesplace and easily accessible by MRT, it is at the basement and easy to get to.
Signs around the shop claims that they serve the most healthy pork. Food is delicious and really liked the Grilled Pork Jowl and the Teriyaka pork rice with egg. Service is decent and place is also clean and neat.
They also run various promotions for some dishes. Overall price is between 10-20 per dish so quite affordable for quality #deliciousfood

Raffles Place: Exploring Singapore's CBD
🎉 Historical Footprints in a Bustling City
Located in the heart of Singapore, Raffles Place serves as a financial and commercial hub, boasting a skyline filled with modern skyscrapers. However, you might be surprised to find that it is not just about business here. Amidst the busy office buildings, there are numerous historical buildings and landmarks that seem to transport you back to the early development days of Singapore. For instance, the Fullerton Hotel, which was once the central post office, stands as a witness to Singapore's colonial history. Now a luxurious hotel, it still retains its classical architectural charm, inviting passersby to stop and admire.
👍 A Green Paradise for Strolling
Walking around Raffles Place, you'll notice the impressive greenery, which is quite different from the typical image of a business district. Whether it's the shaded pathways beside the skyscrapers or the small gardens scattered around, this area is perfect for a relaxing stroll. Especially in the afternoon, the lush greenery contrasts sharply with the surrounding modern buildings. Entering this bustling financial district, you can feel the city's vibrancy while also enjoying the tranquility of nature.
🚩 Discovering the Charm of Historical Buildings
In addition to the modern commercial vibe, Raffles Place is surrounded by many historical buildings worth exploring. The old buildings, mainly in Victorian style, such as the Asian Civilisations Museum by the Singapore River and the nearby Lau Pa Sat food center, are must-visit spots for history and culture enthusiasts. These buildings bear witness to Singapore's development from the colonial era to the present. Walking among them, you can almost relive the history of how Singapore grew from a small fishing village into an international metropolis.

The height of the art piece is more than 8 meters. The artist is trying to bring protrait a mirror effect whereby you will see many tiny of your own self when walking into this sculpture. When walking pass by here, I can see myself appearing on every stainless steel spheres. The focus in on myself and not on the many buildings behind me.
