[2024 Beijing Stay] Travel Guide for Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel (Updated Dec)
Encountered a prince on the streets of Beijing, who turned out to be "Guan Ni Hao Hao Wan".
🤓 I never expected to travel back 300 years and become a prince, embarking on an immersive treasure hunt of "National Colors and Palace Colors"!
📸 I wonder if you have encountered me on the streets? Many passersby saw us in gorgeous Qing Dynasty palace costumes and came up to take photos with us. We were so popular!
This time, we participated in the "Guan Ni Hao Hao Wan" themed event jointly organized by Marriott Bonvoy and the Guardian Art Center. We had a close-up look at nearly 100 rare Qing Dynasty palace embroidery and woven costumes, each of which was like an artistic treasure from history, allowing me to deeply appreciate the unique charm of the Qing Dynasty's Chinese color aesthetics.
As night fell, we moved to the Beijing Jinmao JW Marriott Hotel, which integrated the city's cultural energy into every space experience. Marriott Bonvoy really knows our hearts and incorporated the essence of the national colors from the exhibition into the signature cocktails and cuisine, allowing us to continue exploring the beauty of Chinese art in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere!🍸
I have to say that as a leading global hotel brand, Marriott's collaboration with cultural and tourism projects this time showcased an innovative model of deeply integrating tourism and cultural experiences. Through a wide variety of cultural activities, Marriott Bonvoy always brings unique travel experiences!
👋 👋 I recommend everyone to pay more attention to Marriott's "Guan Ni Hao Hao Wan" event. When booking 13 hotels in Beijing, you can get a discount on the Guardian Art Center exhibition for just 1 yuan... The "National Colors and Palace Colors" exhibition is valid until September 22nd, so don't miss it if you like it!
Guests who book the "Guan Ni Hao Hao Wan" Fun Tour Package can enjoy themed dining, exhibition tickets, summer children's activities, and tickets to historical sites in Beijing such as the Great Wall and Hongluo Temple, unlocking a one-stop experience combining hotel stays and destination exploration. The package is valid until October 31st. Come and "Guan Ni Hao Hao Wan" with us!

Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Fabulous Restaurant

Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel, No.57 Wangfujing Main Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing China
We could not fault this hotel and loved our stay in Beijing. The staff were pleasant & always there to help -almost all of them spoke English and if didn't they would use their phone to translate. The restaurant offers delicious western al la carte menu....a little pricey but worth it. We are a family of four and we found that almost all hotels in Beijing do not offer two queen/double beds which means you have to get two separate rooms. The renaissance does offer one room with two double beds which suited us perfectly. The location was an easy 5-10 min walk from main shops in Wangfujing street. The hotel offers bottled water daily and fully stocked of toiletry supplies. The shower was amazing too. It was very clean and a very high standard...would definitely come back and stay here again. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay pleasant.
Food Studio is the lively hub of dining at the Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel - a modern all-day venue with buffets, live cooking stations and open show kitchens as well as a terrace space. A 'living' green wall underlines the focus on fresh, premium quality, organic ingredients. A large open bar likewise embraces fresh fruits for cocktails and mixers. Polished wooden flooring and panels, blackboard menus featuring daily specials create an earthy ambience, like dining within the kitchen itself. All-day dining venue features the freshest produce and chef's signatures ranges from traditional Spanish crispy suckling pig, slow cooked Australian ribs to premium seafood. On the drinks menu is serving fresh and healthy selections of smoothies, lemonade and selected wine list.

This afternoon tea set captures the romance of the central axis of Beijing.
Enjoy the new "Central Axis" themed afternoon tea at the Executive Lounge of the Beijing Renaissance Hotel, which combines the romance of food and cultural heritage.
The first season of the "Central Axis" themed afternoon tea is called "Ancient Charm" and features the Drum Tower as the main scene. The sugar sculptures of the Drum Tower, red walls, street signs, and bus stop signs are so lifelike that you feel as if you are at the foot of the Drum Tower, listening to the sound of drums and the stories of Beijing.
The classic combination of four sweet and four savory dishes reflects the characteristics of Beijing in both shape and taste.
The Qianlong cabbage cream pudding in the shape of cabbage symbolizes wealth, and the 28 sauce used inside is a favorite of Beijing children;
The Swallow Kite Cheesecake is shaped like a kite and a spool, representing flying high and praying for blessings;
The Beijing-style roast duck skin caviar old Beijing fruit bread is nostalgic and stylish;
The French persimmon foie gras jelly is round and bright, symbolizing good luck.
For drinks, the specially launched Golden Autumn Osmanthus Oolong Tea is full of autumn flavor, and even the tea tray is in the shape of a drum, full of cultural details.
Enjoy this afternoon tea in the Executive Lounge, where you can enjoy the architectural aesthetics of the central axis through the hotel's floor-to-ceiling windows, with a distant view of the Drum Tower and Beihai, and a close view of Jingshan and the Forbidden City, and experience the cultural charm of the central axis from multiple dimensions.
Wandering Wine and Dine
Red walls and green tiles, a long history.
🌟Highlights:
The Renaissance Beijing Jinmao Hotel has launched a central axis-themed "Drum Rhythm" afternoon tea, with the Drum Tower as the main scene, combined with Beijing's cultural highlights and seasonal food. The lifelike Drum Tower shape makes people feel as if they have come to the foot of the Drum Tower, listening to the drum sound from the historical accumulation, each sound is telling the beautiful memory that only belongs to Beijing.
❤Recommended reason:
From the overall landscape, the "Drum Rhythm" afternoon tea has always shown the unique style of the hotel, miniaturizing the Drum Tower and its iconic red wall in the tea. The classic combination of four sweet and four salty not only retains the essence of afternoon tea in terms of variety, but also embodies Beijing characteristics in terms of shape and taste.
✅Must experience:
🥬The Qianlong cabbage cream pudding in the shape of cabbage is paired with 28 sauce-flavored mousse. The inspiration comes from Beijing's famous dish "Qianlong Cabbage", which also implies harmony and wealth.
🪁The swallow kite cheesecake uses the shape of a paper kite and a thread shaft, highlighting the fun and playfulness representative of Beijing;
🥖Beijing-flavored roast duck skin caviar old Beijing fruit bread, selected Beijing representative food roast duck, integrated into the afternoon tea salty product creativity for a new presentation;
🍰The French persimmon foie gras is very popular, and the round and bright persimmon shape also expresses the good wish of "everything goes well" to the diners.
🍹In terms of beverage pairing, a special golden autumn osmanthus oolong tea is launched, allowing guests to feel the autumn atmosphere in the tea fragrance.

The Beijing Central Axis has been successfully inscribed on the World Heritage List, and the afternoon tea is full of Beijing flavor.
The successful inscription of the Beijing Central Axis on the World Heritage List is of great significance to Dongcheng District, Beijing. Beijing Jinmao Marriott, combined with Beijing culture, launched the "Drum Rhythm" afternoon tea.
The shape is exquisite and beautiful, as if you are next to the Drum Tower, listening to those historical stories.
Afternoon tea is divided into lobby style and executive lounge style. In the executive lounge, Jinmao Marriott's unique excellent location, super large floor-to-ceiling windows, can overlook the architectural aesthetics on the central axis.
So let's talk about afternoon tea. "Qianlong Cabbage" is not only realistic in shape, but also the filling inside is added with Beijing Erba sauce. The sweet and smooth cream is added with the salty fragrance of Erba sauce, which is a wonderful match. The cheese cake in the shape of a paper kite and a reel is a representative of Beijing's fun and play. French foie gras is made into a persimmon shape, which is not only delicious, but also contains more good meanings.

Beijing JW Marriott Hotel - A river away from the Forbidden City.
Beijing JW Marriott Hotel Forbidden City View Room, a river away from the Forbidden City. This was our first time in Beijing, and we chose the Beijing JW Marriott Hotel under Marriott. It was unexpectedly good.
The hotel is near Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, and it is a 5-10 minute walk to the subway station, which is very convenient.
As soon as we entered the lobby, we were attracted by the decoration. A large bookshelf is placed behind the check-in counter, which is very interesting.
The whole style is luxurious and decent, but it doesn't look old-fashioned, it's worth a compliment. The room area is okay, there is no sense of oppression. There is welcome fruit next to the minibar.
Unlike traditional hotels, the bathroom is behind the TV; the usual bathroom location is an open cloakroom. The better design of this bathroom is that in addition to being dry and wet, there are also connected windows to provide better comfort.
The view of the room is also okay. Although it is a Forbidden City view, most of the bottom is a quadrangle, and the Forbidden City can only be seen from a distance.
If the visibility is better, the room can even see farther mountains, and the view of the Forbidden City will be clearer.
Due to height restrictions, only a part of the Forbidden City roof can be seen, and it is more difficult to see the panorama, especially in smoggy weather.
We also saw the hotel from the direction of the Forbidden City, but we could only see the top part.
The hotel also provides a night bed service. When we came back, the slippers were properly placed and new drinking water was added.

The amazing hotel I stayed at - Beijing JW Marriott Hotel.
Hey, friends, today I'm going to talk about the amazing hotel I stayed at recently - Beijing JW Marriott Hotel. It's a bright spot in the city center, perfectly blending the prosperity of Wangfujing Street and the classical beauty of the Forbidden City!
As soon as you walk into the hotel, the perfect combination of modern technology and warm elegance instantly brightens your eyes. Especially the rooms in the west area, when you open the curtains, the magnificent view of the Forbidden City is directly in front of you, making you feel high-end and classy! It's a great choice for traveling with kids. You can see the red walls and yellow tiles of the Forbidden City when you wake up in the morning. The little guy was so excited that he couldn't stop taking pictures and checking in.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the sanitary conditions are top-notch. Every detail reflects the quality assurance of Marriott International. Moreover, the sound insulation of the hotel is also top-notch, and I slept very well at night without being disturbed by the noise outside.
In terms of facilities, it has everything you need. Indoor swimming pool, fitness center, spa center, everything you need to relax. Especially the swimming pool, after swimming, go to the sauna, and you will feel refreshed. Also, the mini fridge, hair dryer and other daily necessities are all available, which is super thoughtful.
Speaking of food, the hotel's restaurant and bar are not to be missed. The breakfast is particularly rich, with both Chinese and Western styles to satisfy all tastes. Guests in the executive rooms can also enjoy breakfast in the restaurant upstairs. Although there are fewer varieties, the environment is quiet, and dining while looking at the beautiful view of the Forbidden City outside the window makes you feel better.
The location is even better, close to Tiananmen Square and Beijing People's Art Theatre, with snack streets and subway stations all around, making it super convenient to travel. Especially when going out with kids, it only takes a few minutes to walk to the subway station, which saves time and effort.
The hotel staff is also super enthusiastic, especially Sarah at the front desk, who has a smiling face and provides thoughtful service. She can help you solve any problems in a timely manner. The evening hot food buffet in the executive lounge is also a nice surprise. Although there is not much food, it is enough to fill your stomach. When you come back tired, you can recharge and feel great!
In short, Beijing JW Marriott Hotel is a truly satisfying stay experience. Whether it's the environment, service or facilities, it's impeccable. Next time I come to Beijing, I will definitely choose here without hesitation!

📍 Nestled in the heart of Beijing's Dongcheng District, the Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel boasts a prime location just a stone's throw from the Forbidden City. With a blend of traditional charm and modern comfort, it's a traveler's oasis amid the bustling city streets.
🛏️ The rooms offer a cozy escape with decent space and unique bathroom designs that maximize comfort. Beijing Renaissance Capital Hotel
It is very close to the Forbidden City, only an 8-minute taxi ride away. The surrounding core area has relatively complete supporting facilities, and some popular food stores can also deliver.
Listening to the local driver, the hotel was formerly the Wangfujing Grand Hotel~ No wonder the decoration feels quite dated, the furniture and carpets feel old, making it seem not so clean... The TV is also an old small TV, and there's no way to cast to it.
The suite's space is okay, but the sound insulation of the room is a bit poor. Maybe because it's a bit old, the walls sometimes vibrate and make some noise~
Rooms on higher floors can see the roof of the Forbidden City, and you can also see it when having breakfast in the executive lounge upstairs.
Overall, it feels like apart from the good location, the stay is quite average

Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel: A Luxurious Stay Near the Forbidden City
Experience at the Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel, just across the river from the Forbidden City in Beijing.
For our first visit to Beijing, we chose the Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel, a Marriott property, and it was surprisingly good.
Room Type: Executive Lounge Access Room, Forbidden City View
Recommended: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Overall very good)
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Generally friendly staff, but it's odd that the staff standing in the elevator lobby never greets guests)
Dining: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Excellent)
Transportation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (The subway station is nearby, and Wangfujing can also be reached on foot)
The hotel is close to the Wangfujing pedestrian street, and it's a 5 to 10-minute walk to the subway station, which is very convenient.
As soon as I entered the lobby, I was attracted by its decor. A large bookshelf is placed behind the check-in counter, which feels quite interesting. The entire style is luxuriously appropriate, yet not outdated, which is commendable.
The room size is decent, without feeling cramped. Unlike traditional hotels, the bathroom is behind the TV; where you'd usually expect the bathroom, there's an open wardrobe instead. The good thing about this bathroom design is that it not only has a wet and dry separation but also a connecting window, providing better comfort.
The view from the room is also nice. Due to height restrictions, you can only see part of the Forbidden City's rooftops, and a full view is difficult to get, especially on hazy days. On clear days, you can even see mountains in the distance, making the view of the Forbidden City clearer.
The hotel also offers a turndown service. When you return, the slippers are neatly arranged, and fresh drinking water is replenished.
In summary, considering the price and overall quality, it is recommendable.

The hotel in Beijing is definitely a great place to stay
The hotel does feel a bit old, indeed. I just got sprayed in the face when I turned on the shower, and upon closer inspection, I found that the shower head was leaking, spraying water everywhere, unavoidable. It caught me off guard but it's still worth recommending.
❤Recommended reasons:
. ✅The room's creamy ins-style design is so cozy! The whole room is designed in cream color, which is so warm! The hotel also thoughtfully provided video VIP access⭕ The most important thing is lying down and watching the night view of the Canton Tower!! Who gets it😭It's too joyful.
. ✅The location is hard not to love. It's only an 8-minute walk away. Right outside is Dim Dou Dak, and within 500 meters, there are all the famous old eateries😋 It's close to Chimelong, Tianhe City, and Parc Central. Downstairs, there's a bar, 7-11, and a snack street.
. ✅Fully equipped facilities with smart locks, no need for keys or cards. Washing machine, fridge🔅The quality of the giant screen projection is not inferior to a cinema. The landlord also prepared some snacks😋which is really thoughtful. At night, you can even take a photo with the Tower📸 Can't stop taking pictures with my bestie!!

Beijing Hotel | JW Marriott Hotel
It's been a long time since I enjoyed such a great five-star hotel alliance afternoon tea~~~~The location is near the Forbidden City/Wangfujing in Beijing JW Marriott Hotel is considered to be in the prime location of Beijing city center, the hotel's various facilities are also quite good, it is said that the executive lounge on the high floor can overlook the Jingshan Forbidden City.
The lobby design is great, the room is a bit irregular, the bedroom and bathroom, bathtub and other spaces are well divided. There are many small details in the hotel's public areas, such as the light strips on the top or mirrors, decorative objects, etc.
The location is very good, very close to Wangfujing. Shopping and dining are very convenient.

I think this is the cleanest hotel I have been too in a very long time. The room was immaculate. Great job by housekeeping. The restaurant was very good. The food is amazing. We had a wonderful time.
We had club access and this was not bad. I would suggest you go early as we went at 7 and most of the food was gone. The atmosphere is quite and relaxed and is situated on the 17th floor. Great hotel

Cleanest hotel in Beijing.
I often stay in hotels around Beijing. but I find The Renaissance Wangfujing was the cleanest hotel I have been in so far. I checked in to my room and could not find anything out of place. the housekeeper did an amazing job. she even folded all my clothes and packed it neatly. wow!! I’m very impressed with the hotel and the staff. Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of food and drinks.
