The room is quite large overall, with one floor-to-ceiling window allowing you to enjoy the view of the Shilin Mansion without a blind spot. The room is decorated with classical lighting to bring out a strong retro style. Upon switching on the light. you can see roses blooming! The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and there is a large designed bathtub. The mini bar contains all kinds of coffee and tea bags in a "Chinese gift box", which is very unique. The refrigerator also provides paid drinks, but the charges are quite low. The coffee is a UCC filter hanging type, which is very delicious. There is a square desk and a rattan chair in the floor-to-ceiling window area, where you can read and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountains outside the window. There is a rather large chaise longue and a small marble-patterned round table in the sleeping area, which is very comfortable. The TV is a Samsung 55-inch smart TV. The highlight of my stay at the Renaissance Shilin Hotel during my Taipei trip was undoubtedly the outdoor pool. I couldn't believe I found such a nature-friendly pool in the middle of the city! I was genuinely glad I chose to stay at the Renaissance Shilin Hotel. The pool is located on the hotel's rooftop, boasting a tranquil and luxurious atmosphere. Especially in the evening, the soft lighting added a romantic touch. Next to the pool, there are sunbeds for relaxing, and one floor below, there's a sauna, making it perfect for unwinding after a day of travel. If you're looking for a relaxing healing time during your Taipei trip, just enjoying the pool here would be well worth it.

Renaissance Taipei Shilin Hotel - Location: In the heart of Shilin area, close to Shilin Night Market. - How to get there: About a 10-minute walk from MRT Jiantan Station. Approximately 40 minutes by taxi from the airport. - Average price per night: Around $200-$300 (varies by season). First of all, the Renaissance Shilin Hotel in Taipei is really attractive because it is close to the Shilin Night Market. After enjoying food at the night market every evening, it was perfect to return to the clean and stylish rooms of the hotel to rest. Since it's close to the subway station, it was nice to be able to walk back to the hotel without any hassle after traveling to other areas. The rooms were much more spacious than I expected, making it suitable for family trips. Especially, the view of Yangmingshan from the window was so beautiful! If you are planning a trip to Taipei, consider the Renaissance Shilin Hotel :)

Taipei Shilin Renaissance Shilin Kitchen All-You-Can-Eat Snow Crab.

Take advantage of the countdown to free snow crab. Shilin Kitchen will switch to a full buffet starting from December 1st. The snow crab will retire, making the dining table more diverse and abundant. The prices have also been slightly adjusted: weekday lunch $1480, dinner $1580, and all-day on weekends $1880. Currently, it is in a semi-buffet style. For weekday dinners, you can choose only the buffet for $1280. The central table features a fresh salad bar with the main attraction being the chilled snow crab, which you can freely take. There is a pre-prepared assorted sashimi, or you can directly choose your favorite items. The scallops are really great if you order them separately. The hot food options are relatively few but all very delicious. The freshly made Parmesan cheese pasta, roast chicken, and lemon fish are all very good. Other tables also have bread, fruits, desserts, ice cream, and beverages. The bread is highly praised by us, especially the grape and cheese rolls, which are replenished from start to finish. There is unsweetened green tea available, but beer has become a paid option. Overall, everyone ate very happily and we are quite looking forward to the new format in December.

The exterior and entrance signage are consistent in style, exuding a rich Japanese Zen vibe 🥰🥰 The hotel lobby staff are enthusiastic and provide professional service at a five-star level 👍 The housekeeping staff are very efficient in delivering supplies ❤️ This time, I stayed in a mountain view room. The room design is mainly white, and the bathroom is separated from the bedroom by glass, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful view outside the window while taking a bath. It is definitely a perfect low-key luxury accommodation experience!!

On the last day of our trip to Taipei, we chose the Renaissance Taipei Shihlin Hotel, a hotel owned by Marriott, which is known as a paradise in the city. After getting off the MRT station, walk through a street and road, then go all the way and make a big turn to arrive. The sun was blazing that day, and it was a bit hard to hold my luggage while sweating without a roof to cover my head. When we arrived at the front desk, the staff immediately welcomed us. After placing our luggage, we were invited to the executive lounge on the 9th floor to rest and have some snacks and drinks. Since it takes time to prepare the room, we first visited the nearby Palace Museum. Then around afternoon, the executive lounge staff informed us via email that the room was ready. The room is arranged on the same floor as the executive lounge on the 9th floor. Although the area is small, it has all the facilities. Since there was no twin room, the hotel added an extra bed for us for free, which was very generous. Not only that, all drinks and food in the Mini bar are free, which saves us from having to shuttle between executive lounges and rooms. I feel that other Marriott hotels should do the same. The welcome desserts are chocolates with gold foil and cakes similar to coconut tarts, both of which are very delicious. I was also given two packs of cold dripping chicken essence, which made me feel the hotel’s thoughtfulness. The turndown service was in line with Marriott and Renaissance standards, and ice buckets were also prepared. It is said that the light and shadow patterns of roses and butterflies in the guest rooms and corridor walls are all inspired by the rose garden of Shilin Mansion. It makes guests feel like they are in the beautiful garden of Shilin Mansion. It is indeed clever. Although the reservation was for the most basic Deluxe Room without a mountain view, I was fortunately upgraded to the Mountain View Prestige Room, enjoying the magnificent mountain scenery. The room facilities were comprehensive, including a comfortable mattress, a variety of amenities, and thoughtful design, such as the sensor light in the bathroom and the supplies in the wardrobe. The room decor paid attention to detail, creating an elegant atmosphere with rose and butterfly motifs. Particularly noteworthy is the desk and chair area by the window, where one can appreciate the entire mountain view, giving the stay a unique vacation feel. Moreover, the attentive service of the staff and the completeness of the room facilities also left a deep impression.
