It is not very far from the city center, taking only about 30 minutes by bus from Tsim Sha Tsui, Central, or Hong Kong Station. I took the 6X bus from the Admiralty Station B exit bus stop, which is between Central and Hong Kong Stations. Buses 6 and 260 also go to Repulse Bay from the same stop, but 6X is the fastest. Hong Kong has many beaches, but my favorite is to go to the Southern District. There are quite a few beaches in the Southern District. This time, I walked from Repulse Bay to Deep Water Bay. The scenery along the way is very beautiful, starting from the afternoon dusk🌆 and walking slowly. Along the way, there are many unique flowers and plenty of spots for taking photos, slowly watching the sunset step by step is very leisurely. This journey from Repulse Bay to Deep Water Bay, then to Ocean Park and finally to Wong Chuk Hang is very enjoyable.

It’s only about 20 to 30 minutes on the bus to get to a few bays and beaches in Hong Kong from central. One of the first stops was deep, water base or deep water beach, however, if you continue you will get to one of the more popular beaches called Repulse Bay. In contrary to its name, it is not repulsive, and it boasts beautiful scenery and a wide open beach to relax. Although the sand is not very soft, you will still enjoy a nice day out with the family, and the water was still warm in January. Although there were warnings that the nets to protect sharks from getting in the area were not in operation and not being maintained at the time, it felt like a safe area to swim. If you have forgotten your towel, like me, you can surely find any food drink or items at the 7 Eleven shop by the beachfront. I went to Repulse Bay Beach with a friend, even after knowing that that day will be raining. But we still had hope that when we arrived at the beach it will be all sunshine and blue sky. From central exchange square, we can take bus 6 or 6X and get off at Repulse Bay Beach stop. You need to go down the stairs and walk through a small park to reach the beach. Usually there will be a few people going to the beach as well so you can just follow the crowd. The beach looks clean for my perspective and not too crowded. But as soon as we went to the water it started to rain so we need to hide under our umbrella. Luckily after 15 minutes of rain, the rain cloud went away and we can enjoy laying on the sand and look at the sky. #beach #nature

This is so easy to get to. Take whatever train to Central MTR station. Go down to the bus exchange and take any of the buses that say they go to Stanley. 6x is the one I took. Stay on the bus until you pass Deep Water Bay and then it’s going to be the next beach. what makes this beach great is a few things. 1. Easy to get to. 2. The shade trees to park yourself under on the beach. 3. shark nets and deep water make it great for swimming. 4. Full showers and changing areas for free. 5. There are some great places to eat in the Pulse mall next to the showers, including one that is for dogs and humans to go to together. you can order your dog a meal and yourself. it was called “Hooman” (last pic) but the beach itself doesn’t allow the dogs so that’s kind of a bummer #beach #beachlife #dog

Repulse Bay is a good spot if you would like to visit a beach while in Hong Kong. Go to the bus station in Central and take bus number 260 to Stanley. This bus stops at Repulse Bay, and you can return from here also. This beach is a bit more luxurious and larger than Deep Water Bay. Plenty of flat clean beach space, trees for shade and food options also. The water is shallow and clean. A good relaxing day away from the busy Hong Kong scene. #givethanks

This time, we enjoyed a refined lunch at Fratelli, an Italian restaurant in Repulse Bay 🇮🇹. We started with Vitello Tonnato 🥩 as an appetizer ($120). This classic Italian cold dish features thinly sliced veal paired with a special tuna sauce, offering a rich texture. The tender veal and the well-matched sauce bring a refreshing taste 🥰. For the main course, we had Aglio Olio Mussels Linguine 🍝 ($190). The pasta was cooked to perfection, with a chewy texture. The fresh mussels absorbed the flavors of olive oil, garlic, and spices, making each bite full of seafood goodness. The aromatic garlic and a hint of spiciness made this dish stand out even more 😋. We chose the classic Tiramisu for dessert. Just had a very recharging weekend with my wife in Hong Kong, let me share few spotlights to help you plan your trip: 1. I recommend staying in Ocean Park Marriott, yes! It is 15 min drive to Central, but you are located in completely different part of the island. Hotel has own outside pool and beach and the famous Ocean Park is very close. 2. Repulse Bay is only 2.4km away. I suggest getting a cab there in the morning. Enjoy the swim and walk from one side of the beach to another. There is a good selection of restaurants to eat there. 3. From Repulse Bay you can make a walk back to Deep Water Bay by the sea side pass, get one more swim in this smaller bay, have a shower and keep working same direction back to the hotel. Most of the walk is by sea side except last 300 meters by road, after stairs. 4. The Pick and the Pick Tram. Best to get to the pick by taxi, tram queue can be long. I recommend to check in to top platform on the roof of Pick Tower or at least have a coffee, meal in one of restaurants in that building. If you have time take a slow walk down, it is very enjoyable. But if there is no queue I recommend taking a tram down, there will be a couple wow moments, no spoilers. 5. Then go to Central-Mid-Levels Escalators, get up to the old Prison square for an eat or drink. If open, I recommend to see the prison, there is a lot of history to explore 6. Going down by famous Central old stairs is very romantic, they also open up some great views, worth to explore 7. Scroll through some Central streets with great views of Hong Kong towers and get the feelings of one of Asia leading financial centers. Then head towards Central Star Ferry Pier. 8.
