Magnificent island of Rhodes 🇬🇷
#islands
My summer vacation on the Island of Rhodes was truly unforgettable! 🌞 Located in the Aegean Sea, Rhodes offers a perfect blend of history, stunning beaches, and vibrant local culture. The island's rich history is evident in the medieval Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site with its ancient walls and charming streets. Exploring here is free, though some museums and attractions have small entrance fees, usually around €5-€10.
We also spent plenty of time relaxing on the beautiful beaches like Lindos and Anthony Quinn Bay. 🏖️ A visit to the ancient city of Kamiros and the impressive Palace of the Grand Master were highlights. Rhodes is a fantastic destination for both relaxation and exploration.

Island of the Sun
#freehotelstay
The Greek Island of Rhodes is full of fascinating history. It is sometimes called “Island of the Sun” because its patron god was Helios, Greek god of the sun. Rhodes is the ninth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and boasts one of the most well preserved medieval towns in Europe. The island has been conquered and occupied by many political groups throughout history - the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantine Empire, the Ottoman Empire, Italians, Germans, and probably more. There is a mix of cultures, history, and architecture throughout the old town. But perhaps one of the most interesting things about Rhodes is that it once boasted one of the seven great wonders of the ancient world - the Colossus of Rhodes statue. Unfortunately, the statue was destroyed a long time ago, but the site of where the Colossus once stood is marked by deer statues. Aside from history, we also found charming cafes and restaurants in old town serving delicious Mediterranean food, so this town can be enjoyed by history buffs and others who just want to enjoy food and shopping 😊. It’s no wonder Rhodes is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most visited destinations in Europe.

Cultural and Geological Melathro - Rhodes
When I visited the Cultural Palace in Rhodes, I was truly amazed and inspired. The owner passionately showcased a vast collection of cultural, historical, and geological treasures. The museum was divided into three sections, each offering a fascinating array of artifacts and exhibits. The personal tour provided by the guide allowed me to immerse myself in Greek history and culture.

Amazing Hotel😍
The largest of the twelve Dodecanese islands on the Aegean's eastern edge, Rhodes is also its most popular. The well-preserved medieval city of Rhodes sits at the north of the island of the same name. High rise hotels line the northern and eastern coastlines. Small villages and resorts dot the island's other shores. Whether your interests are beaches, bars or ancient sites, Rhodes offers an abundance of all three. Authentic Greece can be found in the hilly interior of the 50-mile-long island.😍😍#tigeryear2022 #beachlife #staycation #infinitypool #mountainview #nationalpark

#providence, Rhode Island might not be the first thought that comes to mind when you thing the words vacation. However, this is a nice little New England Town that's located basically between New York City and Boston. If you're spending time in the Northeast, this is a good place to check out. You can enjoy the many bars and restaurants downtown near the State Capitol Building.

Rence
Rhodes Town is the main city on the Rhodes Island which is famous from thousands of years with the mythical Colossus. Today this sight doesn't exist but the place still has the charm of the old cities. Mixed with the nice architecture, Greek culture and beautiful beaches of the Aegean sea it is one of the best destinations for a summer vacation

There are many reasons why Greece ranks so highly on holiday goers list. The medieval European city of Rhodes and it's beaches are one of the reasons for me. It is on the extreme northwestern tip of the island, with beaches such as Faliraki within easy reach, with sheltered warm water, cafés and restaurants, and watersports.
Only a few kilometers further down south is another tiny delight, notable for its calm water and scenic beauty. The so-called “Anthony Quinn” beach of Vagies was named for the actor who fell in love with Rhodes while filming here. The island of Rhodes is known to have more than 30 beaches with blue flag ratings for their level of cleanliness.
With its unspoiled nature, crystal-clear water and variety of terrain, Rhodes is home to some of the best beaches in Greece. You can relax in an exclusive resort on the eastern coastline, or windsurf on the wilder west side of the island.#beachlife #greece #summerdestinations #rhodestrip

Medieval City of Rhodes|The Pearl of Rhodes
|The Pearl of Rhodes. Rhodes is located in the southeastern Aegean Sea, at the junction of the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. It is the fourth largest island in Greece and the largest tourist center in Greece.
The city of Rhodes is located at the northern end of Rhodes, where half of the island's population lives. It is also the capital of the island and the tourist center. In 1988, the medieval city of Rhodes was selected as a cultural world heritage site by UNESCO.
The medieval city of Rhodes was built in 408 BC. Historically, it was a military fortress on the eastern Mediterranean civilization of ancient Greece and a port for Christian ships during the Crusades. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the Gothic era.
Walking in the streets and alleys of the ancient city of Rhodes in Rhodes, Rhodes, what comes to the face is a strong sense of history and art.

The Acropolis of Lindos|Once the religious center of Greece
|Once the religious center of Greece. The Acropolis of Lindos is located on a cliff 116 meters above the sea in the southeastern part of Rhodes Island. It is about 60 kilometers away from Rhodes City.
The Acropolis of Lindos is magnificent, guarding the surrounding ports, towns, and coastlines. In the 6th century BC, it began to build walls, which were continuously reinforced afterwards.
A large number of brilliant architectural ruins from different periods from Greece to Rome have been left in the Acropolis of Lindos, including the Temple of Athena Lindia, the colonnade with 20 Greek-style columns, and the ruins of the Byzantine church.
The Temple of Athena Lindia was built in the 6th century BC and was once the religious center of all Greece. It suffered a major fire in 342 BC. In the 2nd century AD, people rebuilt the temple on the original site. Today, we can still see the glory of the past from the ruins of the walls.

Rhodes
We went here in 2020. Usually we go long haul but as unable to travel we choose to to Rhodes. The island is stunning and still has plenty of charm. The weather was amazing for September.
Rhodes had it all. Stunning beaches night life to party away to the early hours. Historic places to visit and stroll around at your leisure.
Just a 3 hour flight away from the UK. We will definitely be going back.

Saint Paul beach Rhodes 🗺️
#beachvacation
Saint Paul Beach in Rhodes, Greece, is a serene and picturesque gem that captivated my heart. Nestled near the historic village of Lindos on the island's east coast, it's a tranquil oasis with a touch of history. During my visit, I was enchanted by the quaint charm of this bay.
The beach is sheltered by two rocky headlands, providing calm, crystal-clear waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The view of the Acropolis of Lindos perched atop a hill overlooking the beach adds a touch of ancient majesty.
Saint Paul Beach is a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural significance. Whether you're relaxing on the golden sands or exploring the nearby village, this spot in Rhodes offers a unique and unforgettable experience that combines history, serenity, and the stunning Aegean Sea. #ukcreator #greece #rhodes
