I had delicious omakase in Seattle 🍣|||Restaurant name📍Sai Sushi & Sake
I went to a private Japanese restaurant in Seattle with my husband and family. There was only one chef, who prepared and cooked the food. The restaurant was small and could only accommodate 6–8 people at a time. There were four of us that day, and the chef was already very busy. The restaurant has a new menu every month.
Every dish was rich in flavor. The sea urchin melted in my mouth, and the fish was refreshing. The wasabi was a little spicy, and the rice ball was a little sour and sweet. The handroll was also delicious. The handroll on the November menu was filled with wagyu beef, sea urchin, white radish, and tuna. It was very satisfying, but I was already full by then.
It was the first time I saw wasabi being ground on the spot. I didn't know that wasabi was a plant. The freshly ground wasabi was a little fragrant and spicy, but it added a layer of flavor to the sashimi without overpowering it.
