It’s fascinating to see the beautiful lights surrounding the city especially the view from the top🤩🤩🤩 We enjoyed every second of our time here. The lights are fantastic! This view never gets old!
Top of Shanghai, Shanghai Tower, the 2nd tallest building in the world is a must see. It stands at an impressive 632m high. A pity the sky was not clear on this day. Be sure to choose a day with clean clear skies. I don't recommend the weekend, except Friday evening; this was at 6:30 p.m. so we got to see the west Bund lights come on at 7pm. The sky was smoggy so we didn't have the best sunset.

A view from the sky!
One of the biggest skyscrapers in Shanghai is the Shanghai Tower, located on The Bund.
As well as being an attraction to view in itself, you can also take an elevator right up to the top to see some great views of Shanghai. There are informative displays to let tourists know about the area of Shanghai that they are looking at as well as information about the construction of the building. There are some other interactive aspects such as a glass floor and a segment which ‘cracks’ as you walk over it! #shanghai_tower #shanghai #china

118 floors in the sky!
Location: Shanghai Tower Observation Deck
Located on the 118th floor of Shanghai Tower in Lujiazui area. The world's fastest elevator can take you to this 546-meter-high observatory where you will have a 360 degree bird's-eye view of Shanghai's renowned buildings, natural beauties and ever-changing sky. This is a better view compared to the Oriental Pearl Tower or Jin Mao tower.
I arrived at sunset to capture the Oriental Pearl Tower and Jin Mao Tower sparking in the sunlight. A stunning view of a stunning city.
I spent hours sitting by the window watching the lights turn on.

Soaring Above the City: Shanghai Tower
Shanghai Tower is an incredible feat of engineering and architecture, and its observation deck offers one of the most breathtaking views of the city. From the dizzying heights of the tower, you can see the sprawling metropolis of Shanghai in all its glory, with its towering skyscrapers, bustling streets, and vibrant neighborhoods. The view is especially stunning at sunset, when the city lights up and the sky is awash with orange and pink hues. The observation deck itself is spacious and well-designed, with plenty of seating areas and interactive displays that provide interesting facts and insights about the tower and the city below. Overall, the Shanghai Tower overlook is a must-visit attraction for anyone visiting Shanghai, and a great way to experience the city from a unique and unforgettable perspective.

Shanghai Tower (2nd tallest in the world)
Visiting the Shanghai Tower was pretty impressive, and the views were good. The price is a little bit expensive, even though you take the fastest elevator in the world and get to experience an amazing view from the 118/119 floor. There are a few restaurants where you can buy food and drinks. I would recommend you do it late in the afternoon to experience great views and lights.

The best view of Shanghai
On a clear day you can see incredibly far from the Shanghai tower. It is great fun to stand at the top and try and spot some of the famous sights and streets and maybe even your own home.
The ticket price is a little expensive at 160rmb each but well worth it. It is best to try and plan to go on a clear day. It doesn’t feel worth the money when you can’t see very far.
The attraction is really well managed, the tickets are easy to pick up and you are then ushered through security and on to a super fast elevators which take you to the top.
Once at the top there is a 360 Degree view. You can walk around any side of the tower. There is a bar/ café which we didn’t try and a shop for gifts.
Shanghai tower is a must visit for Shanghai, it will always be the biggest and best view and can easily take 2 hours.

China's largest city—and its most cosmopolitan
Shanghai is a luxurious playground for the well-heeled, with Michelin-star dining, high-end fashion houses, and over-the-top hotels. The Huangpu River splits the city into two districts: Pudong and Puxi. The Pudong skyline looks like it was ripped from the Jetsons; on the Puxi side, you can walk the Bund riverside district to get a taste of old Shanghai. The food scene is phenomenal; take advantage of tours that focus on local eats, like dumpling houses. Also, don’t miss the chance to fill your suitcase with custom-made clothing from bespoke shops.

Duoyun Books 📚 is a fairly new hotspot located in the tallest building in the city, the Shanghai Tower. With floor-to-ceiling windows, you’ll be able to browse through over a collection over 60,000 books and catch views of the Huangpu River skyline.
When you get there, enter the Shanghai Tower from entrance 2 on the first floor. Show your online reservation code, and the attendant will escort you to the 52nd floor where you’ll enter the bookstore.
The store itself is separated into two sections, each with a distinct design and atmosphere. With natural light coming in from the huge windows, the white section feels airy and bright, fitted with arched shelves and stacks of books. Further inside is the cave-like black section, where you’ll find art displays and a selection of gifts among the books.
If you’re lucky enough to visit on a day with nice weather, be sure to try and snag a window seat – the views are pretty amazing.
The bookstore has a café where one drink will set you back around 30 to 40 RMB. It tends to get pretty full on the weekends, so we recommend going during the week if you’re looking for a more peaceful, quiet bookstore experience.
Location: Level 52 of the Shanghai Tower, 501 Middle Yincheng Road

Shanghai Lujiazui Shanghai Center is definitely a landmark in the Pudong financial district. Towering buildings with an observatory on the top and an exhibition hall on the first floor. In the autumn of November, this small exhibition hall exhibited the exhibition Silk Road Dunhuang Happy Survival.
A lot of people are here for shopping in order to consume, so there are not many people in this exhibition hall, but the quality of the exhibition is quite high. The explanations of the employees are cut from the cultural perspective and are in line with the theme of the National Belt and Road.
A lot of treasures are rare to see, the prototype of the Mogao Grottoes in the early, middle and late three special caves is unforgettable.
Another area, the naked-eyed 3D reclining Buddha in the dark exhibition hall is solemn.
There is also a children's audio guide, which is very suitable for bringing children to increase knowledge.

Discovering Shanghai a 2 days Itinerary: A Journey Through Iconic Landmarks
Shanghai, a city that beautifully marries the traditional and the modern, is a treasure trove of iconic landmarks and vibrant neighborhoods waiting to be explored. My recent visit took me through some of the most fascinating sites, each offering a unique glimpse into the city's rich history and dynamic culture. Here’s a look at my unforgettable journey through The Bund, Tian Zi Fang, Zhang Yuan, and 1933 Lao Yang Fang.
Started off with Zhang Yuan, a beautiful garden oasis tucked away in the bustling city. This historic site is a perfect escape from the urban chaos, featuring tranquil ponds, lush greenery, and traditional architecture. As I wandered through the gardens, I felt a sense of peace and relaxation, allowing me to recharge before continuing my exploration.
Next on my itinerary was Tian Zi Fang, an artsy enclave known for its charming narrow alleys filled with unique shops, galleries, and cafes. The vibrant atmosphere was palpable as I strolled through the bustling streets, admiring the creativity that permeated the space. I spent hours browsing handmade crafts and enjoying the local art scene, picking up a few souvenirs along the way.
Ending the night at The Bund, Shanghai’s famous waterfront promenade that offers breathtaking views of the Huangpu River and the futuristic skyline of Pudong. Walking along the promenade, I marveled at the stunning architecture of colonial-era buildings, each telling a story of Shanghai’s storied past. The contrast between the historic facades and the modern skyscrapers, like the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower, is simply mesmerizing, especially in the early morning light.
No visit to Shanghai would be complete without exploring the 1933 Lao Yang Fang, a former slaughterhouse transformed into a creative hub. The building’s unique architecture features a maze-like design, making it an intriguing place to wander. Inside, I found a mix of shops, art installations, and eateries that highlight the innovative spirit of Shanghai.
As I wrapped up my journey through these iconic landmarks, I was left with a profound appreciation for Shanghai’s rich cultural tapestry. Each site I visited offered a different perspective of the city, from its historical roots to its modern innovations. Whether you’re wandering along The Bund, exploring art in Tian Zi Fang, or discovering the creative spaces at 1933 Lao Yang Fang, Shanghai is a city that promises unforgettable experiences at every turn.
