The tallest in the world refers to the highest number of floors (the highest altitude Shangri-La is in Lhasa).
The hotel has 88 floors with a building height of 403 meters, which also exceeds The Shard's 310 meters and the China World Trade Center Tower's 330 meters.
It has been a long time since I have seen a newly opened Shangri-La return to such a grand and magnificent design, from the first floor to the 68th floor's sky lobby, it's really majestic.
On the 71st floor, there is a 317-meter high outdoor swimming pool, which is said to be the highest outdoor swimming pool in China. Although there isn't much of a view in Nanning, on a clear day, the clouds seem within reach.
The ground floor has direct access to the MixC Mall and the subway station, making transportation very convenient.
The room I booked is one level above the basic room, the selected type, which is slightly larger than the basic room and includes an extra bathtub. The room's decoration is very tasteful, and the mattress is so comfortable.

I saw a high-altitude view of Nanning in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and couldn't forget it. I took advantage of the weekend to come to the place I had been longing to stay at ~ Shangri-La Nanning. It takes only four hours to travel from Hong Kong West Kowloon to Nanning East. The location is great and very convenient. It takes only 10 minutes to get from the high-speed rail station to the hotel 🥰

I recently visited Nanning to see friends and took the opportunity to check out the long-planned Shangri-La Hotel in Nanning.
The hotel is adjacent to the MixC Nanning and is located in the high zone of the 403-meter-tall Guangxi CRLand Tower, making it the tallest Shangri-La hotel to date. I heard that the hotel was originally planned to be branded as a Grand Hyatt, so the overall design style hardly shows the typical Shangri-La approach. Instead, it's full of Hyatt-style hotel design language, which is exactly why I wanted to visit.
The Deluxe Horizon Club King Room I stayed in is arguably the hotel's most popular and quintessential room type. Situated at the corner of the floor, not only is the room spacious, but the huge floor-to-ceiling windows also offer a better view of the cityscape.
Personally, if the hotel could have opened under the Grand Hyatt name, the overall experience (including dining and service) might have been more stylish. However, regardless, Shangri-La remains one of the top choices for accommodation in Nanning.

Nanning Shangri-La Hotel is the tallest hotel in Nanning and also the tallest Shangri-La Hotel in the world. I stayed in the hotel's Little Yellow Duck family themed room during the Spring Festival, and the experience was beyond expectations!
The room I stayed in was on the 85th floor, offering an unparalleled view of Nanning! Located at the corner of the building and featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, the room provides a 270-degree unobstructed view of the entire Minzu Avenue, capturing the bustling beauty of the city. In the morning, you can even witness the sunrise, which is quite stunning.
The family themed room is also well-prepared for children. The room is decorated with the Little Yellow Duck and Ctrip's Little Dolphin as themes, with toys, pillows, small tents, towels, mattresses, and floor mats all featuring cartoon patterns, which the kids absolutely loved The room also provides children's bathing supplies, slippers, and bathrobes. The tables are equipped with corner protectors. There's a chair placed at the entrance of the room for changing shoes, which is a thoughtful touch. There's also a small craft item in the room, not sure if it's a Spring Festival special.
In addition to the family themed room, the hotel's outdoor constant temperature swimming pool is also suitable for children to play in. The hotel pool is divided into a large and a small pool, with the temperature of the small pool reaching 30 degrees. Even in February, children won't feel cold when entering the water and can have a lot of fun.
Of course, there are some areas where the hotel could improve. The room has great natural light when the curtains are open, but when closed or at night, I feel the lighting in the room is a bit dim; the lighting in the family room should be brighter. The shower is located in the center of the room with a fully transparent design, but surprisingly it doesn't use frosted glass and requires a manually pulled screen for privacy, which is quite heavy and inconvenient to use. The hotel doesn't have a family fun park. The pool provides swimming rings, but the large flamingo swimming ring costs 168 yuan for half an hour...
Overall, with the hotel's convenient location, the room's complete children's facilities, and the high-altitude view, I highly recommend staying here. The child didn't want to leave when checking out
