[2024 Hiroshima Attraction] Travel Guide for Shukkeien Garden (Updated Nov)

In our view, this is a must visit when in Hiroshima. We found the gardens delightful and one of the best of its kind in Japan. The gardens are a representation of a landscape presented in miniature. Mounds represent hills, tress that have been meticulously tended via bonsai represent large pines, etc. It is a delightful place to spend an hour or so wandering around and admiring the beauty before strolling on to the more sombre sights nearby. Overall it was very peaceful and beautiful garden in the heart of the city. Though the cityscape is visible around the garden, Shukkei-en Garden offers wonderful vistas that bring peace and tranquility to ones soul. Nicely maintained. #givethanks #givethanks

Visiting Shukkeien Garden was a quiet and beautiful experience. I enjoyed strolling through the garden's stunning scenery, which offered breathtaking views of traditional ponds and bridges 🌿. The Japanese design of the garden, with its delicate details and perfect layout, added a unique aesthetic dimension 🌺. Wandering through the pathways and enjoying the tranquility was relaxing, filling every moment in the park with rest and meditation 🌟. The serene atmosphere and surroundings made the visit an enjoyable and captivating experience 🌄.

I visited the Shukkeien Garden in Hiroshima City, Japan! Shukkeien Garden is located near Hiroshima Station, close enough to walk to. Hiroshima is famous for the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Park, but Shukkeien Garden is also one of the representative attractions of Hiroshima. Shukkeien Garden features a central pond with various islands and is composed of diverse themes. There is an admission fee for the garden, which is well-maintained and offers a variety of themes to experience. There are areas with bamboo, a Sakura street that blooms beautifully during cherry blossom season, and the Meigetsutei, making it a well-organized park. The park is so beautiful that brides and grooms come here to take pictures for traditional Japanese weddings. In fact, when I visited, I saw two couples in traditional Japanese attire taking photos. It is popular among Japanese people and also visited by many foreign tourists. A short walk from Shukkeien Garden is Hiroshima Castle, and visiting both places can give you a sense of the beauty and charm of Hiroshima.
