Here's a tip: bring your visitors to the @soanemuseum instead of the British Museum. This will boggle their minds. I recently took my team to the museum in Lincoln's Inn Fields. John Soane: architect, obsessive collector. The museum: his townhouse and studio, filled (filled!) with Greek, Roman and other artefacts, plus lots of paintings. This place is a must, at least once, but as you can see, it's impossible to take it all in at once. My favourite thing is always his ingenious use of light. I love the nooks lit by skylights, often coloured. There is also a Hogarth series amongst all this. While my colleagues are architects, this stunning place would enthrall anyone. (I have to warn you about it being not fully accessible.) Afterwards, you can rest at the cafe in the middle of Lincoln's Inn Fields, @pear.tree.cafe (lots of terrace seating) or watch people playing tennis. In London, you can see and visit some of his other buildings at @dulwichgallery (that use of light again) and @pitzhanger Manor and Gallery. Also St John Bethnal Green.

As soon as you step into the museum, what catches your eye is a unique spiral staircase designed by a famous architect. It is simple and stylish yet modern. Going up the stairs, the first thing that comes into view is the spacious central exhibition space of the museum. The ceiling is made of thin metal, which makes the room bright and clear. The exhibition area displays various modern art installations, some of which are exaggerated and avant-garde, while others are simple and low-key, which are so unique that they open your eyes. What impressed me most was one of the large sculptures in the museum, "Wing Migration". This six-meter-tall stainless steel sculpture is shaped like a swan with its wings spread. The streamlined mechanical lines and smooth metal material complement each other, giving it a modern and technological feel. Standing under the sculpture and looking up, it seems as if a giant metal bird is about to take off at any time.
