Guiyang | Treasure Youth Hostel: Start a new parent-child travel experience.
📖 When studying, youth hostels are often the first choice for travel due to their high cost performance. This time I came to Guiyang for tourism, and I specially brought my child to experience this unique youth hostel: One Forest Youth Hotel (Guiyang Fountain Square Subway Store).
We stayed in a tatami room with high-definition projection, which is simply a paradise for children. Children can play freely on the tatami, and the unconstrained space allows them to fully release their vitality.
💫 This youth hostel has a variety of facilities, which will surprise you constantly. The public cinema is like a small private cinema, allowing you to immerse yourself in the wonderful world of movies during your leisure time; the billiards entertainment area is full of vitality, whether it is competing with friends or interacting with children, it is full of fun; the VR game area brings a new technology experience, exciting and fun. Apple computer workstations provide convenience for business travelers; the book bar and tea and coffee bar create a peaceful reading and leisure atmosphere. In addition, automatic laundry room, dryer and drying area are fully equipped, solving worries for travelers.
📍 Its geographical location is even more unique, located in the center of Guiyang City, with Fountain Square Subway Station at the door, making travel very convenient. Taking a taxi to Jiaxiu Tower, Qianling Mountain Park and other famous scenic spots takes only ten minutes by car, allowing you to easily check in the beautiful scenery of Guiyang, and take your child to Jiaxiu Tower to take a photo with Zhou Shen.
💥 Key point! There are many snack shops opened by Guiyang locals downstairs, which are economical and delicious! I highly recommend Xiao Auntie's Stewed Chicken Rice, which tastes delicious. There is also Laojiefang Sticky Rice, a box of rice only costs 5 yuan, which tastes even better than Minsheng Road!

Night tour of Guiyang city center Fountain Pool, don't miss Taiping Road Food Street! A good place to walk off dinner in the evening~
Guiyang Fountain Pool, is it just a name without a fountain? Looked for a long time but couldn't find it Actually, the attraction is quite small, it's just a stream, but the water looks quite clean, sitting and cooling off in the evening is nice, reminds me of Cheonggyecheon in Seoul.
Behind Longjing Bridge, there are occasional concerts in the evening, if you're lucky you might catch a performance. You can visit the Fountain Pool and Taiping Road Food Street together, most of the night market stalls come out around eight in the evening, it's quite photogenic 🎥, many girls take pictures This area is a bustling commercial district, with many tourists, friends who like lively places should come!
Taiping Road Food Street, I think it's worth a visit, it's in the form of night market stalls. I've heard of a Guiyang milk tea brand called 'Qu Cha Shan', haven't tried it yet, don't know how it tastes, seems a bit pricey~ Also want to try the thorn pear.
Tips:
Transportation: Metro 🚇 Line 1, Line 2 can reach Fountain Pool Station
Nearby attractions: Jiaxiu Tower, Qianling Mountain Park, North Cathedral, Dongshan Temple, Qingyun Market, etc.

Summary of Three Days of Eating, Drinking, and Playing in Refreshing Guiyang!
Overall Impression
The Guiyang trip has finally come to a perfect end!
1. We actually stayed in Guizhou for 7 days, using Guiyang as the center for day trips to Huangguoshu Waterfall, Libo Xiaoqikong, and Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. We spent the rest of the time resting in Guiyang, so the Guiyang itinerary was relatively relaxed.
2. The food in Guiyang is delicious, but the attractions are not particularly outstanding. We didn't go to Qianling Mountain Park because we are afraid of monkeys. The weather in Guiyang is quite cool, making it suitable for summer vacations. Traveling off-peak is very comfortable.
PS: For strategies on Huangguoshu Waterfall, Libo Xiaoqikong, and Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, you can check my related posts on the homepage. I hope it helps everyone.
Daily Route
1. Arrive in Guiyang at noon - Gui Chu Sour Soup Beef Hotpot (queue in advance) - Jiaxiu Tower - Hotel rest - White House and Twin Towers night view
2. Liu Guang Men Aunt Mao's Glutinous Rice - Guizhou Provincial Museum - Minsheng Street Food Snacks - Hotel rest - Evening casual walk and snacks
3. Old Guiyang Beef Noodles - Huaxi Yelang Valley - Baked Pot - Guizhou Nationalities Museum - Hotel rest
4. Catholic Church - Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital Mooncakes - Note Duo Duo Powder Hotpot (go as soon as it opens or queue in advance) - Hotel rest and return trip
Warm Tips
1. Guiyang buses and subways require pre-recharge on Alipay, and the balance can be refunded. I used Cloud QuickPass directly. Buses and subways share one QR code, but you need to bind a bank card.
2. Guiyang has many underground passages, and you might not find the exit direction. Pay attention to navigation. Few underground passages have escalators or elevators.
3. Accommodation is at the Fountain Pool, about a 15-20 minute walk from Minsheng Street Food Street. It is recommended to stay near a subway station. Subway Line 1 connects Guiyang North Station and Guiyang Station, suitable for sisters who need high-speed rail travel.
4. The Guizhou Provincial Museum can be reserved on the same day during the off-season. There are free explanations at 9:30 and 14:00, lasting 2 hours, covering the 1st to 3rd floor exhibition halls. It is worth it. You can rent audio guides and paid manual explanations, which can be consulted at the service desk.
5. Huaxi Yelang Valley is more fun and photogenic than expected. The tour time is 1-2 hours. Go early to avoid crowds. There will be a Nuo opera performance at 12 o'clock.
6. Wenchang Pavilion is currently under maintenance and not open. Don't make a wasted trip.
7. Liu Guang Men Aunt Mao's Glutinous Rice can be reserved on WeChat one day in advance or queued on-site. We queued on-site at around 7:20 and waited for about 15 minutes. It is recommended to go early.
8. Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital Mooncakes can be purchased inside the staff canteen from the north gate without queuing. There is SF Express at the entrance.
Food Recommendations
All Guiyang food is delicious and not disappointing.
Recommended: Gui Chu Sour Soup Beef Hotpot > Note Duo Duo Powder Hotpot, Guai Lu Rice, Liu Guang Men Aunt Mao's Glutinous Rice, Yu Niang Niang Crispy Potatoes, Si Wa Wa, Ice Slurry, Chang Wang Noodles, Shan Hua Yogurt (ice cream is delicious)
Average: Broken Crisp Bun, Bowl Cake, Crispy Rice Cake, Rice Cake Porridge, Dan Jia Fragrant Crispy Duck

Recommended accommodation for traveling in Guiyang!
Where is the most convenient place to stay when traveling in Guiyang?
I have tried it for you!
I think staying near the Fountain Pool is the best.
This is the hub station for Metro Lines 1 and 2. You can travel on Line 1 or Line 2. There are also many bus routes passing through here, making it very convenient to travel.
Near the subway entrance is a food street with many dining options, including local snacks and famous dishes. The variety is very inclusive, with dishes from both the north and south. In the evening, there are night market snacks and tea. Everything you need is here to meet all your needs. It is only two kilometers from Jiaxiu Tower, just three bus stops away. It is very convenient to travel. The brand new Taiping Road is beautifully lit!
Nearby, there are budget hotels like Home Inn, and youth hostels like Liker Friends. There are many hotels and inns of various sizes. You can choose according to your budget.
Highly recommend staying here.

In Guiyang!!! Just checked out!!! Will come again next time!!
In Guiyang!!! Just checked out!!! Will come again next time!! It's so convenient! The environment is also very good! Came with friends to experience a trial stay at Liyi Hotel and was highly praised by friends!
It's worth crying for! Right in the city center of Guiyang! Such a central location at the Fountain!
Taiping Road internet-famous check-in point, Monkey, this place has convenient transportation with buses and metro lines 1 and 2.
Also, the hotel's service facilities are particularly good. If you forget to bring your ID card, you can use intelligent entry~
I really like the room type I stayed in!!!
It has a great sense of design~ The space is ample, not crowded, with independent room partitions, wide window views, and separate wet and dry areas... The key point is the bed is so soft and comfortable.
And!! Because it's newly opened, it's clean and refreshing. Right in the city center, under the Fountain, there are places to eat, shopping malls, and delivery is super fast.
Breakfast also has Guizhou specialty noodles, really satisfied.
Choosing this place for a trip to Guiyang won't go wrong!!!

Guiyang|A city perfect for city walks
Guiyang at 26 degrees feels refreshingly cool, making it an ideal summer retreat! Spent two days mainly strolling around the city center, and here are a few walking routes to share with everyone!
Accommodation: Chose a hotel near the Fountain Pool, mainly for the convenience of shopping, but the price is relatively higher. You can compare and choose on different platforms.
Route 1: Wenchang Pavilion ➡️ Radio Alley ➡️ North Provincial Government Road ➡️ Yuantong Street ➡️ Jiaxiu Tower ➡️ Qingyun Market
The hotel is near Wenchang Pavilion, just a five-minute walk away.
Walking along Radio Alley from Wenchang Pavilion, there are many cultural and creative shops and cafes. It's very relaxing to walk, stop, and take photos.
From Yuantong Road to Jiaxiu Tower, as a famous scenic spot in Guiyang, it's worth a visit. I've heard the night view is beautiful, so if you have the chance, arrange some time to see it.
Qingyun Market is really great for strolling, with cultural and creative shops and specialty food. Be sure to leave enough time to explore from afternoon to evening.
Route 2:
Guizhou Provincial Museum ➡️ Fanhuari Outlets ➡️ Xiputuo Temple
This route is relatively farther, but to understand the local culture, it's recommended to visit the Provincial Museum. It's a ten-minute walk from the museum to Fanhuari Outlets, which has a few photo spots (you can locate the Freeman Cinema), but it's not worth a special trip as there are only two or three spots. The nearby Xiputuo Temple is also worth a visit.
Route 3: Xinyin 1950 ➡️ Shidong Alley ➡️ Taiping Road Internet-famous Street
Xinyin 1950 is a new cultural and creative district, with related historical introductions about Guiyang.
It's just a few minutes to the Catholic Church.
Shidong Alley is a graffiti street, a very interesting little alley.
Taiping Road Internet-famous Street is indeed popular, with bars, restaurants, cultural and creative shops, and some cute coffee carts. It's a great place to stroll around.

This hotel in Guiyang has already reached the next level
This hotel in Guiyang has already reached the next level...
The location is right in the Guiyang Fountain Plaza business district, at the Taiping intersection. It's just a 2-minute walk to the subway entrance, and it's very close to Taiping Road, Minsheng Road, Qingyun Market, Huaguoyuan, and Qianling Mountain Park!! It's very convenient to go anywhere~
The hotel rooms are designed to be simple and high-end, and you can even see the fountain, the night view of Taiping Road, and the rooms have large windows with great lighting. The facilities are complete, and there are a variety of room types to choose from.
The hotel also includes a buffet breakfast with dozens of meal options to choose from, and the lobby even provides free tea and snacks... It's a super comfortable accommodation experience, really worth it!!

Vintage clothing enthusiasts gather‼️ at the vintage clothing store hidden in the fountain pool.
This vintage store really opened my eyes.
A room full of vintage clothes.
Clothing👗, bags👛, shoes👠, scarves🧣, accessories💍, hats🎩, dolls🧸, etc...
There are many types and styles are also very abundant.
Each piece is full of retro style.
I really like the things here, they are of great quality and have so much story behind them!
It's no wonder that it's a vintage store that has been open for 5️⃣ years.
It's like strolling through a market here.
Really can find a lot of treasures.
The key is that the clothes are not expensive.
Physical stores sell coats for thousands, but here you can take one for a few hundred.
Affordable and easy to shop 💕
After a tiring stroll, you can sit in the shop and have a cup of coffee ☕️.
