The Church of the Savior on Blood in St. Petersburg, Russia, at the end of August. Unlike other cathedrals that are brightly lit and splendid, it was very dark and calm. Maybe it was because the weather outside was cloudy, but it seemed dark even on normal days. This cathedral seems to be an icon in St. Petersburg, because I often saw the sun pattern. I think it would be nice if our country had more open cathedrals and churches like this. Whether you are a believer or not, you can stop by and rest your body and mind. #SummerCapture #MustSeeHistoricalPlaces

Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. After the city was built in the 18th century, the Winter Palace was built as the Tsar's Palace. It was severely damaged during World War II, but the collection was transferred. The October Revolution cruiser Affoll shelled the Winter Palace, and Tsar Nicholas II gave up the throne and left the Winter Palace. Currently the National Museum.

If you’re in St. Petersburg, a visit to The Dalí Museum is an absolute must for art lovers, especially if you’re intrigued by surrealism and abstract expression. Located at 1 Dali Blvd, St. Petersburg, FL, the museum is globally recognized for its extensive collection of Salvador Dalí’s works—one of the largest outside Europe.
Upon entering the exhibition hall, you'll be instantly drawn to the museum's unique architecture, including the “Enigma” glass structure that bathes the space in natural light. As you wander through, make your way to a striking abstract painting: suspended on the wall, it features a somewhat enigmatic human face surrounded by swirling abstract patterns, a testament to Dalí’s ability to fuse dreamlike states with intricate detail. The painting invites different interpretations—stand before it for a moment and let your imagination explore the symbolic layers, whether they represent the subconscious, emotion, or something entirely personal to you.
Stroll through the galleries to find more of Dalí’s iconic surrealist masterpieces—melting clocks, double images, and his famed explorations of subconscious thoughts. The museum frequently rotates highlights from its collection, so you never know what fascinating artwork you'll encounter next.
Practical Info:
The Dalí Museum is open year-round. Visit between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM (Monday–Wednesday & Friday–Sunday), or enjoy an evening visit until 8:00 PM on Thursdays. Admission is $221.0 and includes access to all galleries. The museum also has a lovely garden on the waterfront and a café offering Spanish-inspired bites—perfect for a relaxing break.
Tips:
- Photos are allowed in most areas, but check for any signage before snapping your shot of the abstract painting.
- Arrive early for the most tranquil experience, especially if you want to appreciate the works away from crowds.
- Consider using the audio guide (available for an additional fee) for deeper insights into Dalí’s techniques and the stories behind his paintings.
Don’t forget to step outside and enjoy the waterfront views behind the museum—a perfect spot to reflect on the abstract and surreal. Whether you’re an art novice or a long-time Dalí fan, this museum will offer a captivating creative escape in St. Petersburg.

Girls who love playing in water should go to Tampa!
1) Silver Springs Kayaking
We bought tickets with a guide on the official website and were lucky enough to rent a transparent boat. The guide was very nice and took us to areas with more crocodiles and manatees. We saw about 3-4 manatees and crocodiles throughout the trip.
2) Cponies Beach Horseback Ride
These are rescue horses. They are super obedient! Before getting on the horse, the guide will give a 15-minute safety class. Then, they will choose the horse based on your experience and requirements. After that, you have an hour to swim and take pictures with the horses. The guide is always filming. We spent 25$ buying the photos.
3) Little Toot Dolphin Adventure
This small boat is really great! When the guide sees dolphins nearby, they will deliberately create big waves to attract the dolphins over! She said that if we shouted together, the dolphins would be excited because they felt our excitement. And this method really worked. Several dolphins followed us while swimming and even performed a high jump for us. 4) Sunken Gardens
After watching the dolphins, let's go to the Sunken Gardens to see the ostriches! The garden is not very large, but the photos are still quite nice. Regarding the animals, apart from the ostriches, there are also some cute little parrots. There is even a small wedding venue inside.

🚗 Tampa Travel & Food Guide (Rental Car Edition)
ampa’s attractions are spread out, but they can be grouped into three main areas. Tackle one area per day for a relaxed, unrushed trip ✨
📅 Day 1: Flamingos, Museum & America’s Prettiest Beach
This route is about a 1-hour drive from downtown Tampa—plan to spend the whole day here to avoid backtracking.
- Sunken Garden 🦩
Get up close and personal with flamingos! I even got to feed and touch them for the first time, their soft feathers were so lovely. Most animals in the zoo are free-roaming, making it feel like a wild, intimate forest.
- Ringling Museum 🏰
Known as “Florida’s Most Beautiful Museum,” it’s actually a park with a collection of historic buildings. The highlight is the waterfront medieval mansion built by a theater tycoon, filled with romantic, vintage decor and warm tones.
💡 Students: Don’t forget your ID for discounted tickets!
- Siesta Key Beach 🌊
Officially certified as “America’s Best Beach” (there’s a sign to prove it!). Less crowded and commercial than Clearwater Beach, plus parking is free 🆓.
The sand is as fine as powder—soft, cool, and completely non-sticky. Walking barefoot all day is a dream.
📅 Day 2: Weeki Wachee Springs Kayaking 🛶
Highly recommended! This takes most of the day and is a 1.5-hour drive from downtown Tampa.
- Rental boat options are a bit complex—just Google “Weeki Wachee kayak rentals” to find the 2-3 local operators (they’re all similar).
- ⚠️ Go before noon! The sun is scorching from midday to afternoon, and you’ll get sunburned quickly.
📅 Day 3: Downtown Tampa + Clearwater Beach Sunset
A laid-back day to wander and unwind.
- Downtown Tampa 🛍️
Explore hidden gems and local eateries at your own pace.
- Clearwater Beach 🌅
Head there in the afternoon for sunset—if you’re lucky, you might spot wild dolphins playing in the waves 🐬
🍤 Food Highlights (Local Favorites)
- Walt’s Fish Market and Restaurant
A hidden gem near
A hidden gem near Siesta Key Beach, loved by locals but not touristy. Fresh, affordable seafood that’s a must-try.
- Sushi Yama
A popular all-you-can-eat sushi spot on the drive back from Weeki Wachee. Just $30 per person for unlimited sushi—unbeatable value 🍣

CC’s Footprints on the way
Here’s my laid-back travel diary from a recent city stay—sharing the good, the quirky, and the useful so your next trip’s smoother 🚦✨
Top Spots to Visit:
1. Start at the city’s historic centerpiece—easy to find, hard to forget! (Pro tip: get there early to skip lines and enjoy some quiet moments before the crowds roll in.)
2. Wander through the vibrant downtown where you’ll find buzzy coffee shops, street art, and local eats all within walking distance. I grabbed breakfast at a spot open from 7am—super convenient for early risers!
3. Check out the riverfront walk—gorgeous in the afternoon. There’s benches, shade, and plenty of selfie ops. Stay until sunset for those golden hour vibes!
4. Duck into a quirky museum nearby with surprisingly cool exhibits (open most days until 5pm). Perfect for when you need a break or have a rainy afternoon.
5. For dinner, don’t miss the bustling market just east of the central plaza. Loads of stalls with everything from grilled skewers to vegan snacks.
Where I Stayed:
My hotel was fair for the price—safe enough, well-serviced, but honestly, if you’ve got options, choose somewhere a bit more lively or closer to the attractions for a better vibe and less walking. Book ahead to snag a spot in the best districts!
Getting Around:
Public transit is reliable, especially the main metro lines (run until midnight). Download a local transport app for real-time updates, and grab a prepaid metro card to skip ticket queues.
Food Fix:
My ultimate tip: Hit up early breakfast spots downtown and grab street food for lunch. The market near the plaza is unbeatable for dinner variety—go hungry!
Travel Tips:
If possible, stay closer to the main sights for easier access. Bring a refillable water bottle, and cash in small denominations; some market vendors don’t accept cards.

Visiting St. Petersburg in the fall was a fascinating experience. Known for its beautiful canals and magnificent architecture, the city sparkles with autumn colors as the trees turn warm shades of red and gold.
I enjoyed walking through the summer gardens, where nature is at its most beautiful. The atmosphere was peaceful and I felt at peace as I walked along the paths decorated with fallen leaves.
Visiting museums like the Hermitage was a great cultural experience. The historical art and artifacts were breathtaking and added depth to the visit.
In addition, we had lunch at a local restaurant, where the traditional Russian cuisine was delicious, even in the cold weather.
St. Petersburg in the fall is an amazing city where history and natural beauty combine to create an unforgettable experience. 🏰🌳

St.Petersburg Imperial Elegance & Culture
St. Petersburg, a city of imperial splendor and cultural richness, boasts breathtaking architecture, exemplified by the Winter Palace and the iconic Hermitage Museum. The elegant canals evoke a European charm, and the White Nights during summer create a magical atmosphere. The cultural scene, from the Mariinsky Theatre to the State Russian Museum, is nothing short of enchanting. However, the language barrier can be a hurdle. Despite this, St. Petersburg's beauty, historic charm, and artistic vibrancy make it a must-visit destination. 🏰🌃🎭 #StPetersburgElegance #2024wish

The Dalí (Salvador Dalí Museum)
An amazing attraction if you love surrealism. The building is beautifully designed. The facility itself is grand. But before you go be certain to download the museum specific app for your smart phone, otherwise you'll be missing out on quite a lot of content and context. The app allows you to do your tour with audio.
It was amazing to see so many pieces and get a true understanding of his genius and talent. All of the artwork is up on the third floor. The entire first floor is a café and a gift shop. In fact, the gift shop is almost larger than the displayed artworks.
The Salvador Dali Museum is a captivating and surreal experience, showcasing the genius of the renowned artist. A must visit for anyone in the area.
