Checking in at Sun Ke Villa on a rainy day
There are three famous historical preservation buildings in the Shangsheng New Cultural and Creative Park. The first is the former Columbia Country Club, the second is the former Navy Club, and the third is Sun Ke Villa. This makes it not only a celebrity residence, but also a space for art and cultural exchanges. Sun Ke Villa is also designed by Wudak, blending nearly 5 styles, such as red brick tiles, gentle roofs are Spanish style; variable window frames are Baroque style, with flat arches, round arches; pointed arches are quite Islamic; the chimney on the roof is Italian Renaissance style... These different architectural styles are perfectly combined on the same building. The building has two floors, and currently the first floor and outdoor garden are temporarily open for ticketed visitors. It feels inconvenient to visit indoors on rainy days, so just look outside, and come back to patronize when there are interesting exhibitions in the future, to appreciate the extraordinary design of Wudak.

Wudak Classic Works|Sun Ke Villa (568)
|Sun Ke Villa (568). Sun Ke Villa, at the turn of the 20th and 30th centuries, when Wudak designed and built the Mur Hall, Sun Ke extended a helping hand to solve the funding problem. As a return, Wudak transferred the villa originally designed and lived by himself to Sun Ke at a very low price. The villa was built in 1931. It is a mixed building that combines various styles such as Spanish and Italian Renaissance. It was designed by Wudak, a Slovak-Hungarian architect. As one of the representative works of Wudak's garden residential design, it, together with the Columbia Country Club, the Navy Club and other 3 historical preservation buildings, as well as 11 industrial transformation buildings, together constitute the Shangsheng·Xinso Cultural and Creative Park.

Magic City's Old Building - Sun Ke Villa
Sun Ke Villa, located at No. 60, Fanyu Road, Changning District, Shanghai, covers an area of about 8000 square meters and has a building area of 1051 square meters. It was once the former residence of Sun Ke, the son of Mr. Sun Yat-sen.
This building is a classic work designed by the famous architect Wudac in Shanghai in 1931. The main building is Spanish-style, with Baroque style, the chimney on the top of the fireplace is like the Italian Renaissance practice, the exterior wall facade is simple and clear, and it also has the style of Western modernist architecture. The front of the main building is a Chinese-style courtyard. The building was originally an independent garden house designed and built by Wudac for himself. Later, due to Wudac's financial difficulties in undertaking the construction of the Mur Hall, he sold this villa to Sun Ke at a low price. In March 1949, before Sun Ke left the mainland for Hong Kong, he sold this villa again. It was later used as an administrative office building by the Shanghai Biological Products Research Institute for a long time.
In 1989, Sun Ke Villa was listed as an excellent historical building in Shanghai.
