Inclined and Panoramic views
Grand Taipa Viewing Platform offers a panoramic view overlooking the Taipa village and Cotai strip is really amazing! All the magnificent hotels - wow! We walked there from Sheraton Grand Macau hotel which take approximately 20 mins and went up via the Taipa Grande Hill Inclined Lift from Estrada Gov. Nobre de Carvalho. This lift runs from 6am to 8pm daily. My boy love it and elders doesn’t have to walk up the hill.

Taipa Mountain 2000 Ring Trail
#yearofrabbit #newyearadventure #tripblazers Xiaotan Mountain 2000 Ring Trail: Xiaotan Mountain, also known as Puti Mountain, is named after the Bodhi Temple. It is 112 meters above sea level and is located in the west of Taipa Island. Taipa Island is located at the estuary of the Pearl River. It was originally composed of three small islands: Guanyin Mountain, Jijing Mountain and Xiaotan Mountain. Tanshan was also connected to Taipa Island today through artificial reclamation in the early 19th century.
This trail was opened to the public in 1999, with a total length of about 2,300 meters. In order to celebrate the year 2000 with the citizens of Macao, it is specially named Xiaotan Mountain 2000 Ring Trail. This meandering and smooth path is the most spacious among the many walking paths on the outlying islands. Walking along the path, you can have a panoramic view of the Macau Peninsula and the outlying islands from far to near. There are also fitness facilities with different functions for tourists to use. If you feel tired, you can enter the green grassy rest area to rest or continue activities in the children's play area. Therefore, it is the most suitable place for families to visit the nature together.

Shopping at Taipa Old Village
As the 2023 Chinese New Year approaches, and since the opening of Macau borders for everyone you will clearly notice the large numbers of tourists arriving and visiting the country. I had my shopping in Taipa Old Village last Monday and got overwhelmed with the numbers of people at the area. You will clearly see everyone enjoying shopping and eating with different food stalls.
Indeed Macau is now back to normal, it gave me the 2019 feels.
I also enjoy roaming around and discovering new shops and restaurants in Taipa Old Village.
Be sure to visit the Taipa Old Village once you visit Macau. :)

Cotai strip Taipa
#fallingforfall #tripblazers #fallingforfall #mytripvlog #campingglamping #summervacation #awesomepic over the past decade, the layout of the Cotai Strip has also slowly developed into a grid-like layout with major hotels and casinos such as Galaxy Macau, MGM Cotai, and Wynn Palace, not directly connected to the 'strip' as opposed to Las Vegas Strip with the majority of major hotels and casinos with front access to the strip.
The United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted Las Vegas Sands Corporation a trademark on the term "Cotai Strip".

Grande Trail is about 4000 metres long, located in the Taipa Grande Natural Park on the eastern side of the Taipa Island, featuring a broad trail on walker-friendly slopes with views rich in ecological, educational and esthetical values. Its suitability for recreation and fitness makes it favourable for family and student outings in nature. One stretch of the trail is known as the Fitness Steps Walk, or Stairway to the Peak, as it ascends a steep hill ridge leading to its peak about 159.2 metres above sea level, the highest point in Taipa. it's a natural beautiful place.

Miradouro Da Taipa Grande
Miradouro da Taipa Grande (Taipa Viewing Platform) was opened in 2014 providing a large scale and elevated observation deck on the mountainside just east of Taipa Village. From here visitors are afforded excellent views of the village as well as the mega hotel and casinos that have been built along the Cotai Strip over the past decade.
The Viewing Platform is open 24 hours a day and can be reached by way of a short but steep walk up the mountainside from Estrada Gov. Nobre de Carvalho where you find the original trailhead for the Taipa Grande Trail. Alternatively, you can simply use the free Inclined Elevator just a few metres away. The lift is open from 6am to 8pm daily.
This is a great spot for panoramic views of both Taipa and Cotai. And these views continue to improve year by year as the surrounding area is more comprehensively developed. You can take good landscape photos from this location throughout the day, particularly when sky conditions are favourable. There is also open area for children to play, nice landscaping and manicured plants as well as a curved seated area that is shaded, allowing you to get out of the sun on hot and bright days.
From the Viewing Platform, you can also begin the Taipa Grande Trail, a circular 4km loop trail that passes through the Taipa Grande National Park and eventually returns to this location.
In the end, the Taipa Viewing Platform has become a quality place to visit near the village. It is one of those places still not covered by the MGTO and most other tourist material covering Macau but really should be.#passionpassport #staycation #gooutside #beachlife

Macau Guide (with many pictures and words)
🎈 Macau, a magical place, some say it's all about glitz and glamour, some say it's a food paradise, others say it's a place for exploring cultural history, and now even more people say it's the best spot for social media check-ins!
🎈 What exactly is Macau? It all depends on your purpose and mood, there might be a thousand different Macaus for a thousand people!
🎈 Macau is roughly divided into two parts: the Macau Peninsula and Taipa Island. The Macau Peninsula is connected to the mainland of Zhuhai, and you can get there by crossing the border at Gongbei in Zhuhai, which is also the old town area of Macau, with many old buildings just like the old town areas of our small county towns. The main attractions of the Macau Peninsula are:
1. Ruins of St. Paul's (including the area around the fountain and Portuguese-style buildings), which needs no introduction as it's a landmark of Macau; it's great for check-ins, and there are many souvenir shops along the Portuguese-style street where you can taste to your heart's content;
2. Mount Fortress (right next to the Ruins of St. Paul's)
3. Lotus Square (celebrating Macau's handover)
4. Hotels: old and new Lisboa, Wynn, Landmark Plaza, etc.
5. Macau Tower (180 meters high, the tenth tallest in the world, with skywalk and bungee jumping activities)
6. New Yaohan (shopping)
🎈 Taipa Island is mainly made up of reclaimed land, and most of the current popular social media check-in spots are concentrated here:
1. The Londoner (London's Big Ben and luxurious hotels)
2. The Parisian (Eiffel Tower, luxurious hotels, and shopping mall)
3. The Venetian (indoor Venetian Water City on the second floor, luxurious hotels, and shopping mall)
4. Wynn Palace (free cable car with music fountain and luxurious hotels)
5. Studio City (figure-eight Ferris wheel and luxurious hotels)
6. MGM (Pansy Ho's love story-themed luxurious hotel)
7. Galaxy (the largest hotel in Asia with 8000 rooms)
8. Morpheus (luxurious hotel of the Ho family's younger generation)
🎈 Tips:
1. Border crossing: The time it takes to cross the border from Gongbei in Zhuhai has been greatly reduced, and it can generally be done in about 30 minutes;
2. Transportation: After crossing the border, there are many 'fortune buses' (free hotel shuttles) available, and you generally don't need to spend extra money; taking a taxi is more expensive (starting at least at 100)
3. Internet: Hotels generally have free wifi, but there's hardly any when shopping, so it's recommended to buy a Hong Kong-Macau data card on tb (plug and play, each card costs less than 10 yuan and can be used for two days);
4. Food: There are many snack shops and grocery stores on the streets of the Macau Peninsula, while on Taipa Island, they are mainly concentrated around Rua do Cunha;
5. Social media check-in spots: various hotels (luxurious buildings and performances)
6. Cultural architecture and quaint check-in spots: near the Ruins of St. Paul's (Macau Peninsula), Rua do Cunha (Taipa Island)
7. Payment: Most shops support mobile payments, but it's recommended to have some cash on hand (there are many exchange points and ATMs at the border), and bring more if you plan to play elsewhere.

Macau Travel | The Ultimate Local Guide to Exploring Taipa Village
| The Ultimate Local Guide to Exploring Taipa Village. - Taipa is located in the narrow area between the Macau Peninsula and Cotai. Before Cotai was reclaimed from the sea, Taipa was actually a separate island and home to many local residents of Macau.
- To truly experience the life of local Macanese and discover more niche attractions and activities, Taipa is an area you need to spend time exploring in detail.
✔️Taipa Houses-Museum
A residential-style museum dedicated to cultural heritage, consisting of five Portuguese-style buildings: the Macanese House, the Island House, the Portuguese House, the Exhibition Gallery, and the Reception House. You can get a feel for Macau's Portuguese culture, and the exterior walls are also very photogenic.
✔️Our Lady of Carmel Church
The only Catholic church in Taipa, with a beige three-story building facade. Although it lacks lavish decorations, it exudes a sense of solemnity. There are many photo spots outside its doors, suitable for photography.
✔️Taipa Grande Nature Park
One of the few nature parks in Macau suitable for hiking and relaxation. A half-hour walk will easily take you up the mountain, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Macau's coastal prosperity.
✔️Our Lady of Hope Bay
A leisure bay between the Taipa Houses-Museum and Cotai, where the strong contrast between modern architecture and traditional natural plants can be felt along the way.
✔️Taipa Pequena Nature Park
The northern area is a seaside cycling greenway beloved by locals, where you can admire the modern cityscape of the Macau Peninsula across the water, and in the evening, you can wait for a beautiful sunset here.
✔️Rua do Cunha
A bustling commercial street on Taipa Island, with everything from souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes, to bars. Many cultural and artistic contents are presented here, and you can also taste many local Macau specialties.
🍽️Specialty Cuisine
☑Shang Huang Hui Roast Meat Craftsman: Selects high-grade Kyoto Wagyu beef, which is fresh, cost-effective, has a strong atmosphere, and is a highly recommended Kyoto Wagyu barbecue restaurant.
☑Kam Lei Food Shop: The curry chicken rice noodles have a very flavorful and rich sauce that will make you want to come back for more.
☑Sun Mou Ngai Kwong Fuk Chiu Chow Noodle Cuisine: Special oyster and minced pork guandiao, the soup is exceptionally fresh.
☑Aurora Italian Restaurant: Selected by Forbes Five Star, with a strong atmosphere, and highly recommended for pizza, steak, and more.
☑Sai Kei Coffee: Very traditional charcoal-roasted clay pot coffee, with a rich aroma of coffee.
🚇Transportation Tips
☑For those staying in Cotai, you can walk along the Cotai Connection Road for 20-30 minutes to get there, or take a taxi for about 10 minutes.
☑For those staying on the Macau Peninsula, you can take a bus from Praca de Amizade or take a taxi for about 20 minutes to get there.

Coloane, Macau—The last piece of tranquility
Coloane is known as the last piece of tranquility in Macau.
Compared to the bustling and lively Peninsula, it has a different kind of serene beauty.
Coloane was originally a fishing village inhabited by many fishermen. The environment is quiet, with mountains behind and the sea in front, offering a beautiful view at every step.
The Seac Pai Van Park nearby offers free admission to see giant pandas, so you can avoid the crowds at the base~🐼
The Venetian and the Taipa Houses-Museum are places on Taipa Island that are worth visiting.
The Ruins of St. Paul's are crowded during the summer holidays, so try to go early if you're visiting!

【Taipa Old Town | Fine Raw Beef Vietnam River 🍜 Cafe Hanoi 】
💕 Found a new Vietnamese cafe after passing through Taipa Old Town
Two-sided shutters design very Southeast Asian vacation feel
Mainly Vietnamese beef noodles and coconut coffee sand hail
Also available are cocktails, beer, etc.
Friday and Saturday night and have a drink with friends 🍹
🔻Superclass Vietnamese beef river noodles 🐮
The owner loves Vietnamese culture and makes a special visit to the local area to learn lessons
Researching out PHO for the local population 🍜
After hours of cooking no MSG soup foundation
Drink every bite of the fresh beef flavor
Ingredients have two large pieces of raw beef, beef, beef balls, sprouts, etc. 🥩
Semi-cooked beef very fresh and rich
The flavor is more prominent with the feed.
🔻Coconut coffee sand ice 🌴
Tried the signature coconut coffee sand hail on drinks
Thick coconut fragrance awakens the feeling of traveling in Vietnam again
And the overall taste is not too sweet
Drinking sand ice is really a race against time
It's melting fast. I recommend drinking it as soon as possible ⏳

Four Faced Buddhist Temple Taipa Macao
#celebratewithtrip. #2023travelwish #campingglamping #mytripvlog #tripblazers #awesomepic.
An interesting thing to see in Taipa is the Four Faced Buddha monument located in the pedestrian area straddled by Estrada Governor Albano de Oliveira in Taipa Village. It is just in front of the Grandview Hotel and across the street from the Macau Jockey Club building.
What you find here is a Thai style shrine that is an open structure covered by an ornamental multi-tiered roof. In the centre is resting a gilded Buddha figure with four faces, one looking in each direction. At the corners of the square shaped monument are golden elephants. Other decorative elements of the monument can be viewed well from all sides.

"Mama Monument" - Snapshots of Macau's Streets
Macao is located on the coast of the South China Sea, 40 nautical miles away from Hong Kong. It consists of the Macao Peninsula, Taipa, Coloane, and the reclaimed area of Cotai, with a land area of 32.9 square kilometers and a population of about 680,000. Macao has been a part of China's territory since ancient times. In the 32nd year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty (1553), the Portuguese were allowed to anchor their ships at the Macao port for trade by bribing local officials in Guangdong. In the 36th year of the Jiajing reign (1557), the Portuguese entered and settled in Macao. In the 20th year of the Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (1840), after the Opium War, the Portuguese took advantage of the Qing government's defeat and successively occupied the Taipa and Coloane islands in the south of Macao. From June 1986 to March 1987, the Chinese and Portuguese governments' delegations reached an agreement after four rounds of talks and officially signed the Joint Declaration on the Question of Macao in Beijing on April 13, 1987. On December 20, 1999, China resumed the exercise of sovereignty over Macao, and the Macao Special Administrative Region was officially established. Due to its unique geographical location and historical background, Macao has formed a parallel culture of coexisting Chinese culture with profound traditional connotations and Western culture with Portuguese characteristics. If you like to visit historical and cultural sites, you can go to the old city area of the Macao Peninsula. If you want to experience the modern and bustling atmosphere of Macao, Taipa and Coloane islands are good choices.
