TPE Airport
We flew in and out of Taipei Taoyuan Airport (TPE) to visit Taiwan. The international terminal is very convenient and has lots of shops and food venues. We noticed that Taiwan loves Sanrio characters, and the airport also had several cute Sanrio shops. There were also several stores selling famous Taiwan snacks and souvenirs. Small rest areas and art galleries are scattered around the terminal as well to help travelers pass the time.

Starlux A350 Business Class fun
#wecreate
The highlight of the trip! ❤️
With a J cabin so pretty, it is no wonder Starlux’s business class has garnered such rave reviews 🍀
The classy brown / black tones of the seat was such a delight for the almost 4-hour flight - fancy seat functions, electronic window, plenty storage space, zero gravity position, and of course fantastic headphones ✌🏻
The beef short ribs char siu is one of the best business class meals I’ve ever had in my life - I want to eat it again! Coupled with 4 servings of the Baileys Martini, the meal was memorable for sure. Especially when I knocked out for 30mins thereafter heh 🤣
Service was fantastic served up by the youthful crew and there was no sense of hurried service anywhere despite it being a full cabin. Kudos to the team for being prompt and polite to a fault 🎊
This marks the end of my Starlux-ury hop and I’m so glad I did it ✈️

Starlux Galactic Lounge chillax
#wecreate
Ah, STARLUX’S flagship lounge! 🔥
I almost didn’t get to experience this as I was given an invitation to Plaza Premium at check in and informed that the reason was because the airline was expecting full house. But I decided to chiong as fast as I can to beat the crowd anyways! 😂
So glad I did!
The shimmering brown tones of the lounge was such a welcome respite from the airport madness and I was ushered into peace and tranquility by the smiley staff who offered the on-demand breakfast menu 🍲
The lounge itself is not big and I was able to get some nice shots being the first pax at 545am. Solo seats and communal options were available, with a TV and magazine selection for those who need the distraction. 📺
Food wise, a small buffet selection is available with the usual breakfast-y stuff but the highlight is the on-demand menu! I tried both the speciality ramen (very salty leh) and soy bean set (not bad la) just to check them off. ✌🏻
Service was all smiley efficiency by the youthful team and soiled items were cleared fairly quickly as well 🍀
The space filled up quickly thereafter so please come early if you can to snag a spot! 🎊

Neat and efficient airport
Taoyuan Airport is most likely the first port of entry if you are arriving in Taiwan.
This airport is very efficient and easy for transit as well as for arriving passengers. Do note that you need to fill up the arrival card before queuing up at the immigration line. The line can get long if there are many flights arriving at the same time.
What I like about this airport is its connection to Taipei city via Airport MRT. For 150 NT, you can get a comfortable ride to town.

Flying to Taiwan: Aerial Beauty
Sitting on the plane, I looked out the window and the scene before me unfolded like a grand painting.
In the sky, the clouds resembled rolling mountains, sometimes like fluffy cotton floating gently above the blue sky, and sometimes like heavy mountain ranges, layered and casting mysterious shadows. As the plane flew by, the clouds spread out beneath us, as if we were flying over an endless snowy field, with every detail filled with tranquility and peace.
The sunset's rays danced among the clouds, with golden hues like a painter's carefully mixed colors, adorning the space between heaven and earth. As the plane continued its journey, the sunlight slowly glided over the clouds, as if bidding us farewell. The light traced golden edges along the clouds, painting the horizon red and coloring my thoughts.
As the plane gradually descended, Taiwan's mountains and coastline came into view. In the distance, the ocean met the sky, separated only by a faint gray-blue line. At this moment, the afterglow of the sunset sprinkled over the sea, shimmering like countless twinkling diamonds gently swaying.
Looking at this scenery, my mood calmed down. The brief flight felt like a spiritual cleansing. The sky and earth, light and shadow, all merged into one in an instant, creating an indescribable beauty. The plane was about to arrive in Taiwan, but this aerial journey would leave an indelible mark in my heart forever.

Fly Starlux!!
I recently flew with Starlux and it was a fantastic experience. The safety briefing video caught my attention with its catchy animations, making the usual routine both fun and engaging. The food on board was amazing, a pleasant surprise compared to typical airline fare. On my flight to Taipei, I was also impressed by their specialty Starlux drinks, unique cocktails that added a special touch to the journey. Overall, my experience with Starlux was excellent, and I highly recommend trying it if you get the chance!

MY TRIP VLOG
Here i am, Taiwan.
Plathips Gwen
Farewell, Taiwan. Until we meet again.
From Singapore's shores to Taiwan's embrace,
Five days and nights of boundless grace.
Now, four days more on land so sweet,
Memories made in every street.
Homeward bound, the journey's end,
To Malaysia, our hearts we send.
In skies we soar, our spirits light,
Till we return, good night, good night.#taipei #Taipei_airport

EvA Royal Laurel Class experience
A exciting end to my trip ✈️
Royal Laurel Class is EVA’s business class and although not as new as their A330, the experience is more than decent for a 4.5hr flight 🍀
Snagging a bulkhead window seat in the mini cabin was a bonus for privacy and the aged seat was well maintained without any technical faults. The earphones and slippers were high quality but too bad no amenity kit on this short flight. 🥹
F&B was a mixed bag as lukewarm champagne was served, and my choice of beef fillet came too rare for me (the crew said the cut was too thick). Apologies accepted and I requested for the halibut as a replacement - delicious! 🐠
Service was great and somewhat more personalised than my recent SQ J flights - the offer of more wine close to landing won me over (alcohol bribes me quite easily) and I landed a happy camper ❤️

First ever EVA lounge safari
My first ever EVA lounge safari on homeground ❤️
This seemed like the best choice to get myself home after my SQ waitlist fell through and now I’m glad I had this chance to try new J lounges in my life 🍀
I knew the Taoyuan Airport being homeground has no lack of lounges especially being on their Royal Laurel Class and being KFEG:
The Club - KEFG
The Star - KFEG
The Infinity - Royal Laurel Class passengers
After hopping through the first two, I settled on The Infinity as after all that’s what was printed on my boarding pass ✌🏻
The space was big but very busy with a constant flow of passengers sometimes requiring assistance to find available tables. Decked in green and bright-ish hues, the place offers plenty seatings via cushy arm chairs and many options of solo booths (good luck snagging one). A tree-like centerpiece and a library wall of sorts made the space feel cheerier and a heightened sense of privacy than it actually is ☀️
F&B was not too bad for a breakfast spread and saw many local flavors which I always appreciated. Thumbs up for Illy coffee which has not failed me so far in getting a dark roasted cup of caffeine ☕️
Happy to check this off before my Royal Laurel experience! ✈️
