We had awesome week long stay at the Tanjong Jara Resort (TJR). We came with high expectations and happy to expressing that we really satisfied that TJR Team is went above and beyond. With the trademark to welcoming the guests upon arrival is the Malay Traditional gong will hitting thrice every time arrived. The refreshments drinks, serve light food i.e. Kueh Cara and with cool face towels was provided while waiting the check in process. These treat will definitely made our feeling amazed and felt like a VIP. During escorted by the senior members staff to our room, while in the working there are so many surprises and gestures of great facilities. The food at Di Atas Sungei Restaurant is authentic and delicious, the seafood is very fresh and trust the legendary Chef Ann to whip up her magic and keep you entertained and fed at the same time. The pool view very stunning and kids are enjoyed swim and played. Spa village provides great, relaxing treatments as attested by the queen and our princess. Love the private beach, the scenery so gorgeous and peaceful. Overall the hotel was done their best to make the stay as pleasant as possible. WE TRAVELLED TO TERENGGANU AND STAYED FOR 6 DAYS AT THIS BEAUTIFUL SECLUDED RESORT FACING A CRESCENT SHAPED BEACH WITH BEAUTIFUL GOLDEN SAND BEACH AND SHADED BY PALM TREES. Each pool has towels and deck chairs for sun lovers, and refreshments are served at the pool deck.

I love how Tanjung Jara resort’s design is very naturalistic, incorporating a lot of earthy colours and woody tones. It really makes you feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle of the city and can properly wind down. Service here is really good too as they are polite and approachable. Only issue is that some of the furniture is stained and peeling, but it’s minor enough to overlook. A perfect short escape at this hidden gem in Dungun, Terengganu. Tanjong Jara Resort is definitely a perfect place to unwind and relax as well as the right place to experience the malay culture activities. The resort provided numerous activities on daily basis (refer the schedule activities) such as, morning exercise, Yoga, Dungun town tour, traditional handcraft classes, batik painting, Jara Hill walk, movie under the star, bicycle tour, turtle education and a glimpse of kampung lifestyle activities where dikir barat being performed, malay traditional games such ‘gasing’ or top, kompang performance and many others. Worth the stay!

Recommended to those who want privacy and nature lover.Because this resort is isolated from others.If you want to find food somewhere else,it is 10minutes away to Bandar Dungun by car.There are plenty of shop.Most of the shop closed at 10pm.So you need to come early.I didn’t recommend for you guys to travel to Terengganu on Friday.Because it is compulsory for them to closed the shop during Friday Prayers(12:30pm-2:00pm approx)

Luxury, Great view, Romantic

One of the best experiences I’ve ever had in an hotel! The infinity pool overlooking the sea was just amazing. The breakfast had a lot of options and everything was fresh and very good. The staff was super nice and helpful, and makes sure your stay is unique. The room was amazing. Really loved everything and I wish to return someday :) just make sure to bring an anti-mosquito spray since there are a lot of them (but the hotel kindly gave us a small bottle). My family and I went to Tanjong Jara Resort that is located in Dungun, Terengganu for a quick escape from the busy life. It was really relaxing stay here. #hotelreview Loved this resort, great view, very friendly staff, great service. Welcome drinks were served while we were waiting for check in. Although the resort was a bit old in terms of interior decoration and it is in the edge of sort of jungle by the beach, it was maintained relatively clean compared to other similar resorts. Drinking water in the room was served in glass bottles, which is very environmental friendly and you can request for more if needed. Breakfast is good, I especially liked there were different Malay Kuehs served during our stay. my rate : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A luxury resort with privacy

This weekend my family and I went to a small luxury resort called Tanjong Jara Resort. It is located in Dungun Terengganu. The area are very private with limited visitors per day. We booked the Serambi Room and the Bumbung Room. I will break down every caption for every picture down below. 1) The Serambi Room comes with a balcony. 2) The Bumbung Room is above the Serambi room and it does not have balcony. 3)The adults pool. But it was closed when i went there due to the monsoon season so i have no chance to swim in the pool. 4)The king bed in my Serambi room 5)They dont have much selection of breakfast. But this English breakfast is okay. Taste nice. I rate it 8/10 #weekendgetaways
