Sunset Poem - A Tribute to the Dusk at Tanjung Aru Beach, Kota Kinabalu
In the evening, walking along Tanjung Aru Beach in Kota Kinabalu, the air is filled with the gentle scent of sea salt, and the sea breeze lightly brushes by. The sky gradually turns a warm shade of orange. As the sun slowly sets in the west, the entire sea surface sparkles like it's been set ablaze with golden light. The waves gently lap against the shore, making a whispering sound, as if singing a hymn to this beautiful sunset.
The scene before your eyes takes your breath away. The orange-red sky gradually transitions to pink and purple, finally sinking into a deep blue. At this moment, where the sky meets the sea, the sun looks like a burning ruby, slowly sinking into the horizon, leaving a trace of afterglow gently illuminating the clouds. The surrounding visitors also stand quietly, seemingly unwilling to break this tranquility, their gazes filled with a touch of emotion, silently cherishing this rare scenery.
Watching the sunset on Tanjung Aru Beach, time seems to stand still. This splendid scene where the sea and sky intertwine is not only a visual feast but also a gentle moment that soothes the soul. This sunset poem will become the most tender chapter in your memory.

Chasing the stunning sunset in Kota Kinabalu, time seemed to stand still. Hi, dear.
🌅✨Chasing the stunning sunset in Kota Kinabalu, time seemed to stand still. 💖
👋Hi, dear friends! Today I want to share with you a visual feast - the stunning sunset I chased in Kota Kinabalu, it was so romantic! 💃
🌄I remember that evening, I climbed up the small hill by the sea in Tanjung Aru with great expectations, I was so excited, just like the first time I went to the amusement park when I was a child! 🎢 When I stood on the top of the hill, the scene in front of me took my breath away - the setting sun was like blood, the sea was sparkling, and the whole world was dyed with a gentle golden color. At that moment, I seemed to be integrated into this painting, and all my troubles were gone with the wind. 🍃
😢Speaking of pain, it may be that during the process of chasing the sunset, I was occasionally "kissed" by mosquitoes! Haha, but compared to the beautiful scenery in front of me, this little sacrifice is nothing! 😉
💖Emotionally, I was really deeply moved by this tranquility and beauty. Watching the setting sun slowly sinking into the sea level, my heart calmed down. At that moment, I felt an unprecedented relaxation and satisfaction, as if the whole world was cheering for me! 💪
🌈What is full of positive energy is that this experience makes me believe more that the beauty in life is always worth our pursuit and waiting. Just like this sunset, although it is short, the memory it left me is eternal. 💖
📸Finally, don't forget to use the camera to record this beautiful moment! Believe me, when you look at these photos, the touch and warmth will come to your heart again. 💕

Tanjung Aru - the best sunset spot in the world!
Tanjung Aru, a jewel in Kota Kinabalu's crown, is where magic happens every evening. This beach, just a stone's throw from the city center, has become famous for its jaw-dropping sunsets that'll make you believe in love at first sight – or at least, love at first sunset.
Picture this: You're strolling along the sandy shore, feeling the warm breeze on your skin. As the day winds down, the sky starts its nightly show. It's like Mother Nature decided to splash her most vibrant palette across the horizon. We're talking golds, oranges, pinks, and purples that'd make even the most filter-happy Instagrammer put down their phone in awe.
What makes Tanjung Aru's sunsets so special? It's all about location, baby. The beach faces west, giving you front-row seats to the sun's grand finale. And the best part? The open sea stretches as far as the eye can see, with no pesky islands blocking your view. It's just you, the sky, and maybe a few puffy clouds for added drama.
But wait, there's more! The beach is lined with twisted, gnarly aru trees (hence the name Tanjung Aru). These character-filled trees make for the perfect silhouettes against the colorful sky. Talk about a photo op!
As the sun dips lower, locals and tourists alike gather to witness the spectacle. Some folks jog along the beach, others set up picnics, and you'll always spot a few lovebirds holding hands (cue the "awws"). The vibe is pure chill – it's like everyone's collectively decided to press pause and just soak in the beauty.
And when that sun finally kisses the horizon? Pure magic. The sky lights up in a final blaze of glory, reflecting off the calm waters and turning the whole world golden for a few precious moments.
So if you're in Kota Kinabalu, do yourself a favor and catch a Tanjung Aru sunset. Trust me, it's the kind of experience that'll stick with you long after your tan fades. Just remember to put down your camera for a minute and take it all in – some moments are best captured by the heart, not the lens. #SunsetGoals

Can you imagine this is in Sabah Malaysia?😨
#freehotelstay
Sabah is the state of Malaysia that located in the region of East Malaysia, right next to Sarawak and Brunei. This is the favourite state of mine out of all other states as there are full of natures here such as the tropical rainforests, animal and plants species.
If you are visiting to the Sabah, no not miss out the capital city - Kota Kinabalu as Tanjung Aru beach here is a world-famous spot with the panoramic orange sunset and purple sky after the sunset.
Other than that, Kundasang is one of the best place to visit to which is 2-4 hours away from KK by driving!! Mountains and rivers are surrounded where you can enjoy the chill weather here. Remember to get a villa or homestay with the cloud view and you wont be disappointed with it.

4-Day Tour in Sabah | Street Photography in Kota Kinabalu
Guangzhou cannot fly directly to Semporna, many people just use Kota Kinabalu as a transit without staying, but if you have enough time, remember to leave 1 day for a city walk in Kota Kinabalu.
🗺️My 4-day tour itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kota Kinabalu➡️University of Sabah (Pink Mosque)➡️Floating Mosque➡️Tanjung Aru Beach➡️Gaya Street Night Market
Day 2: Tawau➡️Jellyfish House
Day 3: Island hopping (Mataking Line)➡️Semporna Town
Day 4: Stroll around Semporna Town➡️Fly to Kota Kinabalu➡️Buy souvenirs at Gaya Street➡️Return to home country
🚗Most of the travel times between attractions in the city are about ten minutes, and it's very convenient to take a Grab taxi.
🌈University of Sabah
📍 Universiti Malaysia Sabah, if you only want to see the Pink Mosque, you can navigate to Mosque UMS
🎫10 MYR
⏰No entry after 17:30, the tour takes about 2-3 hours.
Most people go straight to the Pink Mosque for a photo, but I think there are many places to visit on campus.
👍I highly recommend renting an electric skateboard, which is available at the ticket office, for 26 MYR
①The campus is large, and the skateboard is labor-saving.
②There is a dedicated lane, which is safe.
⚠️You will be given a tour map when you buy a ticket. The art gallery closes at 4 o'clock, remember to check the time.
💔The day I went was Friday, they were praying and we couldn't go inside the mosque for a visit, but it was great to take pictures outside.
🌈Floating Mosque
📍Kota Kinabalu City Mosque
🎫5 MYR for taking photos outside; if you want to visit inside, you need to rent clothes, 5 MYR
⏰No entry after 17:00
The blue and white color scheme + water reflection is very beautiful. Similarly, because of Friday prayers, I didn't go in.
🌈Tanjung Aru Beach
📍Tanjung Aru Beach
The sunset is absolutely beautiful‼️It's now the rainy season, the weather is not very good, the clouds are thick, but you can still see the sun dyeing the sea pink. Even in the rainy season, you can imagine how beautiful the sunset clouds would be in summer.
⏰Check the sunset time in advance, there is a bit of traffic on the way to the beach
✅The view from the Sunset Bar at the nearby Shangri-La Hotel is very good, but you need to make a reservation
💔Although there are many tourists, it's not too bad, but there is a night market next door and there will be a smell of garbage
🌈Gaya Street
Morning market: Sunday morning 6:00-12:00
Night market: Every Friday/Saturday 18:00-24:00
I only went to the night market, the snacks and juices are good.
On the way back, there was a 2-hour gap in the transfer, and I also went to Gaya Street. Although there is no morning market, most of the buildings here have graffiti, suitable for taking pictures, and you can buy some souvenirs to take home.
🍜Food Recommendations
✅Hung Jin Rice Shop - Highly recommended‼️
The shop is unremarkable, the decoration is similar to ordinary noodle stalls in China, but the taste is unique and the price is very affordable.
👍Oyster sauce chicken wings, tree vegetable scrambled eggs are a must, each bite is amazing; garlic shrimp balls are also delicious.
⚠️You need to go early, the shop is small and there are few seats.
✅Da Jia Lai Seafood Restaurant
The cream shrimp is a must-try, the remaining sauce is also great with white rice. The egg yolk crab is not bad, suitable for Chinese taste.
If you don't order lobster and pipi shrimp, the per capita cost is 150-200 MYR.
✅CFC Mongkok Restaurant on Gaya Street
Next door is Yifeng Laksa, but it closes at 18:00, so I went to this restaurant temporarily.
The laksa is okay, the durian shaved ice is great. A full cup, the ingredients are generous, and the taste is good.
🏠Accommodation Recommendations
Hyatt Regency Hotel, more than 600 per night, can be directly booked on Ctrip.
The facilities are relatively new, it is a ten-minute drive from the airport, and it is also close to Gaya Street and Hung Jin Rice Shop, you can start a city walk right out of the hotel.
✨Other tips
1️⃣The front desk of the hotel and many shop assistants are Malays, it's best to be able to communicate in simple English
2️⃣Malaysian hotels charge a tax of 10 MYR per night, payable at the hotel

Practical guide to visa-free travel to Malaysia to watch the sunset in Sabah
During the rainy season in Malaysia,
The sunset becomes rare and splendid✨.
If you want to see the century-old sunset by the sea,
7 points depend on the weather, and 3 points depend on yourself💪.
Keep this guide handy, and rush after reading it!
⏰Important time:
👉You can check the sunset time in Sabah on your mobile phone. The probability is around 18:00 recently, and it is completely down around 18:30. You can see the sunset changing different colors throughout the process. It is recommended to wait until it gets dark before leaving. If you are lucky, you can also encounter beach fireworks.
🗺Recommended itinerary before watching the sunset:
Island hopping or around the beach island, basically return to the pier at 16:30.
👉Take a taxi to the beach at 16:40, navigate to 'Tanjung aru first beach', you need to grab a good position for taking pictures, otherwise there will be people in the picture. Traffic in Sabah starts to jam from 17:00 in the evening, you can take a taxi in advance or walk a distance after watching the sunset.
📍Location:
Many people are hesitant to go to the beach or Shangri-La Hotel Sunset Bar to watch the sunset. Don't worry about coming out on vacation, if you can't, just watch! Two! Scene!
🏖Tanjung Aru Beach
Advantages: Free, wider view.
Disadvantages: There are many people, you need to queue up early.
The drop-off point is the first beach, and there will be fewer people going south to the second beach.
🍸Shangri-La Sunset bar
Advantages: Few people, with coconut trees and other scenery not monotonous.
Disadvantages: Need to book, there is a minimum consumption of 48-388RM.
📌Warm little Tips
⛅There may be beautiful sunsets on cloudy or cloudy days.
If it's not raining, don't give up, there may be surprises. The weather was average when I went, and the sunset burned the entire sky through the thick clouds.
🗓Arrange to watch the sunset in advance, don't just rely on the mangroves.
The itinerary of the mangroves mostly includes watching the sunset. But the half-day tour itinerary is full, and each family arranges differently. Eating buffet dinner + watching the sunset is free activity time, and it is likely to have missed the beach.
🎒The sunset is high tide, wear slippers and bring a waterproof bag.
Don't throw things on the beach just to free your hands to take pictures. Some are not safe, and the tide is likely to wet the backpack. If you bring a tripod to take pictures, try to choose a sturdy one or insert it into the sand.
📷Most of the sunsets are silhouettes, and the flash is turned on after dark.
You can make some big moves, pretend to take pictures and look at the phone, or directly record the video and screenshot it later.

Tanjung Aru Beach Stunning Sunset
#weekendgetaways
Tanjung Aru Beach, often referred to as "Sunset Beach," owes its fame not only to its golden sands but, more significantly, to the daily theatrical display provided by the setting sun. Each evening, as the sun descends in a slow, graceful arc, it casts a kaleidoscope of colors across the sky. The transition from bright blue to warm hues of orange, pink, and purple is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The silhouettes of fishing boats and distant islands add depth to the scene, creating a picturesque tableau that photographers and romantics alike find irresistible.
One of the most enchanting aspects of the Tanjung Aru sunset is its consistency. Unlike fleeting moments that come and go, the sunsets here are a dependable occurrence. Locals and tourists gather on the beach well in advance, eager to secure a front-row seat to nature's grand performance. Families stroll along the shoreline, children build sandcastles, and couples walk hand in hand, all drawn by the allure of the impending spectacle.
Tanjung Aru Beach offers more than just a visual feast. The gentle lapping of waves against the shore and the caress of the sea breeze against your skin create a multisensory experience. The rhythmic sound of the ocean and the scent of saltwater combine to form a soothing symphony for the soul.

In Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the first place to watch the sunset online is Tanjung Aru Beach, known as one of the top three most beautiful sunsets in the world. The beach is located on the west coast of Kota Kinabalu, across the sea from Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, which is lined with rows of palm trees and casuarinas. It was a pity that we did not encounter the sunset, the twilight sunset completely covered by thick clouds. If you are interested, remember to check the weather first.

World Class Sunset @ Tg Aru Beach, KK
One of the great joys of Kota Kinabalu are the fabulous sunsets. And Tanjung Aru Beach has one of the most beautiful sunset views in the world.
This beach used to be a quiet beach visited mostly by locals only. Not until 2014, a blog listed Kota Kinabalu city as one of the world’s best place to watch sunset. Since then, the beach is frequented by tourists every day and their exciting reactions confirm that the sunset here is truly spectacular ✨
There was a real feel-good atmosphere here with locals and tourists enjoying the breathtaking golden sunset.

Buttery treat "Leaf"ing you glee
Meet Leafville Cafe in Tanjung Aru Kota Kinabalu. A quaintly cute cafe in a nostalgic part of Tanjung Aru. The pastries they made in-house everyday will definitely meet the expectation of the classic French pastries lover; airy, buttery and scrumptious. This indeed a small cafe with only one seating area but they do take big batch order. They are not yet able to deliver but with more support, it's very likely they can in the future. Prices of the caffeine will be desirable to lots of coffee-addict out there.
Buttery moist pastry and a gallop of espresso: what could be wrong. (Tips: if there is no seat, just drive or walk to the beach nearby and have your pastry of your liking with a cup of hot coffee. Enjoy!). Last but not least, they do take order in large order, but make to sure to so 3-days in advance.
Look for: Leafville

Kuala Lumpur or Sabah? Sabah!
Malaysia still has a strong British Commonwealth atmosphere, and restaurants start to close one after another at 8pm in the evening.
So it leads to the fact that there's really not much special to do in downtown Kuala Lumpur.
By comparison, Sabah has better scenery. This sunset is really healing, and there are white sandy beaches and jellyfish seas. Snorkeling is still very enjoyable.

📍 Tanjung Aru Beach
It is said to be one of the world's three most beautiful sunsets.
Carrying my shoes, I walked around the beach for half a circle, and then sat on the beach watching the sunset for an hour. It turned out that the day ended like this, lazy and comfortable. Cities with the sea seem to be more romantic, maybe this is my never-tired feeling towards the sea.

Tanjung Aru Beach, Kota Kinabalu
The Tanjung Aru Beach has transformed quite a bit from being hawker stalls to restaurants and beachside cafes. The beach is divided into three sections, beach 1, beach 2 and beach 3. There are plenty of places to eat at Tanjung Aru Beach. Foodstalls here serve food and drinks till late at night. You may opt to choose from enjoying a simple meal of coconut and sugarcane juice with chicken or beef satay or you can also opt for a full-course dinner at the seafood restaurant found here. You can easily get to the Tanjung Aru Beach by getting on the bus with the 'Tanjung Aru Beach' sign from the bus terminal across from the City Hall. #mytripvlog#tanjungaru

Tanjung Aru Beach - Borneo, Malaysia
Tanjung Aru is a beach located about 6 kilometers from Kota Kinabalu. The beach is a popular holiday destination for both locals and tourists. The beach is divided into three parts.
The first beach - not so long ago hotels started to operate here with all amenities and restaurants, salons, spa centers. Here you can simply relax.
The second beach - here you can see simple restaurants, this beach, compared to the first, is relatively quiet and calm.
The third beach is a very quiet and romantic place, well suited for a relaxing and relaxing holiday. The sunsets here are just amazing. Also, this place was chosen by fishermen, because a lot of fish live here and there is no extra noise and fuss.

Located on the west side of the city of Kota Kinabalu, Tanjung Aru Beach is undoubtedly one of the most popular landmarks in Kota Kinabalu for both locals and tourists. The location of the beach is very good, just 15 minutes drive from the city centre of Kota Kinabalu. At the same time, it is also very close to Kota Kinabalu Airport. Because there is a distance from the city, the tourists are not too many. Most of the people here are from Sabah locals who come here to enjoy a leisurely time, or what you often see is that many couples take pictures and walk on the beach. Before coming to Sabah, I heard the name of Tanjung Aru Beach more than once, one of the top 10 best viewing spots in the world. The hotel we stayed in was right next to the beach. After we arrived at the hotel, we packed up and watched the sunset.

Tanjung Yalu Beach Sunset is one of the top ten sunsets in the world. It was raining, but the sunset over the sea was still magnificent. The best time is to wait for the sunset at 5 pm. There are many restaurants near the beach where you can enjoy the sunset after buying some refreshing juice. The Shangri-La Hotel next door to Tanjung Aru Beach is also a very hot sunset spot with coconut trees and a tropical feel.
