Experienced Spring in Kyoto and it was amazing! we went during this season to view cherry blossoms and we were not disappointed. The beautiful blooms were everywhere and Philosopher's Path deserves a 👍. There's not much crowd on that morning we were there. The trees lined the river and pathways perfectly as you can see here. This path follows a canal which is lined by hundreds of cherry and mapple trees. Approximately two kilometers long, the path begins around Ginkakuji (Silver Pavilion) and ends in the neighborhood of Nanzenji. The Philosopher’s Path, or Walk, is a great place to visit all year round, as the scenery offers something unique for every season. I've visited Kyoto dozens of times, but this was my first time going to the Philosopher's Path. It was around June, so even though Kyoto is usually bustling with tourists, there weren't many people there and it felt like time was flowing slowly. The water in the river was very clear, and there were people reading books near the river, it was a place where you could forget about your daily life and feel very calm. The view would probably be completely different depending on the season, so I'd like to visit again in autumn, winter or spring. There were a few restaurants and other establishments here and there, and it was nice that they weren't crowded either.
