The blue church is one of the most beautiful and unique church you will see. It is located in the eastern part of the Old Town on Bezručova Street. The church is a work of a Hungarian architect who designed it in the 20th century. The whole church is blue, not just the outside, but the interior as well! This is truly a spot for you to take photos.

Blue Church
The Blue Church in Bratislava is a beautiful Art Nouveau-style Catholic church that is known for its striking blue exterior and intricate details. It was built in the early 20th century and is located in the Old Town of Bratislava, making it a popular tourist attraction.
The church's unique blue color is what sets it apart from other churches in the area, and the interior is just as impressive with its stunning stained glass windows and ornate decorations. Visitors can attend mass or simply admire the architecture and beauty of the church.

Blue Skies and a Blue Church in Slovakia

The Blue Church, or The Church of St Elizabeth is about a 15 minute walk from the town centre and is a beautiful place to sit and think after a long day walking around the sights of Slovakia. Everything on this church is blue. My favourite part is the mosaic inlay on the facades.
It’s not open all the time, so if you want to take a look inside you’ll have to time it right!

Blue and Beautiful Church of St. Elizabeth
One of the must-visit attractions in Bratislava is the Church of St. Elizabeth. It is referred to as "The Little Blue Church" because of the colour of its façade, mosaics, majolicas and blue-glazed roof.
The vibrant blue exterior and intricate details of the architecture left me in awe. 🇸🇰 #bratislava #2023travelwish #mytripvlog #tripblazers #urbanexplorer #celebratewithtrip #passionpassport #awesomepic

The Blue Church - what an amazing church and so memorable 💙 Still in my mind!
Another great church would be the Blue Church as it is nicknamed. A Hungarian church that features a façade which was painted with blue colour. A line of blue tiles and wave-strip encircles the church. Something for sure that will attract your attention, you can’t miss it!
St. Martin’s Cathedral St. Martin’s Cathedral is another great example of architecture but also history. As we are reminded that 11 Hungarian kings and queens have started their monarchical journeys here.

Bratislava, Slovakia.
The plane landed at Vienna Airport on time at 07:15.
There will be a 15 hour transfer time here.
I quickly checked in my luggage for the next flight and saved myself a lot of trouble. Walk out of the airport with ease.
Where to go? Returning to Vienna?
I improvised, followed my inspiration, and jumped on the airport FlixBus. 45 minutes later, I arrived in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
It is located on the Danube River, close to the borders of Austria and Hungary. Stand on the hill of Bratislava Castle and overlook the meandering Danube River and the entire city. From the Gothic St. Martin's Cathedral to the Baroque Old Town Hall to the modern UFO Tower, each building tells a different story.
The rising sun dyed the sky golden, the Danube River sparkled under the sunlight, and the boats on the river floated slowly. I also quietly enjoyed this quiet moment in the busy morning.
Bratislava has a complex and eventful history. It was the capital of Hungary from 1526 to 1784, and later became part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire as it formed.
After the end of World War I in 1918, when the Austro-Hungarian Empire collapsed, the Czech and Slovak nations, which have close historical ties, chose to unite and jointly established the Czechoslovak Republic. Bratislava became its second city.
Czechoslovakia disintegrated on January 1, 1993, and Slovakia became a sovereign and independent country with Bratislava as its capital.
Walking on the cobblestone roads of the old city, you can feel the medieval style with its narrow streets, ancient buildings, and lively markets; while around the corner you may encounter modern art or fashionable cafes. This feeling of intertwining time and space is fascinating. Compared with many European big cities, Bratislava is quieter and more comfortable. There are no crowds and hustle and bustle here, allowing people to slow down and enjoy a leisurely travel time.
Lunch is classic Slovak grilled chicken and strong coffee.
Continue walking around this charming old town in the afternoon.
Michael's Gate - is the only preserved medieval city gate and a symbolic entrance into the old city.
Old Town Hall - Located in the main square, it is one of the oldest buildings. The building was built in the 13th century and was used as a prison and a mint. Now a museum,
Main Square - This is the heart of the old town, surrounded by various historical buildings and colorful houses.
St. Martin's Cathedral - This 15th-century Gothic cathedral is the largest church and was the coronation church for the Hungarian kings and queens.
Blue Church: Also known as St. Elizabeth's Church, this building is known for its candy-colored walls and roof and is one of the most beautiful Secession buildings.
Every corner of the old city has a story, and every building carries history.
At dusk, I returned to Vienna with a lot of memories.

[Slovakia] The fairy-tale church "Blue Church" in Bratislava
A really cute church with a gentle blue color in the middle of town😍
It's about a 15-minute walk from the old town of Bratislava, but it's quite a hassle to walk there and back, so I recommend taking a taxi on the way there and walking on the way back👍
You can only go inside and view it for about 30 minutes to an hour around 7am and 5pm in the evening, but these are prayer times, so it's unclear whether you'll be able to view it as much as you want💦
During the day, you can easily view it through the fence at the entrance, so you can stop by whenever you like💡
Please go and check it out🎵

The blue church
There are many kind of churches according to the Christianity denomination they belong to. There are also many different architecture styles, many sizes, forms and colours ... and yes, when we talk about colours, there is one unique blue church in Bratislava which is so much fun that many people compare it with the Smurfs. It's a little further of the city center, but still very easy to reach on foot. Just check the working ours.

The Church of St. Elizabeth (Slovak: Kostol svätej Alžbety, Hungarian: Szent Erzsébet templom), commonly known as Blue Church (Modrý kostolík, Kék templom).
The blue church is a Hungarian-Secessionist Catholic church located in the eastern part of the Old Town in Bratislava, present-day Slovakia. 🇸🇰
It is consecrated to Elisabeth of Hungary, daughter of Andrew II, who grew up in the Pressburg 🏰.
It is referred to as "The Little Blue Church" because of the colour of its façade, mosaics, majolicas and blue-glazed roof. It was initially part of the neighboring gymnázium (high school) and served as the school chapel.
Easy to go there with tram or buses. Walkable area from the center of Bratislava old town.
The entrance fee inside the church is literally free but in some cases, the church has been done private visits for special occasions.

This time I'll introduce you to a cute church!
Actually, I'm not that interested in churches...
When I travel in Europe, churches are usually listed as recommended places, but I just pass them up.
They're beautiful.
I think they're wonderful, but...
I think it would be fun if I had a strong religious faith, but maybe I didn't instill it in my life enough.
On the other hand, when I go to a shrine, I'm like, "Wow!"
My parents' education was a success!
I don't get excited when I see a lot of churches, so I try to go only to churches that I like just by looking at the visuals.
This time it's a baby blue church, so it's too cute 🥺
When I found it on Google Maps, I was like, "Whoa!? I definitely want to go."
It's called the Blue Church, but its official name is The Church of St. Elizabeth/Kostol svätej Alžbety.
Blue Church
It's a relatively new church built between 1903 and 1913⛪️It was built by a Hungarian and it seems to have been built in the Hungarian Art Nouveau style. This is the first time I've heard of it... Hungarian Art Nouveau🤭It's elegant and cute, so it's nice~
This church is not for tourists, so the opening hours are quite short. If you want to take photos inside the building, please go between 6:30 and 7:30am and 5:30 and 7:00pm↑.
*May change slightly depending on the day of the week.
I took a photo of the building in the morning, and when I went back in the evening, mass was in progress. I was glared at while taking a photo. Sorry🙏
So I recommend going before or after mass. I went home crying.
Slovakia🇸🇰 is not a country that I would highly recommend, but you can get there in an hour from Vienna, Austria🇦🇹, and there was a time when it was Czechoslovakia/Slovakia, so if you like the Czech Republic, maybe it's worth a visit?

Am I the only one who loves the Blue Church⛪️❗️|| After seeing so many churches in Europe, my favorite is still the blue and white church in Slovakia🇸🇰. Before I came, I didn't think a church⛪️ could have such a dreamy color, really! I'm not exaggerating, it's really super dreamy here, definitely a niche travel destination worth checking out📸!
📍St. Elizabeth's Cathedral
You can see this church⛪️ from afar at the street corner, and I really want to rush over and hug it, it completely hits my girly heart, doesn't it! The large amount of sky blue and white combination is very unlike a church, so cute, just like something out of a fairy tale, stunning!💕
📍Bratislava Castle
Located in Hrad Square north of the old town, this two-story ivory palace🏰 building is elegant and grand. Climbing up the castle and looking out, the Danube River looks like a blue dress👗, and the bridges spanning the river look like ribbons tied around a girl's waist.
📍Trenčín Castle
One of the largest castle complexes🏰 in Slovakia, its history can be traced back to the Roman Empire era. It suffered a fire🔥 in 1790 and became ruins until it was fully rebuilt in the 1950s, which is the form we see today. The entire Trenčín Castle🏰 is surrounded by high walls and towers, with a spiral path leading up the mountain; inside the castle, there are several palaces of different sizes.
📍Roland Fountain
The Roland Fountain⛲ is located in the main square♥ of Bratislava, and it is one of the iconic landmarks. The Baroque-style sculptural fountain is not only beautiful but also had a firefighting🧯 function at the time, just like the large vats in the Forbidden City. The fountain is lit up in the evening, so if you're not in a hurry, you can wait until night, it's even more beautiful!
📍Manhole Cover Statue
In the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava, the most famous statue🗿 is probably this 'Man at Work'. A sewer worker👨🔧 in work clothes, poking his head out of the ground to rest, looking adorable. If you enjoy city walks in the old town, come and take a look!

[Slovakia] The photogenic "Blue Church" in a residential area
Access: 10 minutes on foot from Bratislava Old Town
Recommended point: Great spot for taking photos
Admission fee: Free (cannot visit inside)
"St. Alzveta's Church" is located in a residential area a little away from Bratislava Old Town. Nicknamed the Blue Church, it is a popular tourist spot that represents the city.
The pastel blue church stands out in the residential area lined with simple apartment buildings. As you walk towards the church, the spire that protrudes into view is a unique sight.
You can't go inside, but if you look through the window you can see the interior of the cathedral with its simple decorations. It's a recommended spot as it is easily accessible on foot from the Old Town.

Only three and a half hours of blue churches per day
In fact, about the color of the church, the churches around the world are full of colors, like the pink churches of the famous Dalat in Vietnam, which are popular in the ins and microblogs. Countless tourists came to take pictures. The blue church is also uncommon in the world, and the blue architectural style is good and rare. In recent years, this once-small blue church in Slovakia has entered people's field of vision, and there is still no fire. We havetened to go to the truth. The
church is hidden on the back street about 5 minutes from Tesco, not far from the old city. Originally thought that the building opposite the church is also an attraction. When you walk into it, it is a middle school. There are classes in the playground that are taking physical education classes.
The macarons blue church under the clear sky is really impossible to remove the line of sight, with green grass, like walking from a fairy tale! The churchs real name, St. Elizabeths Church, was built by the Hungarians more than 100 years ago to commemorate Princess Elizabeth and is one of the oldest churches in Bratislava.
The overall color of the church is mainly blue and white, and even the roof is also made of blue glazed ceramics, so the locals call it the blue church. The overall architectural style of the Blue Church is representative of the new art in the Hungarian Catholic Church, with medieval Baroque domes and towers, as if to say "we are not the same!".
Usually the door is closed and mysterious, and few people photograph it inside. The reason is that it is only at 6
Shirley Zhu.
St. Elizabeth's Church
It is the St. Elizabeth Church in the eastern part of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, because the overall color of the church is blue, and even the roof is also made of blue glazed ceramics, which the locals call it. The blue church, the blue color of the church is a dream blue, the light blue and the pure white make the church more dreamy and charming. The church was built by the Hungarian people to commemorate Princess Elizabeth more than 100 years ago. The door in the
blue church is extremely chic, the blue church feels very gentle, because it has too many soft lines.
On the same day, I just caught up with a European wedding. I went to a beautiful church with my beloved girl. The blessing of the pastor is a very romantic thing. I sit on a blue chair and listen to the people around me. Prayer, the beautiful time is slowly flowing, and it is gradually fixed in the tunnel of time. The Slovaks really love blue. You can see that the blue is everywhere in the church. Even the Virgin is wearing a blue dress. The gold is more dazzling against the blue. It does not make the church luxurious. On the contrary, it is a finishing touch, very tasteful, and Xiaojin looks very serious like his hands clasped together.
