The outdoor music stage in Zongshan park is advertised as a beautiful arch of grass surrounding a fountain and stage, however this is quite different from the reality.
When you arrive, you will hear the flapping of hundreds of wings, as this is now the home to a whole flock of pigeons and doves. For just ¥10 you can buy some bird seed and hand feed these little animals. I wasn’t quite brave enough, but the sit down after a long walk up the mountain was well deserved.

Pigeons flying and autumn colors at the Nanjing Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Music Stage.
😁 There are many places in the ancient city of Nanjing worth visiting in autumn, and the autumn scenery of the Music Stage is particularly spectacular. Not only is it covered with various colorful plants, but there are also many doves accompanying tourists, which is very relaxing.
🍁 The overall architecture is very artistic, and the streamlined design layout is very advanced. The stage and the surrounding concrete screen wall form a large arc, which can gather sound waves. The area where the audience is located is covered with green grass, and there are many flowers and plants. Although it is an open-air design, the environment is very ideal.
🈶 When you come here in late autumn, you can feel the strong autumn atmosphere, and you must sit on the steps here for a long time, let time stand still, and quietly enjoy the beautiful season of this city. Although the concrete buildings and wooden seats are relatively rigid, with the embellishment of too many colorful maple leaves and ginkgo trees around, if you use an overhead view, it is a beautiful picture. Be sure to interact with the doves flying in the Music Stage Square.
⏰ When to go? You can go anytime recently. In addition to winter and summer, it is very suitable for relaxing. It is very sunny in summer and too cold in winter, so it is not recommended to stay for a long time.
🌈 When to go? It feels best in the morning and afternoon. Don't go too early or too late, as the doves may not fly and the light is not good.
🚻 Recommended best route: Outer woods - arc-shaped music stage screen - arc-shaped path - cement walkway - flower bed bench - feeding pigeons, these routes should be the most time-saving, and the whole process may take 2 hours.
🧧 What scenery is worth seeing? In addition to the buildings, the colorful plants in autumn are scattered around, and if you have a drone view, it will be very layered.
🏠 What facilities are worth noting? The mature scenic area has complete facilities, and there are small shops where you can buy some food and drinks to enjoy the environment. But the only inconvenience is that there is no restroom.
📷 How to take photos and choose a location: A normal zoom lens is fine, which can take care of both scenery and portraits, and is very free to take photos.
🚗 How to get there? Take Metro Line 2 to Mafang Station or Muxuyuan Station, and transfer to a tourist bus.
☎ How to buy tickets and make reservations? Just buy a ticket, the price is not expensive.
🔥 Tips to know before visiting:
1. The terrain is uneven, so you need comfortable shoes.
2. If you have good physical strength, you can visit the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum Scenic Area together.
3. It is best not to drive there, as the parking fee is expensive.

Lazy Guide | Don't miss the early autumn of Nanjing Music Terrace.
|Don't miss the early autumn of Nanjing Music Terrace. I woke up late on the last day of my return trip 😭 I went to see the white pigeons and sycamore trees at the Music Terrace
ㅤ
Because we were short on time, we only planned to go to one music terrace 😂 From the starting point, we took the sightseeing bus directly to the Music Terrace terminal station. The sightseeing bus ticket costs ten yuan per person. After taking photos inside the Music Terrace, you don't need to come out ~ There will be a loudspeaker calling out to the Music Terrace sightseeing bus for ten yuan, then you can take the bus directly behind the attraction to the subway station, also ten yuan per person sightseeing bus!!! You can sit in the front row (if you're lucky) the scenery is very good, you can directly see the main road and sycamore trees on both sides during the journey, take a photo of the main road directly from the front window, it's very spacious and photogenic!
ㅤ
We arrived at the Music Terrace at five o'clock, it was already sunset, but after a while, the pigeons started to fly in groups! Very lucky!! Took a photo of the flock of pigeons flying! I bought a bag of pigeon food at the Music Terrace, 5r/bag, bought a bag, and there will be a surprise if you focus on feeding a small pigeon!!! (Very close to me ~ also on my shoulder!!!)
ㅤ
⚠️ There are many photographers there (whether professional or not, I won't say, they will offer to take photos for you for free, then if you choose them, you will be charged, I randomly chose a big sister to take a Polaroid photo, 25r/piece) Some photographers will ask you to move, don't block their way to take photos for their clients📷 (Speaking of this, I'm really angry!!! It's not his money that pays for the location!!!!)
