#The Oberoi Beach Resort, Mauritius Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Rediscovering the World: From Supermarket Aisles to Passport Stamps
A year ago, I wandered a grocery store aisle, dreaming of seeing country names not just on wine labels but in my passport. Today, the world is slowly returning to normal, and I'm elated that travel is no longer confined to my imagination. Have you traveled in the past year? Share your recent adventures! ✈️🌍
I remember walking through a grocery store a year ago and dreaming that I would see the names of countries not only in the wine department, but also in my passport.
Now everything is finally starting to return to normal, it makes me happy that traveling is not only in your imagination.
Have you flown anywhere in the last year? Tell me where! That’s interesting!

Embracing the Heat: Cooling Off in Mauritiu
Mauritius swelters at +40 degrees, but I'm undeterred, feeling like a dragon unafraid of fire. It's all about chilling out at @theoberoimauritius, where I ponder if you're one to seek the shade or bask in the sun's fiery embrace. Share your heat-tolerance level! 🔥🏖️
It's hot in Mauritius, that's an undeniable fact. But every time it’s +40, I think the fire can't kill the dragon. And I keep burning.
Chill mode in @theoberoimauritius is activated. Are you usually in the team of those who hide in the shade, or those who are hot enough that no sun is scary? ;) #OberoiMaruritius #TheOberoi #Mauritius"

Travel Tales: From Awe to Routine
After 11 months of constant travel, the novelty of large villas, private pools, and lobster dinners fades. Much like witnessing wildlife in Kenya, where zebras once thrilled, but now only lions and cheetahs suffice. @theoberoimauritius holds a unique charm, with its unparalleled shower experience. What's most important to you when staying in a hotel? Share your priorities! 🏨🍽️
When you travel 11 months a year, you are no longer surprised by large villas, private pools and lobster for dinner.
You know, it’s like when you are the first time in Kenya. When you first see a zebra on a safari, you can't contain your excitement, arrange a photo shoot for it for 20 minutes, and then talk about it all evening. And on the last day of the safari, you see a lion. Or a cheetah. And you’re like “oh, let’s move on, haven’t I seen lions and cheetahs?”
And so that's all.
For example, in @theoberoimauritius, I liked the shower the most. Because it's unique. Because there is nothing like it anywhere else in the world. Where else do I swim after the salty ocean under the water that women in Mauritian saris pour on me?
What is the most important thing for you in a hotel? Food, service, nets on the windows in the villa ;) or the beach? What do you pay the most attention to when traveling?
