Zest, at The Ritz Carlton Tianjin is holding a butcher night on friday and saturday (11/03, 12/03) and I have to say it was the best meat I have eaten in China!
I am Brazilian, so I do appreciate a good meat and it gave me so much joy to eat it!
I found it a great money for value, considering it is a huge buffet, with lots of meat options to choose from, also parma ham, caviar, fresh fishes and sea food, japanese sashimi and sushi, noodles station, chinese station, desserts and drinks!
I will definitely go back!

Hotels in Tianjin are generally average compared to the rest of the country, but this Ritz-Carlton is very stylish. Located in a European-style castle, it offers gentlemanly and ladylike service to gentlemen and ladies.
🏘️The 175-square-meter Victoria Suite is located on the outer corner of the hotel building, with street views, a living room, bedroom, cloakroom, study, separate wet and dry bathroom, and two restrooms. It is equipped with Diptyque Greek fig series toiletries.
🧹The room and hotel public area hygiene is up to standard, and the soundproofing is excellent, so you can't hear the street noise.
🎯The hotel itself is a scenic spot, especially the lobby and public areas, with a lot of artwork. Both the architecture and the decoration have a European castle feel, and there are many wedding photo spots on Tai'an Road.

The most worthwhile "attraction" in Tianjin is Jiefang North Road.
Starting from Jiefang Bridge, walk along Jiefang North Road to the Political Consultative Club, then turn right to Xiaobailou Concert Hall. The route is about 2 kilometers long and is known as the Oriental Wall Street. The western-style buildings along the way are too many to take in at once and are very beautiful.
You will pass by Taian Road, Wudayuan, Ritz-Carlton, Lishunde Hotel, Daguanming Bridge and other famous check-in points along the way, and you can take a lot of photos. When you pass by Jiefang North Park (in front of Lishunde Hotel), it is recommended to take a rest in the park, which is very comfortable! Then visit the Lishunde Hotel Museum (a century of time travel, full of surprises, search for strategies in advance).
🌈 When you arrive at the concert hall, take a rest at KFC and have a cup of coffee. Next to it is the famous Cheese Forest and the Jewish Church, where you can take a lot of photos. Then set off for Wudadao. The route I recommend is the most beautiful and quietest in Tianjin!

The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin is in a great location. It's about a 30-minute drive from Tianjin Binhai International Airport and a 10-minute drive from Tianjin Railway Station. It's next to the Hai River, so you can take a walk along the river at night and watch the fireworks on both sides of the river 🎆.

The hotel is decorated in a European neoclassical style. The lobby floor has black and white diamond-shaped tiles, symmetrical escalators on both sides, European-style furniture, and lots of oil paintings. The European-style chairs and plaster lines on the walls of the rooms show off its luxury and taste. Unfortunately, the atrium garden was closed due to ice when I checked in. Each room has a small balcony, and the many Chinese-style decorations make the rooms unique.

For breakfast, I had Tianjin jianbing guozi (made with mung bean flour), Goubuli baozi, Dafu Lai, and erduoyan. The breakfast was rich and had local characteristics. You can experience Tianjin cuisine without leaving the hotel!
It's worth mentioning that the sashimi platter for CNY 380 seems to have a high cost performance under the contrast of the beef noodle menu for CNY 160. The food was also good. I'm not an expert on sashimi, but for me, as long as it's not fishy, it's good. If it's sweet, it's even better.
The overall architectural style is classic European, but the disadvantage of the thick carpet throughout the building is that if it's not cleaned in time, there will be a lot of dust and smell due to the large number of guests.
The gym is also fully equipped and new. The disadvantage of the swimming pool is that it's too narrow. It's 22m long and 7m wide, basically two and a half swimming lanes.
Overall, I highly recommend it.

The rooms at The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin all have balconies. The twin room has two floor-to-ceiling windows and two small balconies. It's very comfortable to stand on the balcony and enjoy a cup of coffee while admiring the castle scenery. The room is not small, and the classic Ritz-Carlton European retro decoration is very tasteful, gorgeous and luxurious. The Toto electric toilet, Dyson hair dryer, and the TV in the mirror are not used, but they reflect the hotel's intentions.

The breakfast at The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin is worth mentioning. The variety is very rich and the taste is also good. What touched me the most is that the beef noodles are self-served, and you can serve as much as you want, just beef noodles without noodles.

The gym and swimming pool are underground. The swimming pool service is in place. A very kind uncle greeted me with a smile and told me the water depth and today's water temperature. The picture shows the hotel's Executive Victoria Suite. Among the hotel's rooms, the Carlton Suite and Victoria Suite are relatively high-end suite types. The Ritz-Carlton Tianjin is located in the British-style scenic area on Taian Road, Tianjin, where various European-style buildings from the 19th and 20th centuries can be seen everywhere. The hotel building's architectural history dates back to the British Concession's Gordon Hall in 1890, which was rebuilt into the Tianjin Municipal Building in 1976, and reconstructed by the Ritz-Carlton in 2013.
Entering the lobby is like breaking into a European castle, with a strong sense of luxurious palace style. The hotel's decor is mainly in ivory white, gold, and blue, both gorgeous and textured. Art pieces are visible everywhere: Roman columns, black and white checkered patterns, crystal lamps, blue and white porcelain... cleverly blending Eastern and Western cultures.
The guest room layout is still grand, with exquisite corridors, double washbasins, independent terraces, etc. My room faces the hotel's sky garden, and it's quite comfortable to lean on the terrace and bask in the afternoon sun.

When visiting Xi'an, here are some budget-friendly hotel recommendations
The hotel isn't very tall, and although it's near the Haihe River, there are no river views. Each room has at least one small balcony, and while the toiletries are in large fixed bottles, they come with a Dyson hairdryer, a stand, and a complete set of nozzles.
