MIA STEWART
The view is really great, and I never get tired of it.
The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort - Tahiti. If I had to rank the hotels, I would say Four Seasons > InterContinental > St. Regis. But I think all the hotels in Tahiti are good, even if the St. Regis is not ranked first, it is still a good hotel. Because I stayed in the overwater bungalow twice, I booked a sea view suite at the St. Regis. The room is very large, with a large private pool facing the sea, and a small garden for drying clothes. It feels more comfortable than the overwater bungalow. There is a water dispenser in the room where you can drink hot and cold water at any time, which is a plus. The hotel service is also very good. The hotel also has a lagoon restaurant run by Jean Georges for fine dining. The downside is that the mountain view is average, and its beach is not facing Otemanu Mountain like the other two hotels. Only some overwater bungalows can face the mountain, but the mountain view it faces is not as good as the Four Seasons and InterContinental. The pool is a bit small and ordinary. What I like most is the smell in the room!

Honeymoon paradise - The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort
Connected to the sea, the water is green but very beautiful; we take our snorkeling gear and go to the designated spot in the lake to see the fish. The lake looks shallow from above, but we discovered it's actually six or seven meters deep when we went down. There are so many fish, and they are not afraid of people, you can reach out and touch them. When you put your head underwater, you can hear the sound of the fish nibbling on the coral, like they are eating seaweed, haha. There is also a very large Sumatran fish that has been raised for many years, named Taylor, as the island's pet, so no one eats it, haha.
The main transportation on the island is bicycles and electric shuttle buses. Bicycles can be ridden anywhere along the roadside and parked anywhere after use, but most of them have no bells or brakes.
Room facilities:
On the beach, all non-motorized toys are free, including kayaks, canoes, various surfboards, pedal boats, sailboats, etc. There is only one sailboat, but it is the most popular. I couldn't grab it for the first two days.
So on the third day, after finishing our meal, we waited on the beach and finally managed to grab a spot on the boat, haha. But then the problem arose - neither of us had ever played before and didn't know how to... Luckily, the staff were very friendly, asking us questions and giving us guidance. They drove the motorboat and pushed us into the sea, fiddling around for a while. Finally, I began to get the hang of it, mastering the rudder and steering oar of the unpowered sailboat, as well as how to use the wind...
When the sail finally catches the wind and opens up on the sea, it feels absolutely amazing!
Because in the calm waters surrounded by a circle, there are many strange underwater creatures, making it a paradise for diving enthusiasts.
[Transportation] It's quite a hassle to get to Tahiti. If you want to go to Bora Bora Island, you also need to take a small inland plane. After arriving at the Bora Bora Island airport, you need to take a speedboat to the hotel. The whole process takes about 24-28 hours from leaving home to arriving at the hotel room.
Recommendation
The Regis and Four Seasons hotels are very close to each other on the east side of Bora Bora Island.
Inside the Ritz-Carlton hotel, there is a snorkeling center enclosed by the hotel itself, with direct access to the sea. The water inside is very calm. The hotel also has a L'Occitane spa, several restaurants, and bicycles that can be ridden freely everywhere.
