[2024 Nanjing Stay] Travel Guide for The Westin Nanjing Resort & Spa (Updated Dec)
It's the perfect time to enjoy a hot spring trip at the Westin Nanjing Garden Expo
I've been to Nanjing countless times, and finally made it to Jiangsu Garden Expo Park.
The early winter is a bit chilly, but the mountain breeze is refreshing and the hot spring is warm.♨️
Besides visiting the Garden Expo Park, I was also looking forward to the hot spring!
I heard that the Westin and Autograph Collection were designed by a couple.
I stayed at both hotels this time, and I have to say, this family is so talented!
The Westin Nanjing Resort & Spa is built on a mountain.⛰️
It combines Chinese garden and modern design.
The cherry blossom tree design in the lobby echoes the view of the Garden Expo Park outside the floor-to-ceiling windows.🌸
The deluxe garden view room has a large terrace.🛏️
The warm color scheme is cozy and comfortable, and I had a good sleep after a bath.🛁
The outdoor hot spring pool and children's play area are well designed.♨️
I felt so relaxed after a warm bath.
🫖I had afternoon tea at the Harbor Lounge.
The Ferris wheel-themed tea set was very beautiful, and the sweet and savory treats were delicate and delicious.🎡
I had dinner at Yunting Chinese Restaurant.
The authentic Jinling cuisine was unanimously approved.👍
🌞I had a bowl of hot duck blood and vermicelli soup for breakfast, which warmed my heart and stomach.🥰
The hotel gave me tickets to Baochu Paradise and Su Yun Thirteen Gardens.🎫
I could walk to the gardens from the hotel.🚶♀️ The Thirteen Gardens were surprisingly fun to visit!
I needed to take a shuttle bus to other distant attractions, and two days were not enough to explore them all!

In Nanjing, you must experience the Westin Nanjing Resort & Spa and enjoy the amazing views.
Just returned from the Westin Nanjing Resort & Spa, and my heart is still immersed in the indescribable comfort, unable to extricate itself. This trip felt like my body and mind were gently wrapped and cared for, allowing me to experience what true "leisure vacation" means.
The moment I stepped into the hotel, the beauty of the fusion of modern design and traditional elements immediately caught my eye. The clever use of space and natural light was refreshing. The room layout was spacious and comfortable, and every detail showed the hotel's meticulous care for guests. The view from the balcony was particularly captivating, making me forget the hustle and bustle of the city.
As one of the features of the Westin brand, the comfort of the bed was beyond imagination. Every night's sleep felt like being surrounded by soft clouds, extremely comfortable. The white tea and aloe series of toiletries in the bathroom were fragrant and added a touch of freshness to the journey.
The dining experience in the hotel was equally wonderful. The Huaiyang cuisine offered by Yun Ting Chinese Restaurant was exquisite and delicious, and the vegetarian options on the à la carte menu were thoughtful. The global buffet at Shi Ji All Day Dining offered a wide variety of dishes, satisfying different taste preferences, whether local or international, and starting the day with full energy.
Not to be forgotten are the hotel's complete entertainment and leisure facilities, including a 24-hour fitness center, spa, indoor pool, and more. After enjoying a relaxing service at the spa, I participated in a healthy run, breathing in the fresh air and exploring the surrounding scenery, feeling the harmony and unity of body and mind.
In addition, the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Jiangsu Garden Expo Park, allowing me to get close to nature, experience a dialogue with flowers and trees, and achieve unprecedented peace and relaxation of the mind.
This stay at the Westin Nanjing Resort & Spa was a comprehensive enjoyment of body, mind, and spirit. Whether it's a family trip, a couple's vacation, or personal relaxation, this is the perfect choice. I can't wait to experience it again, and I believe there will be new discoveries and surprises every time I visit.

Will you visit Nanjing Garden Expo Park in autumn?
Forget about being a special forces soldier, I just want to have a good vacation!
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Nanjing Garden Expo Park is a good choice. The park is picturesque in autumn, with trees dressed in golden autumn colors and the charm of Jiangnan gardens.
🏨The main building is designed in a garden style, with large floor-to-ceiling windows in the all-day dining restaurant, lobby, and other areas, complemented by a water platform, offering a panoramic view of the Garden Expo Park.
Dining during your stay🍽
Order a Ferris wheel🎡afternoon tea in the lobby and enjoy a slow-paced vacation. For dinner, there is Yunting Chinese Restaurant, with an elegant dining environment, perfect for gatherings and dates. 🥣The all-day dining restaurant offers a rich breakfast, and I love the special old duck vermicelli soup and Jinling meat buns💕
🏨A hotel perfect for a vacation, with complete facilities such as hot springs, swimming pools, and children's playgrounds.
A little surprise in the Garden Expo Park: I met a few cute cats🐈outdoors, so if you like cats, you can prepare some cat food!

Great Family Vacation Spot: Garden Expo Park
📍 Jiangsu Garden Expo Park
The Garden Expo Park has canceled the previous 🎫 and replaced it with Su Yun Thirteen Gardens (70💰) and Hugging Paradise (50💰), which is very friendly👌 for friends who just want to stroll around the park.
The Garden Expo Park is divided into 5 major areas:
1️⃣ Mirror Square: Avant-Garde Bookstore, Time Post Office, and Coca-Cola Museum are nearby. There are also KFC, DQ, Bawang Tea Princess, etc.~
2️⃣ Hugging🫂 Paradise: A great place for adults to free their hands
3️⃣ Su Yun Thirteen Gardens: Cultural exhibitions, immersive performances
4️⃣ Future Garden: Underwater botanical garden🌳
5️⃣ Peacock🦚 Garden: The largest peacock🦚 ecological park in East China, with about 1,000 peacocks.
🚉 Transportation Guide:
Recommended to drive there~
Gate 1 ➡️ Direct access to Mirror Square, Hugging Paradise
Gate 2 ➡️ Peacock🦚 Garden, Future Garden
Gate 4 ➡️ Hotels🏨, vehicles🚗
🏨 Hotels:
There are 7 hotels🏨 in the park: Nanjing Junmao Hotel Autograph Collection, Nanjing Westin Hot Spring Resort, Nanjing Garden Expo Banyan Tree, Nanjing Garden Expo Indigo Hotel, Nanjing Garden Expo Huanghua'an Hotel, Nanjing Garden Expo Voco Hotel, Nanjing Radisson Collection Resort.
I stayed at the Westin and Autograph Collection in the park. Both hotels have playgrounds🎠 for kids, which they really liked. The Westin's pool is shared with the Autograph Collection, which only has a popular hot spring♨️ but no heated pool. I have to say, the breakfast at the Autograph Collection is quite good. The first time I stayed, there was a la carte steak and Jinling big meat buns for breakfast🥣, but not the second time. Overall, the breakfast quality is still good.
🍽 Dining Recommendations: Ban Shan You Yu, Ye Chun, Hua Chu, snacks, etc.~
🗓 Itinerary:
The Garden Expo Park is quite large, with a small train and cable car🚡 inside. There is a fireworks🎆 show at certain times of the year, which is very impressive. It is recommended to take the shuttle bus inside the park, with unlimited rides. You can get a park map🗺️ when you enter and plan your playtime accordingly.
The Garden Expo Park is definitely a recommended spot for family vacations🏖 in Nanjing!!!

Budget travelers are moved to tears, you must stay at this place when you come to Nanjing!
Travel: Depart from Taizhou on Friday, 120 kilometers, without passing through the Jiangyin Bridge, smooth and no traffic jams, arriving in one and a half hours;
Geographical location: Inside Nanjing Tangshan Garden Expo Park, blue sky and white clouds, surrounded by green mountains, beautiful environment;
Hotel family-friendly content: A small playground, an outdoor small sandpit (too hot, did not experience), a small swimming pool (1.2-1.5 meters deep, 25 meters long), DIY cake making during buffet dinner;
Parking: The hotel has five floors, parking on the third floor, with charging piles, very few parking spaces, no spots on Saturday, parked on the roadside, charging piles occupied by fuel cars, electric cars should be fully charged before traveling;
Dining: The hotel has two restaurants, breakfast at the Western restaurant on the fourth floor, very basic breakfast with nothing special, lunch and dinner can be at the Chinese restaurant on the third floor or the buffet on the fourth floor, the buffet is only open on Friday and Saturday nights, there is nothing to eat within five or six kilometers around the hotel, takeout can only be delivered to the entrance of the Garden Expo Park, my daughter is almost three years old, no dietary restrictions, experienced both the buffet dinner and the Chinese restaurant, the buffet is 258 per person, mainly eating crayfish, nothing else to eat, ordered three dishes at the Chinese restaurant for about 400 yuan, the taste is okay;
Room: We stayed on the fifth floor, very quiet, the basic room is quite large, a 1.8-meter bed is enough for a small child, with a balcony, convenient for drying clothes, the bathroom door has no sealing strip at the bottom, be careful of water overflow and slipping, the air conditioning is hard to describe, either too hot or too cold, adjusted several times in the middle of the night;
Service: The hotel service is still very good, no more to say.
With temperatures close to forty degrees, purely staying in the hotel, the family-friendly attributes of the hotel are average, but the scenery of the Garden Expo Park outside is still very good, there is also a children's amusement park, we did not play, I think it is more suitable to bring children when it is cooler.

The budget travelers were moved to tears, you must stay at this place when you come to Nanjing!
Parking: During the Qingming holiday, we went to Jiangsu Garden Expo Park in Nanjing and booked the Westin in the park. We stayed here last April as well. Both the outdoor and underground parking are available, and the hotel also has a shuttle bus that runs every half hour, which can take you to various attractions in the park.
Service: After confirming the room, a text message will be sent. When entering the Garden Expo Park, just show the information to the gatekeeper to enter the park without buying a ticket. After checking in at the hotel front desk, you will receive a wristband, which allows you to take the sightseeing bus in the park. Since it is a resort hotel, there is no executive lounge, so no welcome fruits were provided. The Titanium Card offered a pack of soft drinks. We booked a twin room as we were traveling with children, and the hotel called us in advance to confirm the room type. We planned to celebrate a birthday that day, and they also sent a cake. Overall, the service was good.
Facilities: The hotel has an indoor heated swimming pool and provides towels. You just need to bring your own bathrobe. Outside the pool is an outdoor hot spring pool. It was quite cold at night, so we soaked in our room to relax. There is also a children's play area and a gym.
Breakfast: However, the breakfast this time was not as good as last year. Last year, the food was abundant, and there were many fresh fruits. But this time, the variety of breakfast was significantly reduced, and there were hardly any fruits, and the quality was not great.

Budget travelers are moved to tears, you must stay at this place when you come to Nanjing!
The hotel is located within Nanjing Garden Expo Park. The exterior of the hotel is really beautiful. I recently went to Xi'an, where there are also many hotels with ancient-style architecture (Westin, Jiayueli), but they are more imposing. The buildings in Nanjing feel more gentle and comfortable. A flower tree in the lobby is particularly eye-catching, giving a strong vacation vibe. Since I bought breakfast, the front desk offered complimentary snacks, including ice cream, fruit plates, and fried foods. I chose the points.
The room is relatively large. The so-called private hot spring is actually a bathtub with a garden view. This hotel has many irregular circular design elements, and the design is great. The bedding is the usual Westin Heavenly Bed, very comfortable. Westin's special white tea aroma and toiletries also help you relax quickly.
I accidentally broke the stone box holding the toiletries in the room. Apologetically, I called the front desk staff. Unexpectedly, they kept asking if I was hurt by the fragments and quickly sent a cleaning lady to replace and clean it up. Very considerate.
Breakfast is relatively a low point. Since this is a resort hotel, the breakfast area is very large, but the actual variety of food is not that much, and the taste is average, creating a sense of contrast.

The Westin Nanjing Hot Spring is super convenient for taking kids out
||The Jiangsu Garden Expo Park is huge, suitable for staying a night and strolling leisurely.
The Westin is right in the middle of the park, the location couldn't be better.
I booked it for 968, and got a total of 12000 points back worth 600, which is like paying only three hundred something, and it included tickets, feels like the lowest price ever...
Parking the car at the hotel and taking the hotel shuttle to various sightseeing spots is very convenient.
You can walk to the nearby garden area, driving there is super circuitous!
♨️There are 2 outdoor hot springs, and the water temperature of 38 degrees is just right.
There is a 300 square meter kids' club on the first floor, so even if the weather is bad, it won't be boring. We didn't even go to the Hug Hug Paradise, it's more relaxing to walk with the kids inside the hotel.
The hotel upgraded us to a private hot spring room, but it's actually just a big bathtub, maybe there's some misunderstanding about private hot springs.
Those who are keen on private hot springs should stay at the neighboring Aotuge.
The quality of breakfast is good, with some items I haven't seen elsewhere.
There is a cotton candy chocolate tower, which the kids were super excited to see.
🍱Dining
You need to book in advance for dinner at the hotel's Chinese restaurant.
Yechun Xiaoguan and Yechun Tea House are in Yangzhou Garden, and they offer good value for money.
The Hug Hug Restaurant is in Hug Hug Paradise.
There are several hotels to choose from within the park, and the extra benefits should be similar👇Playing for two days and one night is still quite cost-effective.
✔️Parking is convenient
✔️Includes 2 tickets (120r/person)
✔️Free public buses 1, 2, 3, 4 (30r/person)
✔️Free hotel shuttle (to and from several hotels and sightseeing spots)
✔️You can stroll leisurely without rush, there is a firework show at 18:30
✔️You can go back to the hotel for a hot spring soak when tired♨️
➡️Only the mini train and cable car are charged separately when staying at the hotel:
🚂Mini train: one-way 30r, unlimited on the same day for 60r, free for under 1.1m
🚡Cable car: one-way 60r, round-trip 100r

Rave reviews for this Nanjing hotel! It's so perfect for bringing kids!
🌈 Located right inside the Expo Garden, this hotel is incredibly suitable for families with children! The hotel's nearly 300 square meters of children's play facilities are themed around 'Forest Walk,' creating a dreamlike fairy tale kingdom for family trips. The kids played all day and didn't want to leave 🤩...

In Nanjing
a hotel worth revisiting for the cave hot springs.
This hotel is truly unique, converted from a cement factory! The strong industrial style, the factory's chimneys, water towers, boiler rooms and other elements are retro and textured.
The rooms are also industrial style, super cool but very warm~ The space is very open, and the mattress is really comfortable! We also stayed at the Westin Hot Springs Resort in Nanjing next to it, the candy flying house room type is really girlish and fun~ If you are traveling with children, it is recommended to choose Westin (there is a children's playground).
The cave hot springs must be checked in.
Because it is located in the Tangshan Hot Spring Area, you can easily achieve hot spring freedom! Don't miss the Turkish cave hot springs~ The sparkling water surface and the arc-shaped ceiling are really great for taking pictures! The more you soak in the hot springs of Tangshan, the more comfortable you feel, and there are saunas and spas (the techniques are very good, recommended).
The Expo Park is also worth a visit.
The Expo Park is very large, the hotel is in the center of the park, adjacent to the Time Art Valley, you can see the Expo Park landmark landscape - Nanjing Clock Tower everywhere. There is also a popular check-in point Pioneer Bookstore nearby.
