Highly recommend The Westin Xiamen.
It's about a 15-minute drive from the airport.
But it's about 6 km from Zhongshan Road and Shapowei, and 6-7 km from the beach.
The gym is quite large and there is a yoga room.
The bed is really soft and comfortable, and the experience is great.
The lounge is also good, and the food is quite satisfactory after a few days of experience.
PS: The cleaning aunt is really nice. I wanted a nail clipper. The hotel didn't have one, so she lent me hers. The service is great.

The hotel is located in a relatively central location on Xiamen Island, so you can't see the sea. There are three museums around Xiamen Museum, Science and Technology Museum, and Library. Shopping is a bit inadequate, as if there is no big business district. But the floor height is here, and you can see the traffic on the main road of the city at night, and there are no other views. Experience it.
Now the newer hotels are built according to the business district or view, and the old hotels are indeed a bit inadequate.
There are quite a few good hotels on the island, but due to the need for protection, I still chose Westin to consume points. No matter what, the price is here, and this bedding is worth the price. The bed is really comfortable. If you don't have any requirements for the view and shopping, it can be said that it is a very cost-effective choice.
I also booked Andaz and W later, and I always wanted to stay at Waldorf and Conrad next time I came to Xiamen.
I turned around Gulangyu in the afternoon, and I still hope that the group can open a hotel on Gulangyu. I stayed in Xiamen last time and stayed in Gulangyu for one night. I stayed in a homestay. The price was not cheap but the quality was not good. I think if a group hotel is stationed, the quality can be guaranteed. But then again, there are fewer tourists on Gulangyu Island at night, so the experience is very good. Being able to find a place of peace in the city, slow down and walk in the ruins of history and culture is indeed a unique experience.

Cloud Sea Trail Health Path: From Xiamen Tianzhu Rock Temple to Century Peace Park
After breakfast at the Westin Hotel in Xiamen on the weekend, cross the Xianyue Road overpass, walk for more than 10 minutes, and start the Cloud Sea Trail Health Path exercise from Xianyue Mountain Park.
From the south gate of Xianyue Park, walk up the mountain trail, and you will reach the famous Xiamen Tianzhu Rock Temple. To the left along the quiet health trail is the direction to Dongdu/Haicang. To the right is the direction to SM/Subway Line 1 Tangbian Station.
This time, I plan to choose to walk towards the direction of Haicang Bridge. While exercising, you can also enjoy flowers & overlook the city's beautiful scenery (mainly the Haicang Bridge and the urban landscape of the Sea World). During the Spring Festival travel rush, there are many inbound flights, and you can see a plane ✈️ flying over the Haicang Bridge every 5 minutes or so. I think, if it's evening, this is definitely also the best spot for appreciating and photographing the sunset and afterglow.
Finally, follow the signs along the way to Century Peace Park, pass Dongdu Second Primary School, and take the bus home from Yueyang Community Station.

Tianzhu Rock Temple is located on Xianyue Mountain on the north side of Lianyue Road in Huli District, Xiamen City. It belongs to Heshan Xianyue Community. The temple was founded in the late Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1712—1722), and because it stands alone on a solitary ridge and is hidden in deep mountains, it is rarely visited, and the history of its destruction and reconstruction is unclear. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, a monk from Nanshan Temple in Zhangzhou, Zhuanmi, took up residence here, worked hard, and rebuilt the temple, insisting on the dual practice of agriculture and Zen. In the early 1930s, the abbot of Miaoshi Temple, Master Shanlin, rebuilt and expanded the temple halls and dormitories, covering an area of more than 300 square meters. After Master Shanlin passed away, his disciple Master Zhengming inherited his mantle. On the eve of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, the temple was destroyed by war and reduced to ruins.
In 1998, the reconstruction of Tianzhu Rock Temple was approved by the municipal government. The Buddhist venue was presided over by Monk Shi Mingde from Nanputuo Temple. The temple is designed according to traditional Chinese temples, with a focus on axial symmetry, and the architectural complex is based on yellow walls and yellow tiles, representing the traditional Minnan style. With the support of the ten directions of the Sangha, the temple has begun to take shape, and the Dharma Hall, North and South Arhat Halls, Bell and Drum Tower, Ancestor Hall, and Guan Gong Hall have been completed.

Lovely view, comfortable bed!
The Westin Xiamen is located in the CDB and is close to a nice park with lots of trees and a hill. We stayed in the club room which had a big living room, a very comfy bed and great city views. We had club lounge access which had an evening happy hour with wine and cocktails from 5.30-7.30pm. The food in the club lounge wasn’t bad, but it was very meat heavy and oily. Breakfast was decent.
