Huangxing Cave 🇨🇳 Zhangjiajie
It's a massive cave, its vast, it's impressive, it's a little odd too.
In Zhangjiajie, there are so many stunning mountainous trails and hikes to go on and I'd recommend them. The national park and Tianmenshan to name a couple places to start. But for whatever reason if you wanted to do something different this could be it.
In Huangxing cave you'll arrive to the tourist centre and it looks like a variety of farm houses, modern build information booths and local food stalls. You'll join a line to enter the cave and they'll provide you with an earpiece and a tour guide if you so wish.
Once inside you'll see:
Vast caverns
Stalagmites
Stalactites
Boat tours
Multi-coloured light projections
Bridges
Cobbled paths and stairs
Lots of people
It's something different and it is impressive.

Yellow Dragon Cave
The Yellow Dragon Cave is a place that you can’t miss if you are in the city of Zhangjiajie. One of the world largest stalactites and stalagmites formation in the world inside this cave. Some of the stalactites and stalagmites was huge and there over million of years.
It is a large cave and lots of steps required to walk. It is also necessary a boat ride to see some parts. The whole visit should last between around 2 hours with a guide.
This place should be a priority in your trip as it’s part of the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The colourful lighting enhances the details of the cave. On summer months, the cool temperature inside is a nice escape from the heat If you are not use to long walks uphill It’s best to bring hiking poles for the journey to save your knees.

Underground Wonder Of Yellow Dragon
#100WaysOfTravel
The Yellow Dragon Cave is located in the Wulingyuan district of Zhangjiajie city, although it seems that Zhangjiajie and Wulingyuan are different cities, and it takes half an hour or more to drive between them through mountains and fields. But no, this is one Zhangjiajie city with different districts.
It takes about 2 hours to drive from Zhangjiajie city center to the railway station.
The cave is cool, at first you go in and it seems that you have seen dozens of them: stalactites, stalagmites, lighting, passages and halls, but not everything is so simple — it is really huge.
We walked along it for over an hour. Lots of stairs, halls, tunnels. There are several places where you can take pictures. And at the end you go out to the playground, look down, and there's a beautiful staircase with lights at the bottom and boats are visible.
Next to the cave there is a cool big park and a lot of souvenirs. Therefore, if you take a quiet walk everywhere, you will be able to do it in 2 hours, and even if you have already been to many caves, like us, you can come here. It is impressive.
A little bit more information:
The cave system, covering a total area of 48 hectares, stretches for 15 km in length and is divided into dry and wet levels. There are four levels, thirteen chambers, three underground waterfalls, two underground rivers, three pools, ninety-six passages, as well as an underground lake. The largest chamber in the cave is 4,000 square meters, and the height of the tallest of the three waterfalls is 50 meters. The guided tour of the cave lasts about two hours and includes a boat trip along one of the underground rivers.
Such a cave can truly be called a miracle of nature, and it is not surprising that many people come to China specifically to visit here. Many tourists also claim that after visiting it, they found inner harmony.

A Sunny and Breezy Day for a Half-Day Tour of the Yellow Dragon Cave in Zhangjiajie
As soon as you enter the scenic area, a golden sea of rapeseed flowers comes into view, swaying gracefully in the breeze.
Inside the cave, the unique stalactite formations are a sight to behold. The ancient stone walls and the well-placed steps seem to tell the stories of the ages.
What is most astonishing is the cave under the colorful lights, which seems to turn into a dreamlike fantasy. Some resemble animals, some like waves crashing, and others like luxurious buildings. Each spot is a masterpiece of nature, making one marvel at the creator's magic.

Zhangjiajie Huanglong Cave--the masterpiece of nature
Huanglong Cave is very close to the east gate (landmark gate) of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, about 10 kilometers away, about 15 minutes by taxi, or you can take the No. 1 bus directly to the scenic area. The whole tour takes about 2 hours. The cave is warm in winter and cool in summer, with unique scenery, which is very worth visiting.
The scenic area will arrange a guide to explain the whole process, and each person will be given a headset. Don't go your own way, otherwise you won't be able to appreciate the beauty of the cave, and you might get lost.
As soon as you enter the cave, you will be immediately surrounded by stalagmites and columns of various shapes. Under the illumination of colorful lights, they are beautiful.
Continue to move forward, come to the Xiangshui River Wharf, take a small boat, and move forward along the winding Xiangshui River to appreciate the rock wonders on both banks. The river has nine bends and eighteen bends, with a length of more than 2800 meters, but the actual tour is only more than 800 meters.
After getting off the boat, you need to climb a long, long staircase to reach the essence of Huanglong Cave--Dragon Palace. This is the largest and oldest hall among the thirteen halls of Huanglong Cave, with more than 1800 columns. These columns are of various shapes and colorful, which are breathtaking.
The commentator said that these stalactites grow 1 centimeter every 100 years. There is a treasure of the cave in the cave-Dinghai Shenzhen, which is 19.2 meters high and insured for 100 million RMB.

The most complete natural cave landscape in the world - Huanglong Cave
Is Zhangjiajie Huanglong Cave worth visiting?
Of course, it's too worth it! Because it's just too beautiful!
Huanglong Cave Scenic Area is the most complete and largest natural cave area in the world, a part of the World Heritage, a part of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
It takes at least 7 kilometers to visit inside, you must have a guide, it's easy to get lost.
How big is it, after entering, you have to climb mountains and take boats, and it's vertical stairs climbing! It's really bigger than expected.
This is the first time I have seen, sitting on a boat on the underground dark river for a long time, climbing mountains up and down thousands of steps in the cave.
The inside is very, very humid! The clothes are all water vapor, penetrating! The fastest walk takes two hours.
(I feel that those with claustrophobia and acrophobia are not suitable to go.)
This is a real landscape deposited over billions of years, it's too spectacular! It feels like entering the Dragon Palace haha!
Bus No. 2 goes directly to the scenic area
Tickets can be purchased on the online platform
The official ticket includes boat tickets and guide explanation. The guide sisters are very good, without any nonsense and sales. It's too worth a visit!

Huanglong colorful cave
Location: Huanglong cave, Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China
Entrance fee: 96¥ (cave ticket + boat)
Date: July 20, 2022
Huanglong cave also known as Yellow Dragon cave is a very beautiful cave in Zhangjiajie. There are dry and wet caves.
The entrance and exit of the cave were not so attractive, because there was less light, but the central part was really incredible, so most of the pictures I took here. Colorful lights make the cave more stunning.

Huanglong Cave
There wasn’t our first choice but we decided to visit it . And it worth to see at least once .
As for me , multicolored lights kill the vibe from the natural attractions . But it looks good on the pictures at least 😎. another artificial thing I noticed is fake fog on the water.
inside the cave is fresh and I would say freeze. Stalactites and stalagmites looks so real.
My summary is next : there are some artificial things in this cave , so if you’re a fun of virgin nature or ancient stuff - you might be disappointed. Anyway it looks special and interesting to visit it once .

Huanglong cave
Location: Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China
Price: July, 2022
96 (60 entrance ticket, boat ride 36)
If you are in Zhangjiajie and have extra days or if the weather is not suitable for visiting the National forest park (it was raining heavily an the stuff told us only elevator site is open to the public, other sites are closed because of the rainy weather) then visiting Huanglong (Yellow Dragon) cave can be a good idea. It’s a huge cave with lights and tickets include also a boat ride which lets you feel how big it is.
At the beginning it was like any other cave with less lights compared to the ones I have been before only later I discovered that it is special because of its size

Friends who like to enjoy the cave view must not miss the Huanglong Cave, which has the reputation of World Karst Almighty Champion, and travel to Huanglong Cave in the summer. Dont be too cool! The caves are grotesque, and the various stalagmites, stone pillars, and stone stalactites are all in different forms.
is best known for its 200,000-year-old "Dinghai Shenzhen" - a stalagmite column of up to 20 meters. The scenic area has also insured it for 100 million yuan. If you are sightseeing in the cave, walk for a while, then Take a boat on the pier next to the dark river, float on the stream in the cave, and watch the wonders of various stalagmites in the dark environment, quite like the picture described in The Tomb Notes.
MaMatrip.
Visit the magical underground "Magic Palace" - Huanglong Cave, which is located in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area of Zhangjiajie. The total area of the cave is about 100,000 square meters, with a total length of about 12 kilometers and a vertical height of 140 meters. There are four layers of caves and water holes in the cave. There are holes in the cave. There are rivers in the cave, huge cave space and tens of thousands of stalagmites, stone pillars, stalactites, and various caves. Nothing is wrong, no wonder.

The most famous of Huanglongdong is this pinnacle of the sea. On April 18, 1998, Huanglongdong Scenic Spot bought insurance for the insurance company for one hundred million yuan, setting a world first for insurance for resource assets.
It is odd in shape, thick at both ends, thin in the middle, and the thinnest part is only 10 cm in diameter. Growing on the collapsed slope, it is the tallest stalagmite in the Huanglong Cave. There is dripping water at the top. It is still growing and developing. It is estimated that it takes 60,000 years to stand up.
The stone pillar that rises from the ground is so spectacular. Listening to the commentator, if you want to know if these stone pillars will be long, then it depends on whether there is dripping water on it. If it is dripping, it will gradually grow longer, but the process is very very A long process.
Beiou.
I have always liked caves, and many caves have been visited, but I still don't see the magical world in this cave.
Huanglong Cave is near Wulingyuan. It takes only 15 yuan to take a taxi from Xibu Street. You can also choose to take the bus No.1. There is still a distance from the gate to the entrance, and chatting with friends does not feel far away.
Although the caves are all similar, but Huanglong Cave is very attractive to me. After entering, you can take a boat to explore a distance.
There is a hole in the hole inside the hole, and there is a river in the hole, which is beautiful.
Sitting on a cruise ship to visit the cave, this experience is the first time. I used to play in a cave in Yunnan, but I was sitting outside the cave. The feeling of taking a boat in a cave is completely different. The multicolored lights hit the rock wall and reflected on the water. It is beautiful.
