3 days in San Francisco: Day 1
Recently spent 3 days in SF and have been here many times growing up, so decided to share what I personally think are the “must visits” as a tourist in the Bay to make your trip worth it!
1. Ferry Building ⛴️
Let’s start here!
There are usually flea/farmers markets on the outside! Great for getting gifts or the usual San Francisco t-shirts. There used to be wayyyy more shops inside :( but theres like a store selling local art/creations, good if you love to support the local art scene! There’s also blue bottle coffee within the building for all you coffee lovers to sip on that hot latte and enjoy the breeze while watching the ferry boats ☕️🫶🏼
2. Pier 39 / Fisherman’s Warf 🦭
After visiting the ferry building and taking photos of it’s beautiful scenery of the sea outside, you can walk down the piers from ferry boat building or take the Muni bus (8-12min ride) to Pier 39 / Fisherman’s Warf! Here you can see the sea lions sun bathing & Alcatraz prison (the inspiration for Azkaban in HP) 🧙🏼
You can then walk down even more to just enjoy the scenery and breeze, go to the mini shops and carousel, or have a bowl of clam chowder! My favourite is Boudin’s clam chowder in sourdough bread bowl 🫶🏼
3. SF Cable Car Ride 🚠
A few more piers down til the end (about Pier 45) you can walk to the cable car terminal and ride it along SF!
It stops at places like Chinatown or other touristy spots as well! You can also drop at the very last stop for some shopping at Union Square.. If the shops are even still open (they close at like 6) 🤭
That’s all for a chill day in the Bay, stay tuned for 2 and 3!

Union Square San Francisco 🇺🇸
#timetotravel
Union Square in San Francisco is the vibrant heart of the city, a bustling hub of activity that captures the essence of urban life. Surrounded by high-end shops, theaters, and iconic hotels, it's a place where the energy of the city comes alive.
As you stand in the middle of Union Square, you're surrounded by the towering skyline, and the cable cars clatter by, adding to the charm. The park itself, with its manicured lawns and iconic Dewey Monument, is an oasis of green amidst the urban jungle.
It's not just a shopping district; it's a cultural and social epicenter. Street performers entertain the crowds, and during the holiday season, the square transforms into a winter wonderland with a massive Christmas tree and an ice skating rink.
Union Square is where the diversity and vibrancy of San Francisco converge, making it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the city.

Take advantage of the Labor Day long weekend and travel to San Francisco. We departed from Vancouver Airport (after being stuck in a long line due to airport strikes in the past).
Scared, ended up asking for an early check-in three hours in advance.
It seems that everything is back to normal now, and everyone can travel normally.

Transportation meeting: Due to the unique terrain of Jinshan on the 1st day (the slope is too steep, driving is like riding a roller coaster, as can be seen from Figure 9) and
The attractions are relatively concentrated, so we don't recommend self-driving. We mainly took sightseeing buses and shuttle buses (which can be taken at each stop).
Up and down at any time, and without waiting for a long time when asking, I will write another guide for Ding Ding cars separately (please pay attention to it), and then use Uber and Lyft to take a taxi, which is very convenient!
.
Accommodation recommendation: We stayed at Palihotel near Union Square, backing onto Chinatown and located in the city center, making it convenient for shopping and visiting various attractions! The hotel staff were very friendly, but the sink in the room was very small... (! If you're looking for accommodation, avoid the Tenderloin area, which is the most chaotic.)
•
Number of attractions: I think the order of the attractions arranged by the sightseeing bus is pretty good. We got on the bus halfway and the order was roughly: Chinatown.
(Having lunch):
Take the bus at SAA Union Square and get off at Jinmen Bridge Park.
California Academy of Sciences, Diyang Art Museum, Japanese Tea Garden
All here) Get off at the north bank of the Golden Gate Bridge and take photos at the Palace of Fine Arts, Soan, Jiucuohuajie, Sadt, and Fisherman's Wharf. (We recommend everyone to download)
BigBusTours app can monitor the next bus in real time.

The most instagrammable places in San Francisco you don’t have to miss!
1) Union Square and the heart of the city.
The main square surrounded by large skyscrapers where everything flows fast, but there is always time to take a look at the hearts here hosted as a symbol of a city where love knows no barriers.
2) The Powell Street trams
A few steps further on you will find the historic tram station (or Cable Cars) on Powell Street.
3) Pier 39: the pier and the sea lions.
4) City Hall
5) Alamo Square – Painted Ladies
This was one of my absolute favorite stages. The Victorian-style houses throng much of the city and look like real doll houses.
6) Lombard Street: the most tortuous road in the world.
7) Twin Peaks: one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the city.
8) Haight Ashbury: the district of the Summer of Love.
9) Golden Gate Bridge
The incredible and gigantic symbol of the city, as well as the longest suspension bridge in the world.

Union Square is basically one of the must-see destinations for visitors from all over the world. Although the area is small, the excellent location of the transportation hub has become a highlight of the city. Every festival is full of excitement. .
We came here during Christmas, the huge Christmas tree in the square and the lively Christmas atmosphere in the surrounding shopping malls, the square is also set up as an ice rink, where both tourists and locals gather here, together Feel the festive atmosphere.
This is also one of the most famous shopping malls in San Francisco. The Fifth Avenue, Macy's, Westfield and other shopping malls are more than just adjacent. During the festival, there are many discounts.
Helen..
Union Square is the transportation center of San Francisco. The Powell-Mason and Powell-Hyde two-line cable cars pass through the plaza, and the buses on the route almost pass through here or near the main street. The traffic is very convenient. The so-called "Union Square" refers to a place between Post St., Stockton St., Geary St. and Powell St. Only 1 hectare of small square.
At first I thought it was a big square. Later I found out that it was completely fooled by the name...there is no big park at home...
