But actually Hongkongers should be very familiar with the train compartment - it had been in service for a long time until the extension of East Rail line to Admiralty. It seems that the train compartment will be decorated with festive items, e.g. bells and Christmas leaves for Christmas.

How to get there: MTR Exhibition Centre station / 15minutes walk from MTR Wan Chai station. From here, you can enjoy the festive decorations at the waterfront leisure area as well as the buildings at Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui. However, you may note that some of the decorations had already been removed after the New Year Day (the duration of Christmas lights was really short...).

Interestingly, the train had been retired upon the extension of East Rail Line to Hong Kong Island. So it had never been on Hong Kong Island before this exhibition, and is not really quite compatible with Hong Kong Island. Nevertheless, it is still worthwhile to pay a visit and enjoy some historical memories.

#freehotelstay It's one of those things I love in HK: promenades. Harbour Chill in Wan Chai Temporary Promenade showcases this station with a retired train. It's one of the recycling efforts being done and it's a great change where children can play around. I kept looking inside and outside the train. I never realised it could be that spacious. Walk From Central to Wan Chai

It's possible. It really is, as long as you stay on the promenade side. It's quite a long walk but the view of Kowloon side is beautiful. You also get to see many people chilling, biking, jogging, walking, taking pictures, and playing with their kids or dogs.
