Xichong Beach, Shenzhen
#shenzhentrip
Xichong Beach, situated in the eastern part of Shenzhen, is a renowned destination for those seeking a more serene and natural beach experience compared to other more commercialized beaches in the area. The beach is known for its unspoiled, golden sands and clear waters, making it a tranquil escape from the city.
Visitors often praise the natural beauty and relatively uncrowded atmosphere at Xichong Beach. It's a great spot for sunbathing, swimming, and water sports.

Crazy hiking in Shenzhen 🌴
The hiking trail starts at 东冲沙滩 and ends at the Beach n. 4.
🌱There are no signs for it, so you need to ask the locals. Just show them the pictures of the place and they will tell you where to go. It's next to the dock and boats.
🌱 This trail is one of the best hiking experiences I had in China. There are different paths you can follow, most of it alongside the sea. You can experience raw nature and climb your way through the trees. There are also ropes and chains to help you go up and down. In some places it's a bit extreme, but manageable.
🌱 A tip: it's better to wear long pants and sport shoes, otherwise your clothes will get super dirty. Also bring a pair of gloves ( can be bought before the entrance), ot will save your hands.
🌱 It's quite a long hike and will take more than 4hours. If you feel tired, don't worry, there are boats that pass by from time to time and can take you anywhere you want for 50rmb.
Enjoy!

✨ GOLDEN WEEK ✨ week in Xichong 🏝
Getting There - You can take the train, bus or a DiDi when going to Xichong.
Attractions - There are the four main beaches as well as the freshest seafood restaurants, bars, and little shops to buy souvenirs from.
Hotels - Xichong has a lot of different types of accommodation. I usually book at one of the four that I usually book at just because the locations are extremely convenient for getting around especially if you hire a scooter to scoot around with.
Food & Restaurants - There are loads of fresh seafood restaurants. GWILD and comet has got some good food on their menus also.
Shopping - unfortunately I haven’t seen any malls in xichong however there are little shops on every corner where you can buy beach things and souvenirs from.

Xichong Nights
Took a sneaky spontaneous trip for two days to Xichong with some friends. We stayed at this cute little hotel which was very close to everything. Walking distance to the beach, bars and good restaurants.
The first night we went to a local seafood restaurant where the locals were very happy to host us. The freshest seafood I’ve had in a long time if I must say so myself.
The next day, we went for a Thai breakfast and head off to the beach for the entire day. Finished the day of with some snack platters and cocktails before heading back to the hotel for a nap. When we woke up we were all craving a juicy burger. GWILD is the place to go if you want good western food in xichong.
We ended the night playing a few rounds of CLUEDO and having a few Coronas.
Last morning we went to a place called Comet for brunch and headed back to Shenzhen.
It was a much needed staycation!

incredible coastline near Shenzhen
Shenzhen Xichong Beach is a scenic spot in Longgang District, Shenzhen, China. It is located in the south part of the Dapeng Peninsula, facing the South China Sea with Mirs Bay on the west and Daya Bay on the East.
Shenzhen Xichong Beach is one of eight most beautiful beaches in the country and also the largest one in Shenzhen. Traveling here can get you away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Visitors can embrace the blue sea, feel invincible sea view and relax you. Because of traffic inconvenience, few outsiders come here. It is 20 kilometers away from Shenzhen Dongchong Beach along the coast. Along the way can see blue and transparent sea, as well as purple flowers open in the mountains.
Xichong attracts tourists mainly because of its long beach and surf. It is in eastern Shenzhen in the Dapeng National Park, a popular recreational and scenic part of the city. In 2006 Chinese National Geographic named Dapeng Peninsula as one of the ten most beautiful parts of China. To its north is Qiniang Mountain, the second highest mountain of the city. Since this is one of the least populated and most remote parts of Shenzhen, it is not easy to access Xichong Beach. Private cars can be hired in Dapeng or Nan'ao, and regular buses travel from these towns to Dongchong and Xichong Beaches (M231 and M232). There is also a popular hiking trail running down the coast between Xichong and Dongchong (approx 10km).

A Solo Journey - Transversing from East to West
At Shenzhen North Station, take the E11 bus to Dapeng Center. On weekdays, there are few people, and there are seats available at every stop, with a two-hour journey.
Then transfer to the M231 to Dongchong Community (starting from the mountain road) or Dongchong Bathing Beach (starting from the beach). I chose to start from the mountain road. After passing the second signpost, there is a small fork in the road. Wanting to get to the beach quickly, I took the fork, which turned out to be extremely dangerous. The path was steep with no ropes, and the cliff only had short grass to grasp. I didn't dare to continue down and had to turn back, my legs went soft, and I almost didn't make it back. You should follow the signposts to reach the beach safely.
The journey is physically demanding as you use both hands and feet, and it gets increasingly difficult towards the end. Climbing without sufficient physical strength can be very dangerous. The whole journey took 5 hours, and then I walked back to Hebaovillage to take the M232 back to Dapeng Center. The bus service is still very convenient.

My friends all thought I went abroad because the Guangdong version of Yanzi Cave is really worth it
💫 Found the entrance to Sea King World in Shenzhen! The Guangdong version of Yanzi Cave is very worthwhile
🌵 This is the Shenzhen Dongxi Chong coastline, which is one of China's most beautiful coastlines picked by 'China National Geography'. It's really, really beautiful!
🕹 Xichong No. 4 Beach Xichong
🔆 Good weather is very important, the sea is especially blue on sunny days, even more beautiful!
Pay attention to the tide times, as the cave will be submerged after the tide comes in, and then you won't be able to enter to take photos

Xichong Beach is the most beautiful and longest beach in Shenzhen
Xichong Beach is the most beautiful and longest beach in Shenzhen.
The sea in Shenzhen is really so beautiful that it explodes, comparable to Sanya. It perfectly embodies the idioms 'seamless sky and sea' and 'too beautiful for words'.
Xichong Tourist Resort Guide
Xichong Beach is located on the southeastern coastline of the Dapeng Peninsula in Shenzhen and is one of the most beautiful seascapes in China.
Public transportation: From the city, take bus E11 or E26 to Dapeng Center and then transfer to M232 to Xichong No. 2 Bathing Beach bus station. The nearest subway station: Yanzihu (Pingshan District), it still takes about an hour by taxi to get there.
Admission is 28 yuan per person.
The stronger the ultraviolet rays from the sea, the bluer the sea will be. Only with strong sunlight shining into the water can you see the 'glass sea', and with the azure sky reflected on the surface, the sea will appear blue.
Summer is the best season to view the sea, and clear sunny weather is the best time to enjoy the sea view.

The beach in Shenzhen is so beautiful! You can also fish here
It's true, you can catch all sorts of strange fish by the seaside in Shenzhen~
It was my first time sea fishing, and I fell in love with it instantly. Sitting on the rocks by the sea all day, doing nothing and thinking about nothing, just fishing and watching the sea!! It's so relaxing!!! I've completely fallen in love with this place~
Location: Xichong, Shenzhen
Cost: 40 yuan
There are four toll gates on the beach, with gates 1 and 2 located at the entrance of Xigong Village in the west, gate 3 at Heshou Village, and gate 4 at Xinwu Village in the east. If you are driving, it is recommended to visit the Xichong Observatory about 4 kilometers east of Heshou Village, where you can see very beautiful sights. Moreover, the observatory is free to visit by appointment, but since it is past gate 4, a fee of 40 yuan will be charged.
If you like sea fishing, you can also go from gate 4, where there are many rocks on the left, with sea snails, sea urchins, and crabs underneath. It's great for fishing and also for taking kids to catch sea creatures.
This place is really perfect for spending the whole day. It has beautiful beaches, clean waters, and a variety of water activities. On a good day, there's also a stunning sunrise. Watching the sunrise over the sea is very romantic. You can set up a tent on the beach and wait for the sunrise~ Besides sea fishing, you can also take a walk along the beach, or go out to sea on a yacht... There's a lot to do. When I went there, I fished in the morning and had afternoon tea by the beach in the afternoon~
There are not many eateries by the beach, but the special food is beach barbecue haha. You can go to Yishanhai, their place is quite good. They also serve afternoon tea, mainly because the environment is great, eating facing the sea is an amazing feeling. There are also various places for photo ops. Ps: You can park for free if you consume at their place
If you're lucky, you can also see blue tears on the beach at night.

Crossing Dongxi Chong |
|.| One of the eight most beautiful coastlines selected by National Geographic
80% of the wild roads need to go through mountain roads, cliffs, reefs, mud, and iron rope climbing sections. The mountain road is rugged, a 70-degree cliff climb, and the whole journey is exposed to the sun
When you lean against the mountain and face the sea, all the tiredness disappears at this moment
The real sense of 'wind and sun, free and easy'

Shenzhen Travelogue
If I were to choose a seaside experience in Shenzhen, I would call it the most beautiful. I regret not going earlier, it's really too beautiful!
If you ask me where is the best place to see the sea, I would recommend the Shenzhen Observatory to you without hesitation.
📍 Navigate to the No. 4 beach parking point of Xichong Beach. We took the bus directly to Hesu Village, then shared a ride to the shuttle bus starting point (there are many solicitors as soon as you get off the bus, remember to bargain, try to share a ride as much as possible, because it takes a while to walk to the shuttle bus place, it's unnecessary, and there's no scenery along the way), my friend and I spent 15 yuan.
📍 After reaching the starting point of the shuttle bus, we chose to walk through Xichong, the scenery along the way is great. Although some people say that it's a bit difficult to hike along the coastline, it's actually okay, there are many children and elderly people walking, basically no difficulty. Friends who are worried don't need to worry, just go ahead.
📍 When you get to the Elephant Trunk Rock, there's a slope that you can go straight up. Personally, I think it's easy to go up the mountain, but it's a bit slippery to go down. Moreover, after walking along the coastline, climbing up to the observatory to look far away, you will have a different feeling.
📍 Because we didn't make a reservation, we didn't climb to the top, and then we walked to the place where the shuttle bus went down the mountain, 10 yuan per person. After returning to the starting point, we went back the way we came.
📍 In conclusion, it's worth a visit.

Seeing the beach for the first time really shocked me, the deep blue sea paired with the white beach, it's breathtakingly beautiful! The sand is particularly delicate, and the sea water is very clean. The key is that there are very few people on such a large beach. It's so cool to take a walk along the beach and blow the sea breeze. But I really don't understand why such a natural scenery is circled and charged for. And even if it's charged, there's no service or facilities inside. It's even charged twice for washing feet.
Shenzhen crosses the most beautiful coastline from east to west
Warm reminder, be sure to wear climbing shoes, gloves, because it's all big stones, wear a hat, always sweating, the sea breeze is quite strong
The scenery is so beautiful, the view of the sea and the sky is really refreshing.
Burying your head in climbing 🧗🏻♀️ but always challenging yourself, for those who do not usually exercise, this is quite difficult. But there are points in the middle where you can return to Dongyong by speedboat
It's worth a visit

🏝️Beach Paradise in XiChong🏝️
A quirky and hip beach spot located just up the coast from Shenzhen!
Picture perfect beach spot, with golden sand and clear blue sea. This is a great place to relax on the beach itself or make the most of the various beach cafes right on the front that sell cold drinks and snacks.
Surfing is very popular here, and you can rent your own board or even take a quick lesson before hitting the water. Certain areas of the sea are set aside for swimmers also.
Away from the beach is the small village of xichong which has a very relaxed and quirky vibe. Brilliant place for a weekend away.
