🏝Yanfang Ancient Village in Jiangxi is a must-see ancient village. It is a little-known ancient village composed of Gan-style buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. It still retains 102 Ming and Qing buildings, including ancestral halls, schools, ancient residences, ancient wells, archways, and home carvings.
🏝Yanfang Ancient Village is located in Jintan Town, Jishui County, Ji'an City, 3 km from the Gan River and 14 km from downtown Ji'an. The village was built in the middle of the Southern Song Dynasty, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. It was once rated as the most beautiful leisure village in China and is known as the "Pearl of Ji'an." In Yanfang Ancient Village, the architectural styles vary. Some are small houses and courtyards, while others are large mansions. The sizes vary, and the shapes are unique.
🏝The entire ancient village is surrounded by village walls and rivers. The alleys are paved with bluestone slabs, red stone slabs, or cobblestones. The interior and exterior of the ancient residences are painted with gold and wind, and the carvings are exquisite. It is 8 meters high and 9 meters wide, with exquisite patterns and reliefs carved on the lintel, which are vivid and lifelike.
