Located in Feilai feng scenic area, Yongfu temple was built by a monk from India - Master Huili 1600 years ago and opened to the public since the year of 2005. Other than the famous Ling ying temple next to it, this is a temple you cannot miss out as it was surrounded by the stunning nature mountain and forest with chill weather.
If you plan to visit here, i would recommend to arrange at least 2-3 hours walking around and taking picture as the temple is very huge! There is not entrance fee needed for this temple, but to enter into feilai feng, you will still require to purchase a ticket at RMB 45 per person but it is still worth the price as you can get to enjoy over 300 Buddha rock carving along the way to the temple!
How to Get There:
- taking a Didi is the most convenience way
- 20 min away from the centre area
Opening hour:
- 7 am to 6 pm

Seeking the gradient colors of Hangzhou in November
I didn't have the chance to experience the beautiful scenery of Hangzhou during the Asian Games, but I found stunning gradient colors in Hangzhou at the end of November. I've been to Hangzhou many times, and in the past, it was more about nostalgia, missing everything about my school days. Every time I went there, I would stroll along the route I used to take, reminiscing about the 151 tram on Yan'an Road. With two braids trailing behind me, occasionally a braid would come loose, the driver would get off the bus, pull the wire a few times, align it with the track, and then continue driving. This time, I was more in search of beautiful scenery. Hangzhou at the end of November was like a knocked-over palette. Cycling on the road from Lingyin to Beishan Street, the sunlight filtered through the dense leaves, and the golden plane tree leaves slowly fell with the wind. All worries can be put aside for the moment, and there is an irresistible urge to shout out loud. It's really too comfortable. From Jiuxi Yanshu to Lingyin Yongfu Zen Temple, then to Xiling Bridge and Bai Causeway, along Nanshan Road from Taiziwan to Huagang Guanyu, the golden or earthy yellow leaves are interspersed with red Japanese maples, reflected on the water surface, it's hard not to feel that the people of Hangzhou are fortunate.

Live | Yongfu Temple in the early morning is already beautiful to the next level
The maple leaves of Yongfu Temple in the early morning
It is really beautiful to another level. Looking at it in the backlight, you will really sigh
The color matching of nature is so gorgeous, probably half of it is already red, and after a few more days
It is about to usher in the peak of appearance, and there is also a century-old ginkgo in the temple, which is also a good time to shoot
Note:
Don't come to Yongfu Temple too early. If you come too early, there will be no light, and the maple leaves will look ordinary. You can arrive at the temple gate around 8 o'clock.

Yongfu Zen Temple in Hangzhou
It seems that I have captured the embodiment of "a secluded path leading to a tranquil place, where the Zen rooms are deep amidst flowers and trees.
The atmosphere of taking photos on a rainy day is truly unparalleled, with the pitter-patter of raindrops
falling along the wooden eaves, down the serene path, fresh air
The blue and purple hydrangeas bloom along the sides of the path, forming beautiful flower roads
The land of fortune blooms, truly worthy of being "the most beautiful temple in Hangzhou"
Yongfu Zen Temple in Hangzhou

A temple in Hangzhou that is little known to tourists
Yongfu Temple, which was established at the same time as the famous Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, is hidden beneath the ancient forest at the foot of Shisun Peak to the west, known well by the faithful but little by tourists. The temple is built against the mountain, with a delicate layout, and exudes tranquility and peace.

The temples in Hangzhou, with their zen chambers surrounded by flowers and trees, have reached the next level
It's not the Lingyin Temple, but the neighboring Yongfu Temple❗
In recent years, Yongfu Temple has frequently become popular. From a niche temple where I was the only person in the courtyard years ago, to now at 7 a.m. when it's already crowded...
Hangzhou is truly a romantic city, always with corners that are shining~
.
📍: Yongfu Temple
🔍 Specific Address: No.1, Fayun Alley, West Lake District, Hangzhou, inside the Feilai Peak Scenic Area
🏞️ Nearby attractions: Feilai Peak, Lingyin Temple, Hangzhou Buddhist Academy, Three Tianzhu
🚌 Recommended Transportation: Bus - Lingyin Station
🎫 Ticket: Yongfu Temple is free, Feilai Peak Scenic Area is 45💰; free with Hangzhou Park Card
.
📌 Recommended Route:
Entry: Hangzhou Buddhist Academy - Zhongfa Road - Back door of Yongfu Temple
Exit: Front gate of Yongfu Temple - Lingyin Temple - Feilai Peak - Lingyin Road
❣️I personally really like the road from the Buddhist Academy to the back door of Yongfu Temple, which is full of tea gardens and shaded paths, with fewer people, and is extremely pleasant
.
🔥Hydrangea Photo Strategy:
✅ Hydrangea Arch: The popular photo spot is the arch plus the small bridge behind it, but even if you're the first to enter the temple, it's hard to find a moment when it's empty
✅ Arch + Jialing Lecture Hall: The main picture, with a deep sense of zen chambers surrounded by flowers and trees
✅ On the way to the arch, there is a hydrangea flower path, not fully bloomed yet, but suitable for portraits
✅ In front of the 'Joy for All' plaque: Hydrangea framed with the yellow wall
.
📸 Photo Tips:
◀️ Plain-colored Hanfu, try not to clash with the bright hydrangea flowers
◀️ Universal match: White dress
◀️ Preferably choose the soft light of early morning or evening, as hydrangea flowers can easily be overexposed, but the evening is too crowded

Hangzhou Yongfu Temple | "The Most Blessed Land by the Qiantang River"
✨Upon entering the Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, one must purchase a separate temple ticket in addition to the Feilai Peak scenic area ticket, totaling 75 yuan. If you only bought the Feilai Peak scenic area ticket, does that mean you can't burn incense and pray for blessings?
❗No, of course not!
🌟Yongfu Temple, located to the northwest of Lingyin Temple, does not require any additional charges. Compared to the bustling crowds of Lingyin Temple, Yongfu Temple is more serene and elegant, forming a supernatural Buddhist garden mini scenic area. Four separate courtyards are built along the mountain, arranged in a staggered manner, awaiting everyone to come and burn incense for blessings.
🔺Yongfu Temple was established in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, with a history of 1600 years. It was officially opened to the public in 2005 and is known as the "First Blessed Land of Qiantang River".
⛰️Walking up the mountain, you will pass through Puyuan Jingyuan, Jialing Lecture Hall, Guxiang Zen Institute, and Ziyuan Huiyuan in succession. Each courtyard has different main halls where you can take three incense sticks to pray and worship.
►There is a souvenir shop and a vegetarian noodle restaurant (which closes around 5 pm) at the entrance of the temple;
►There is a small wooden pavilion on the middle platform, one side of which is filled with wooden plaques. There is also a hand-washing pool on the other side where you can rinse off before climbing and worshiping;
►From Ziyuan Huiyuan, one of the four courtyards, you can enjoy the beautiful view of West Lake from a rather high perspective;
☁️After a spring rain, the air carries a moist and fresh scent. Without the strong sunlight, perhaps a cloudy day is the right way to visit a temple.
📍Address: 16 Fayun Alley, Lingyin Road, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province
🚇Transportation: Bus 1314, 79, etc.
⏱️Opening hours: 6:30-17:30

✨Look here! For the first trip in 2023, my friends and I chose Hangzhou, because from 2023.1.1 to 2023.3.31, some scenic spots in Hangzhou are free of charge!✨
🚄Around 6 o'clock in the morning, we arrived at Hangzhou East Station, then took the subway line 1 to Longxiangqiao Station, and then took the No. 7 bus to Lingyin Temple. The scenery of West Lake along the way is simply beautiful!
⛩️First we came to Lingyin Temple, which is free of charge! You can also get free incense. Remember to go to the Dharma Logistics Department to have a look. I bought a lotus bodhi bracelet that I liked, which is really beautiful!
🐱Then we went to Yongfu Temple, where there are many cats, and the temple scenery is also super beautiful. Tea trees and streams make people feel happy!
📸On the last day, we went to Faxi Temple. The photo check-in point is near the corridor on the right side of the temple. It's super atmospheric!
😋In the evening, we went to Xi Street, where there are a lot of snacks. We got moon cakes and lean meatballs, which taste super good!

The first blessed place in Qiantang--Yongfu Zen Temple|||
|||.The first blessed place in Qiantang--Yongfu Zen Temple|||The temple in the photo is Yongfu Zen Temple, known as "the most beautiful temple in China". It is built on top of the famous Lingyin Temple in the south of the Yangtze River, hidden in the forest.
Yongfu Temple, founded by the Indian monk Hui Li during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, can be traced back to more than 1600 years ago.
It is located in Hangzhou, considered the highest temple in the city, and is known as "the most blessed place in Qiantang". It offers a panoramic view of West Lake. In the early Qing Dynasty, the temple experienced ups and downs and disappeared.
In 2003, Master Yue Zhen, the dean of Tiantai Mountain Buddhist Academy, rebuilt Yongfu Temple, and after more than two years of efforts, restoration was achieved.
Yongfu Temple covers more than 300 acres, exceeding Lingyin Temple. Unlike traditional Chinese temples, it does not follow a symmetrical axial pattern, but is built asymmetrically, similar to Zen, integrating the mountain and the temple. The design includes mountain streams, stone paths, tea bamboo fields, and pavilions to create a beautiful and harmonious scene.
Recommended shooting check-in time: around 8 o'clock in the morning, the sun will shine on the maple industry at the entrance of the temple
Location: Yongfu Temple, from the Not Two Dharma Gate to the first blessed place in Qiantang, both the front and back doors are excellent check-in locations
Ticket: Mainly charge the ticket of Feilai Peak 45 yuan! Park card is free

In Hangzhou, Lingyin Temple and Faxi Temple are already well-known and never lack of pilgrims. But the "Qiantang's blessed place" 👉 Yongfu Zen Temple is also worth a visit. Moreover, there are fewer people in Yongfu Temple, it is more Zen-like, and the scenery is even richer.
✨Yongfu Temple was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and has a history of over 1⃣6⃣0⃣0⃣ years. The ancient temple is quiet and built at the foot of Xingsheng Mountain, which was divided into upper and lower temples in the old times.

I was healed by the red leaves and kittens at Yongfu Temple in Hangzhou when winter came
🍁Live on December 17th
I came to chase the last red leaves in Hangzhou on the weekend. On Saturday, I already saw the red leaves falling one by one. So I came to Yongfu Temple early on Sunday morning. I wanted to explore this temple more, but I didn't expect to be healed by the red leaves still left in the temple and the kittens that I met unexpectedly.
I entered Yongfu Temple before 8 o'clock, and there were only a few tourists. I met a big sister who showed me the way to the classic first picture. We waited for the sun to shine on the stone bridge. I also met two cat photographers and took pictures of the cute kittens climbing trees in the sun.
In such a beautiful city as Hangzhou, can a stone be thrown to hit a photography enthusiast who loves life?
🍁Yongfu Temple
1️⃣Located in the Feilai Peak Scenic Area, adjacent to Lingyin Temple, it is known as the first blessed place in Qiantang
2️⃣The classic photo location can wait until after 8 o'clock in the morning, after the sun shines into the temple, take pictures at the entrance of the 'Non-Dual Dharma Gate' and 'The First Blessed Place in Qiantang'
3️⃣There are many stray cats in the temple and the adjacent Fayun Anman Coffee Shop and conference room area. Most of the kittens are not afraid of people. Some will be very excited to grab food when they see it. Be careful not to be scratched by the kittens.
4️⃣The temple has 'Compassionate Cup' coffee and vegetarian noodles, both taste good

On the fifteenth day of the tenth month of the Gui Mao year, during the Wei/ Shen hour, at Yongfu Temple/ Yangmei Ridge
After having lunch at Lanxuan, as soon as you enter the Feilai Peak Scenic Area, Yongfu Temple is on your left hand side! Why come to Yongfu Temple? It's all because of the show Qiang Qiang Travel the World!
🌟Highlights:
Yongfu Temple is located about a mile west of Lingyin, under the Shisun Peak. It has a history of over 1600 years, dating back to the Eastern Jin Dynasty when the Zen Master Huili founded it. The Yongfu Zen Temple covers more than 300 acres, with buildings rising along the mountain. The temple is divided into five open courtyards: Puyuan Jingyuan, Jialing Lecture Hall, Ziyanyueyuan, Ancient Incense Zen Court, and Fuquan Tea Court. It has seven entrances, five halls, three halls, two pavilions, two towers, five pavilions, and over a thousand ancient trees and famous woods. It is one of the largest temples restored by the Buddhist community in Hangzhou.
Speaking of Yongfu Temple, there is also Master Donggao Xinyue to mention. He was born in Pujiang, Jinhua, in the late Ming Dynasty. He became a monk at the age of 8, stayed at Yongfu Zen Temple at the age of 33, for a total of 6 years, and went to Japan at the age of 38. Master Donggao Xinyue was good at poetry and calligraphy, seal carving, and music. He was an outstanding figure who had a significant influence on Japanese culture since Jianzhen's eastward journey during the Tang Dynasty.
📝Tips:
There are still many people in the scenic area, and this way up is all climbing. At the entrance of the last courtyard, the casual strength came again, so dinner was booked at Guiyu Mountain House. As soon as there are more tourists, everything looks... sigh😑 Bought a casual coffee, and then walked out the same way, leaving... took a taxi all the way to Yangmei Ridge Village.
🌟Highlights:
Yangmei Ridge Village is located on the south line of the West Lake Scenic Area, and is the source of the Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies in the Qianjiang Scenic Area. The village is surrounded by mountains on all sides, with lush trees and beautiful scenery; the village used to produce a lot of bayberries, and now there are large tea gardens. Choosing this village is purely for a stroll before dinner. I didn't know that walking from the village entrance all the way to Qianlong Road is the entrance to the Jiuxi Scenic Area, Li'an Temple, and Jiuxi Smoke Tree are all on this line; the scenic area has a shuttle bus, which operates according to the timetable, and goes all the way down to the Qiantang River. Next time, next time, I'll come again if I have a chance~

Hangzhou Yongfu Temple is located at the Shijing Peak in the west of the Lingyin Temple. It has a history of more than 1,600 years since the Jin Dynasty of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. According to the "Tangguan Fu" in the "Hangzhou Fuzhi" volume of the Qing Emperor Kangxi period, Yongfu Temple is located in the shape of the mountain above the Feilai Mountain, and the old temple is divided into two temples, the same as the temple of the next Tianzhu (formerly known as the scripture theater). It was created by the Huizhen Zen Master. According to the report, in the first year of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (362 years), the West Indian sorghum Huili came to Hang Zhuoxi to build a plaque, and successively built ten dojos such as Lingbi and Lingyin. Yongfu Temple is one of them. It has been more than 1600 years ago. history.

Yongfu Temple, located next to Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, is also a place for many locals to go to the festival every year. Because the mountains are very high, it is also a good choice to take a walk.
There are no years in the mountains. Naturally. Its really a very good Yongfu Temple. The stream is flowing and the whole heart can be quiet!

Hangzhou Yongfu Temple was restored with the positioning of Buddhist culture, which is one of the great blessings of Hangzhou Buddhist community. Its rich Buddhist historical human resources and Buddhism tourism and cultural resources complement each other, and it is bound to become another Buddhist sightseeing spot in the Lingyin Scenic Area, which will add a lot to the tourism business of the West Lake Scenic Area. The temple does not require tickets and is included in the ticket to the Feilai Peak Scenic Area (45 yuan). Famous scenic spots include Puyuanyuan and Fuquan Temple, etc. The surrounding mountains are lush and the scenery is elegant and pleasant. At the same time, there are four officially open courtyards, and each courtyard is composed of a three-dimensional Buddhist garden scenic spot. So coming here is a lot of religious culture.
