Yuewang Temple, where the hero rests eternally among mountains and rivers after an eight-thousand-mile journey of clouds and moon
Located on the north bank of West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, at the Qixialing Ridge, Yuewang Temple, also known as Yue Tomb or Yue Temple, is the burial place of Yue Fei, a famous Song Dynasty general who resisted the Jin Dynasty and a national hero. Yuewang Temple was listed as a key national cultural heritage site in 1961.
In the eleventh year of the Shaoxing era of the Southern Song Dynasty (1142), Yue Fei, along with his eldest son Yue Yun and his officer Zhang Xian, were killed on trumped-up charges. The jailer Wei Shun carried Yue Fei's body out of Lin'an City to the Jiukong Cong Temple and buried it at Beishan. In the thirty-second year of Shaoxing (1162), Emperor Xiaozong of Song ascended to the throne and posthumously exonerated Yue Fei in the name of the abdicated Emperor Gaozong, reburied Yue Fei's remains with the honors of a first-rank official at the southern foot of Qixialing in Hangzhou. The tomb of Yue Fei was renovated by successive dynasties.
In the fifty-fourth year of the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty (1715), the tomb of Yue Fei was rebuilt, changing the original architectural specifications. In the sixth year of the Jiaqing era (1801), Ruan Yuan, the governor of Zhejiang, renovated Yue Fei's tomb and hung the plaque 'Yuewang Temple' above the main entrance, which has been used to this day.
In the 1960s and 1970s, Yuewang Temple suffered severe damage. In 1978, it was restored and reopened.

Yue Temple Travelogue
Yue Temple, located on the banks of the West Lake in Hangzhou, is a solemn and majestic temple, and also a famous historical and cultural monument in China. Here lies Yue Fei, a renowned general of the Southern Song Dynasty who resisted the Jin invaders. His lofty national integrity and loyal patriotic spirit inspire generations of Chinese sons and daughters.
On a sunny morning, I came to Yue Temple with a feeling of reverence. Passing through the simple mountain gate, the first thing that caught my eye was a pair of majestic stone lions, as if they were guarding this sacred land. Walking along the bluestone path, a grand hall appeared before me, which is the Yue Fei Memorial Hall. Inside the hall, Yue Fei's life achievements are displayed with both pictures and texts, vividly presenting the legendary life of this national hero.
Continuing forward, I came to the tomb of Yue Fei. The tombstone is inscribed with the words 'Tomb of King Yue of E of the Song Dynasty', which appears solemn and respectful. Fresh flowers and offerings are placed in front of the tomb, expressing people's admiration and remembrance of Yue Fei. Standing in front of the tomb, a surge of respect welled up in my heart, and I bowed deeply to this brave national hero.
Walking past Yue Fei's tomb, I arrived at the Yue Fei Temple behind the tomb. Inside the temple, a statue of Yue Fei is enshrined. He is dressed in battle armor, holding a long sword, with a bright gaze and a majestic demeanor. The temple is filled with the smoke of incense, and the faithful pray sincerely, hoping that Yue Fei's spirit in heaven can bless them with peace and happiness.
Strolling in the courtyard of Yue Temple, I felt a sense of tranquility and harmony. Here, the trees are shady, and the birds and flowers are fragrant, as if it were a paradise. And those ancient buildings that have withstood the test of time, make one marvel at the passage of the years. Here, I seemed to see Yue Fei's brave image and heard his sonorous oath: 'To serve my country with utmost loyalty, and to die without regrets!'
As the sun set, I left Yue Temple full of respect. Looking back, the solemn and majestic temple was even more imposing and mysterious in the glow of the setting sun. At this moment, my heart was surging with pride for having such a brave national hero in the Chinese nation. And Yue Fei's lofty national integrity and loyal patriotic spirit will forever inspire us to strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!

How to spend the Spring Festival in Hangzhou in 2024? Come to the patriotic base
In the blink of an eye, the Spring Festival of 2024 is coming!
According to the holiday notice, the holiday adjustment will be from February 10th to 17th, a total of 8 days. Work on February 4th (Sunday) and February 18th (Sunday), our traditional holiday does not have a holiday! In addition, the free time for highways is from 0:00 on February 10th to 24:00 on February 17th. The free vehicle types are passenger vehicles with 7 seats (including 7 seats) and motorcycles driving on ordinary toll roads.
Last year, all free highways implemented card-free lifting and passing, which greatly saved waiting time and improved travel efficiency. I believe this year will be no exception.
So the question is, where should I go if I want to come to Hangzhou for the Spring Festival in 2024? It is recommended that everyone come to a patriotic base, there is a "mysterious gift", it's great!
What I want to say is the Yuewang Temple, located at the southern foot of Qixialing in Hangzhou, is the tomb of the famous anti-Jin general Yue Fei of the Southern Song Dynasty, and it has been preserved relatively intact after hundreds of years!
According to historical records, Yuewang Temple was built in the 14th year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty (1221), and the architectural specifications were changed when it was rebuilt in the 54th year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1715). By 1979, Yue Fei's tomb was fully renovated in the architectural style of the Southern Song Dynasty. The entire tomb is divided into three parts: the cemetery, the Zhonglie Shrine, and the Qizhong Shrine. Up to now, it has been listed as one of the hundred "national patriotism education bases for primary and middle school students" by six departments such as the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, the State Education Commission, and the Ministry of Culture. It is one of the popular attractions for everyone to come to Hangzhou!
After arriving at Yuewang Temple, you can feel the cleanliness and solemnity here for the first time. The entire temple is divided into three major parts: the Zhonglie Shrine area, the cemetery area, and the Qizhong Shrine area. The ancient architecture that has been new for a long time outlines the ancient style of loyalty and filial piety.
After being in it, I can really feel the spirit of "serving the country with loyalty". This ubiquitous influence is no wonder it is used as a patriotic education base.
Through the exhibition area, you can know that Yue Fei is not only brave and good at fighting, but also able to dance with ink. The gallery of Yue Temple displays his handwritten poems and nine pieces of calligraphy works.
Many little friends come to Yuewang Temple just to do two things, one is to quietly offer flowers in front of Yue Fei's tomb, and the other is to slap the four kneeling statues. The "Man Jiang Hong" unconsciously sounded in my mind, making people cry!
For the first time, the little friends who came to visit can follow the route of Yue Fei Bronze Statue ——Gate——Zhonglie Shrine——Lie Wenhou Shrine——Fu Wenhou Shrine——Yue Fei's Famous Sayings Stele——Yue Fei Memorial Hall——Yue Fei's Tomb——Southwest Gate. Among them, there are also highlights such as "Serving the Country with Loyalty", "Gallery", "Loyal Spring", "Zhengqi Pavilion", "Yue Wangbao Ding", etc., everyone can find it slowly!
Now the Spring Festival of 2024 is coming soon, and there are surprises in Yuewang Temple, and a "mysterious gift" has been launched!
This is the first gift of the Yuewang Temple Cultural Creation Jia Chen Long Year: "One Ingot Win"!
Many people will smile when they hear the name, is it "definitely win"? Yes, what is launched is a souvenir in the shape of silver, which contains the reputation of rising day by day, contains the firm belief of winning and auspicious meaning. Its shape is taken from the ancient Chinese silver ingot, with the word "Ding Sheng" on the front and the word "Win" at the bottom.
Why choose these three words? The main implication is "Ding Sheng", "must win", if you like, you can buy it at the cultural and creative shop of Yuewang Temple.

Yuewang Temple (Tomb of Yue Fei) was built in honor of Chinese national hero Yue Fei. With its solemn and serene atmosphere, it has placed among the top 10 sights of the West Lake three times. Backed by Qixia Mountain, Yuewang Temple is located to the north of Su Causeway. As the sun sets, a glittering beam of light is cast over the tomb, creating a beautiful sight. For this reason, it is nicknamed "the Yue tomb in the sunset".

Hangzhou Qixialing Xiayue Wang Temple, Gu Baisensen, Wutongsha.
Opposite is the West Lake Broken Bridge, the most crowded tourist vacation, the shoulders are connected, each person is difficult to walk, it is said that tourists are often squeezed into the West Lake. I dont know if Yue Wang knows in heaven, should you laugh at all beings?
Many years ago, the first green-skin train missed the night to come to Hangzhou. In addition to going to the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, it was the Yuefei Temple that I remembered. I looked at the comic book "Yue Fei Chuan" when I was a child, and my mother-in-law tattooed and loyal to the country. The story is in mind. When it came in the rainy days, I saw the four traits of the priests worshipped in front of the tomb of Yue Wang. It was dirty and wretched, and it aroused the youthful spirit, and hated not to spit a few feet to hate.
Beishan Road, get off the stairs and enter the Yuewang Temple. The couplets on both sides are the famous words of Yue Fei's "Man Jianghong", "Thirty Gongs of Dust and Earth, Eight Thousand Miles of Clouds and Moons", and the main hall is the title of Ye Shuai. "Heart of the Sun and the Moon", the hall of the plaque is Yue Fei's handwritten "Return My River Mountain", the font is powerful, and the meaning of the home country in the meaning of the word is clear to the chest. Every time I look up, I will teach people to boil.
Walk in it, the afternoon sun passes through the tree-lined gaps, flying dragonflies, inscriptions, door nails, light and shadow mottled. It is the Qingming Festival, reminiscent of the spirit, thinking of the ancients and the present.

Hangzhou Yuewang Temple is located at the northwest corner of West Lake, north of the western section of Beishan Road. Yuewang Temple is a place to commemorate the national hero Yue Fei. Yuewang Temple was built in 1221 (the 14th year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty). During the Ming Dynasty, it was renamed the Yuelie Temple. It experienced the abandonment of the Yuan, Ming, Qing and the Republic of China. It has been preserved from generation to generation.
A place of recollection of a generation of patriotic heroes. Strictly speaking, this place should not be regarded as an attraction, because it is more to express a kind of nostalgia and admiration.
