Yung Kee the Best Roast Goose in HK
Yung Kee was established in 1942, serving the best charcoal-grilled barbecued roast goose in Hong Kong. It was named in Bib Gourmand Michelin Guide 2012. The skin of their roast goose was so crispy, the meat was juicy with a special aroma. Other than roast goose, they also serve a wide variety of barbecued specialties, appetizers, seasonal delicacies, vegan dishes, and desserts. Must try their delicious roast pork, preserved egg with pickled ginger, dim sum, and more. The restaurant is located in the Central District of Hong Kong, the price is on the high side but worth the money you spent. Highly recommended.

🇭🇰 Yung Kee Michelin star
Coming to Hong Kong is mostly food-motivated for me and I have tried so many of them. Yung Kee is Michelin star rated and located at Central, at Wellington street. You will definitely have to order their goose over here. I have dined here and also bought takeaway and their taste remained the same. Many years ago, before the restriction of bringing goose meat back to Singapore, I did manage to take away and bring back a goose, nicely packed inside a box. Now I am hungry and will have to look for some roast duck meat to sadist my cravings for goose.
*photos are taken before pandemic and HK is not open for travelling yet but I will be there soon :)

Authentic Cantonese cuisine here
Over half a century ago, Yung Kee began as a modest food stand and has since grown into one of Hong Kong's most well-known Chinese restaurants. It was the only Chinese restaurant on Fortune magazine's ranking of the Top 15 Restaurants in the World in 1968. Roast goose is the hallmark dish, and up to 300 geese are roasted each day to accommodate hungry diners during the lunch and evening rushes. Visitors from other countries can even purchase it pre-packaged to take home. The restaurant is visited by the wealthy and famous, including Li Ka-Shing, a business magnate, and Chow Yun-fat, an actor.
